Works great. Thank you for the inspiration!
Great! You are very welcome!
How would you do it if you wanted to have a light strip reacting to what the tv is displaying. (Like DreamScreen I think)
Is there light strips where you can control each LED ? Or should I have multiple light strips ?
I'd like to do it this way :
- Video Source connected to a HDMI splitter.
- Splitter connected to TV and Raspberry PI
But I'm not sure how to handle the light part
Hi, there is a solution for this called Hyperion.
See this for example: www.instructables.com/DIY-Ambilight-With-Raspberry-Pi-and-NO-Arduino-Wor/
Great
Nice that it helped
Can this controller be paired with the Sonoff Zigbee bridge?
I guess it can. I could pair it with the Conbee 2 stick like 2 years ago, so I would think that it should be supported.
@@SmartHomeJunkie thanks for the prompt reply.
Gledopto controller doesn’t work with entertainment areas - it’s not native hue. Bummer. Any tips?
You might want to try the hue essentials app instead.
@@SmartHomeJunkie sadly that and the iLightShow require these to be native in order to truly use as “fast” entertainment areas (ie, strobe and pulse effects). For now I’m just wiring up hue controllers to my cob strips.
Thanks
Can i control it by Wall switch? Haw?
Yes, you can if the wall switch is a zigbee switch.
Can we control it with ha?
Yes, just like you can control your other hue lights with HA. This works exactly the same.
Can you update the parts links?
I checked them in the description of this video, but they work fine on my end.
Might be me, I will figure it out. Thank you!
@@SmartHomeJunkie Unfortunately, the links don't work for me either. If I remove the .s from the url, then I get to the provider. Where then the question remains, which LED strips I should take exactly, the one with 60 Leds per meter? Thanks for an answer and the great videos.
I just double checked the links and they still work on my side. Not sure what is wrong on your side. Might be because of the url not working in your country? Where are you from?
I updated the links. Hopefully they work now for you too.
