That was incredibly exciting! My eyes were glued to each lap (mostly to the top of the screen to see if you got another incident)! More aero racing!
Glad to hear you say this is one of the toughest. I just did my first race in the Ligier AND in the Falken Challenge. I'm just happy I made it out alive but I was up to 14x by the end of it, I kept cutting the last chicane too. I was up a couple positions by the end but being one of my first longer races I didn't know I had to fuel up before the grid.... ran out of fuel on the penultimate lap and ended up one down :'(
Jeez Dave, how do you sit in that race seat without crushing those giant brass balls? Dodging those GT4's, whew...

I would love it if you did more LMP3 stuff. I've gotten into this season and I'm loving it.
LMP3 is still my absolute favorite car to drive on iRacing. Ive had more success in that LMP3/GT4 series than anything else. Picked up my first road win in it at Zandvoort recently
This is my first week of racing the LMP3 and man… what an awesome combo it was with road Atlanta! Agreed on the hairpin tho, it feels so slow and awkward in the LMP3
Actually was one of your most interesting races to watch. Never really liked multi-class group racing with such speed differentials myself; but, you did great. Seemed that iRacing counted at least two touches that didn't really happen per what I saw visually.

I bet it is the right hand drive that is inviting the offtracks into the chicane after the straight. So easy to place the car further inside than you should like that, when most cars are left hand drive.
Also, I knew you were lying just as you said "I wont get the offtrack there every lap". I said as much to myself out loud :D
I won this race after that last chicane contact. Felt bad for xian! Good race Dave!
I have lost nearly 100 irating this week in this track because of dirty drivers and my own mistakes, I would say was the most challenging track so far for me!
LMP3s always get such a hard time for killing GT4s when really the GT4s don't need any help, always such an angry class. The incident reel here was mostly GT4s, even before the race had started!

Honestly, the iRacing track limits are ridiculous. I'm not asking for Kunos' Imola level of ridiculous limits, but sneezing at the kerbs should not count as an off-track. They're made for driving on, damn it! If they didn't want us to drive there, they shouldn't have paved it!

Yes quite possibly. Even though my irl car is rhd I always prefer lhd in the sim 🫤

Tough? Try this being in a GT4 car and the LMP3's are being driven by sub 1k iRating maniacs. Some of these guys don't understand that a GT4 cars is less nimble and forcing them of the line can cause a massive time loss. Was lucky not to get in any crashes this past week but I have seen many others that got run of the road.
How did you change your weather overlay from being a column? that looks much nicer and i would like to have this for myself. i have racelabs pro

Help me please. What are the rules for off tracks in iRacing? I don´t get it. Is it three out? two out? one out? or is it different on every corner? Some places ur 4 out no X, some places ur 2 out n get an X.
It's one out but changes every turn. Not consistent at all 🫤

It's been 15 years and iRacing still haven't been able to fix the blinking or make it any better. Just today I crashed on one guy that had span and just appeared in front of my on a corner.
I know it's unrealistic but ghosting for 2ish seconds when re-appearing after a blink would be nice.
@@Gr00t Well, I'd say that it's quite unrealistic as well that car suddlenly jumps up or starts 'wheeling' etc.. but that ghosting would at least give some indication if where someone might be.
Just goes to show how difficult this car is to drive.
What do you set the FOV of your top mirror at?
