Funny, matco, launch,, icarsoft, all of these scanners are using the same software. Some charge monthly, others charge yearly, some do not charge at all. Interesting. Good channel, glad I found you. If you ever need Mercedes help, reach out to me. Lou
You can also buy the Launch VPro 3 for $1250, which is what the MaxMe platform is designed after, and it doesn't require monthly subscription for multi line coverage.
1000 dollars plus 150 a month to have all cars get Autel for 2500 and pay only updates. I have onather matco works ok it's the same thing as Launch scanners only more money. ur parking aid is the speaker in the back that beeps when u backing up
Had a thought with that M60 supercharger. Combine that with a stroker kit from (I think) 505 industries. A hemi head from fastsix or aussiespeed. A few things from Banks. Hope your not running that 34r 34re. I've chewed my way threw two of them. I ended up trading it out for a Chevy 4L60. Cost a bit but I havnt had a issue with trans failure yet. And that's over a year ago. I think that's the correct trans that was in my jeep originally. I have a 97 grand lorado.
Nice scanner. Do you know if it will do mode 6 (misfire data)? If it does that can be very handy as sometimes it can take awhile to set a hard misfire code where with mode 6 you can see it as it is happening.
it's a good higher end scanner for those on a budget, if i had the 2500 to get a better one i would have but this one was just around the 1000 dollar mark
Hey brother, beautiful tool there man... I'm interested in buying one online now. What Model # is your particular unit? I want to buy the same one you review and demonstrate in your video... Thanks in advance!
Anybody know if it will program key fobs on a 2001 Chevy Cavalier/Sunfire/Alero J body vehicles? Typically, this would have to be done with a GM based proprietary bidirectional scan tool. Thanks
it is a regular scanner without the subscription, there is different tests you can with with each module that you subscribe too but I haven't gotten too much into it yet
You know your channel is doing well when Matco replies on your video! That thing is bad-ass! Think you can ship it out to me so I can borrow it for my fuel cut issue on my Jeep? lol
Nice scanner the only complaint i have its that in the shop that i work at, i don't deal with just one make so i can go overboard and waste my entire weekly paycheck or my whole months salary worth on makes and models for the subscriptions, talking about having Honda, Mercedes, toyota, nissan, lexus, volvo, bmw bumrushing in my shop all at once plus more and this is daily!!!
I'm interested in buying the maxme, but I heard from other techs that matco scanners tend to freeze and loose connection to the obd dongle. Also that they are slow compared to other scanners. What is your unbiased opinion?
***** i have had issues with it freezing, however i don't find it slow by any means. I mean the software isn't perfect i've found few bugs but i'm sure they will correct it over time
$849 in the US from Matco. Looks like a pretty decent tool for the money! It's less than the MaxiDAS (which is SHIT, by the way...), and while it's not quite as capable as some of the SnapOn tools, it's an incredibly low price for a bi-directional OEM-capable scantool. Also great to see on this video. That thing is FAST! :D
And if you don't keep it updated you lose your information and it turns into a generic code reader and that is it. With Snap-On you keep everything you pay for.
I honestly f*cking hate that car manufacturers have chosen to hide all this on-board computer info and people have to make these decypher diagnostic tools, instead of simply allowing everyone to simply choose some kind of "Advanced mode" on car's dashboard computer screen and instantly see all faults and info out-of-the-box.
the only things I want in a scanner are: - the usual OBD II bullshit that every scantool can do - bidirectional controls - J2534 programming - low cost if I can get that, I'd buy 10 of them
Matco Tools Love the new scanner, it's nice to see a high quality scanner for under a 1000 dollars and plus the monthly subscription is awesome
Hi I am looking forward to seeing you use the Matco tools tablet scanner on your BMW E46 325XI and others as well.
Do you have any experience with the Snap On scan tools? How do they compare to the Matco scan tool?
Funny, matco, launch,, icarsoft, all of these scanners are using the same software. Some charge monthly, others charge yearly, some do not charge at all.
Interesting. Good channel, glad I found you.
If you ever need Mercedes help, reach out to me.
Lou
Matco uses launch software, it’s even branded launch
@@BackCountryWrenching seems like the same chinese reverse engineered software programs are shared across anything you will find out there today.
cool looking scanner!does it have a trouble shooter like the snap on solus scanner?im looking for a new scanner tired of paying snap on for hi fees.
Does it do PATS functions on fords?
What it's telling you is that the software inside the MaxMe on vehicle specific coverage is the same as the dealer O.E scan tool.
You can also buy the Launch VPro 3 for $1250, which is what the MaxMe platform is designed after, and it doesn't require monthly subscription for multi line coverage.
nice scanner, looking forward to see it in action on the future videos. can you tell me what was the back round music. I like it lol
it's royalty free music, that i'm allowed to use in videos, I am not sure where someone would be able to get it
That's funny, my woman was asking me the same thing.
Bullshitkorner UA-cam has royalty free music. Look in editing your video with in youtube.
