@@xkaramx1977 not entirely true..... today's karate sport is not effective it's a sport.... a game..... the kumite method was the same.... with points.... but the old one jka wasn't so light.....in kumite you entered with different techniques with a high risk of ko....there wasn't all this useless control....they really knew how to fight
Thats not real karate .In the way its more in the competitive style , focusing on getting the point .Thats what sports karate actually is .If you want watch traditional karate tournaments,we dont even use gloves in these and we focus more on fast ,good technique which makes it more practical and useful.
Karate of today is softier than before, before you can made a k.o, karate athlete before are focusing of winning, now of win point. Try karate combat or kyukushinkai
