Hello Budgee. You have had a bit of bad luck with your boat and outboard, but things have picked up for you now. I would be having words with the dealer who took your outboard for scrap, then decided to get it running again for himself. Really enjoy watching your channel. Good luck. Steve 👍
Hey shame about the outboard engine was a right off . But I see now you have the Honwave 4 m good choice of boat . I use my Honwave 4 m every opportunity I get . I great as I live in Wareham Dorset so 5 min to slip way on river Frome . All best Mark
It sucked what happened but it did turn out to be a wicked weekend in the end even if it was an expensive one for you!! Can’t wait for next summer to get back out there!! ☀️☀️☀️
Happy new year to you and your family. Thanks for taking the time to message me, it means a lot!! Here’s to the new year and all the adventures it might bring🥂🍾
Definitely learned a lot from the experience. As they say, “ you only learn from making mistakes “. Just can’t wait to see what the next chapter is, my glass is always half full and I’m hoping something good will come along for next years boat season!!!!👍
Wow I'm not alone! I actually had to be rescued from an island in Lake Michigan when my 2 stroke blew a coil then I dropped my backup motor in the lake! Fortunately I had tow insurance (a must) & the water being fresh I actually got the motor running again & fixed the coil on the other so hoping to have better luck next summer (for both of us!) Don't give up it's all apart of the adventure! 🤪🤯💔🤙🤗🚤🎄☃️🐶
Hello Budgee. So sorry to hear what happened with your boat. It certainly was an expensive day for you. I was amazed however how much Harley has grown in the months between the boat incident and the winter clips. If you can get a small rib with a console that would be excellent. If you go for another sib the Honwave T38 ie2 is a lovely sized boat and is about £1,300 new at the moment. A small rib with a trailer would however be better if you can find one at a decent price. I was wondering if it is possible to claim any of the loss from your insurance. Perhaps your Go Pro on the House contents insurance. Keep your pecker up it will soon be spring and you can enjoy the new boat search
Sorry to hear this! Love your videos. I’ve got a small rib on a trailer and to be honest, yes the steering wheel and fixed motor is nice, but I’d use it so much more if it was a roll up boat that I could launch anywhere like you do. I’m finding the trailer launching thing a costly liability in launching fees, parking fees trailer servicing and restricted on speed when towing. Also if your motor comes off it’s easier to get it serviced because you don’t need to wait for a yard to be able to take the whole set up
That so nice, I’m so grateful you made that suggestion but it was my stupidity that caused the accident in the first place so I wouldn’t dream of asking anyone for a go fund me. I just couldn’t accept it, I’m too proud for that. My mistake and I’m totally owning it, it’s on me! I sure have been overwhelmed with sympathy and I’m so grateful. The video was more to show people what not to do and I hope you can all learn from my mishap!!! I’m really feeling the love, thank you❤️❤️❤️
Well done for having a kill cord! Very sensible!
The end of a new beginning things happen for a reason you will be back with a better boat 💪🏻

If this only just happened get the engine into fresh water and leave it submerged in it til you can get it to a mechanic
Call bull on that lol 😆
It’s would be nice if someone could set up a go fund me page to help budgee get back on the water ❤❤