Nice- now the Beemers a whole different animal, can't wait to see how it interfaces . This I got to see 👍
the BMW interface is different i'll do a video this weekend at night so you can see better what it can do
1000 dollars plus 150 a month to have all cars get Autel for 2500 and pay only updates. I have onather matco works ok it's the same thing as Launch scanners only more money. ur parking aid is the speaker in the back that beeps when u backing up
En definitiva vale la pena comprarlo o no ?
That's awesome... Looking forward to seeing in the BMW... Thanks...

i don't think i'd go with a stroker, i'd get a motor from 505 but get upgraded pistons, bigger cam and different heads
You rock brother... I'm headed to score me a MAXme copy! ALOHA!!
Nice scanner. Do you know if it will do mode 6 (misfire data)? If it does that can be very handy as sometimes it can take awhile to set a hard misfire code where with mode 6 you can see it as it is happening.
that i dunno as of yet, i haven't really played around with it to fully see what it can or can't do
+Bullshitkorner can this scanner do maintenance resets?
it does on the vehicles i have used it on
Do you still suggest the maxme after one year of use
it's a good higher end scanner for those on a budget, if i had the 2500 to get a better one i would have but this one was just around the 1000 dollar mark
Tony Michelon. hell no I've had a problem with the screen with in a couple of weeks of owning that shit box
Will it do coding on Volkswagen?
it can but coding on vag-com is way easier
Thanks
does it perform bi-direcrtional controls when subscribing to certain vehicles?
Yes! You get full O.E coverage and capabilities.
Hey brother, beautiful tool there man... I'm interested in buying one online now. What Model # is your particular unit? I want to buy the same one you review and demonstrate in your video...
Thanks in advance!
the model number is in the title and in the video MaxME
Okay!
no encuentro instrucciones en español de como se opera este scanner.y de como se activa
I love the new technology scanners, a guy could pay it off going around identifying and repairing vehicles without all the guess work.
Anybody know if it will program key fobs on a 2001 Chevy Cavalier/Sunfire/Alero J body vehicles? Typically, this would have to be done with a GM based proprietary bidirectional scan tool. Thanks
BMW will be a challenge. They have so many parameters, including lock positions, cam advance degrees, etc, very complicated.
You see one you seen them all. It eventually becomes second nature:
Will it work as a regular scanner if you can't pay 20$ for a car model? And can you do functional test & system test on it?
it is a regular scanner without the subscription, there is different tests you can with with each module that you subscribe too but I haven't gotten too much into it yet
can it do power balance testing with the ford add on?
I believe it can, i'll look and do a video on it
Good review i need one for my ford and honda personal use so 20 month fee not bad my matco guy in later this week
Does it do Throttle relearn for Gm cars?
Yoshi Hero4 yes
You know your channel is doing well when Matco replies on your video! That thing is bad-ass! Think you can ship it out to me so I can borrow it for my fuel cut issue on my Jeep? lol
My Maxme has screen issues. Locks up. Software has all sorts of issues. Don't buy. Spend the money for a good Snap on.
My guy dropped mine off last nite he says there is a big update coming next month
no way really, I wonder what that is
Nice scanner the only complaint i have its that in the shop that i work at, i don't deal with just one make so i can go overboard and waste my entire weekly paycheck or my whole months salary worth on makes and models for the subscriptions, talking about having Honda, Mercedes, toyota, nissan, lexus, volvo, bmw bumrushing in my shop all at once plus more and this is daily!!!
all vehicles are 120 a month or you can bundle america, european, asian for 60 each a month
Damn what is your shop paying you? if $120 and your broke id move lol
Just buy the snap on Verus edge
i got the Snap on Verus pro not overly impressed with it
I have verus edge I love it my friend has Autel scanner did like that one
is the virus edge bi-directional ?
Yes it is
Me pueden ayudar en esoañol
I'm interested in buying the maxme, but I heard from other techs that matco scanners tend to freeze and loose connection to the obd dongle. Also that they are slow compared to other scanners. What is your unbiased opinion?

It's nice too that you can buy subscriptions monthy instead of yearly. If I just need the ford, or bmw module it's only 20 a month
Lol i just ordered one here tomorrow thanks for review 919 here toronto
that's awesome, it's well worth the money
And if you don't keep it updated you lose your information and it turns into a generic code reader and that is it. With Snap-On you keep everything you pay for.
You should do your jeep with it
i will be for sure in the future
I want to see it on the BMW... Please..!!!
i will have a video on the BMW next week, it's got a way different scan menu as everything is broken down in modules
I hear ya, but in all honesty, those codes really can only be figured out by techs anyways.. or the serious DIYers
Cool video
Damn, you could spend all day on that. Awesome tool
yes you certainly can, there is tons of options i just need to sit down and figure it all out
nice
the only things I want in a scanner are:
- the usual OBD II bullshit that every scantool can do
- bidirectional controls
- J2534 programming
- low cost
if I can get that, I'd buy 10 of them
you are not able to J2534 program with this, not sure if you can get a add on module or not or if that is something totally separate
