@@CWJahTube …..question why do you say Jah and not Yah like as it would be pronounced in Hebrew?

      @CWJahTube  10 днів тому

@Non-Assumpsit Because I speak English. When I use Hebrew, I say, Yah.

Thinking here you don’t translate name’s meaning if your name is Sandy it would be the same all over the World…

I would choose the text authority with several examples. It shows more evidence.

I'm a unitarian in the sense that I'm anti nicean and anti trinity. I had an awakening, and I got drawn into the trinity delusion. I read the kjv.
I used to read that verse as Jesus speaking, but when you look at verse 8, it seems like it's out of place it's right in the middle of John speaking about his testimony it seems like that verse should be the start or end of a command from God to John.
It does make me wonder if these are actually John's words we are reading because honestly, everything leading up to verse 11 sounds like Paul speaking.
Maybe the same writer of other books from the 3rd - 4th century.
Either way, the one on the throne seems to be Jesus, and even John draws a distinct difference in roles or majesty of the father.
It is also clear that God speaks through agency by spirits and angels or prophets.

The one being referenced in revelation 1:8 is not Jesus that’s the father, revelation 1:4 gives you the context Jesus isn’t listed until the next verse in Rev 1:5

Revelation 1 does not say that TWO are coming, only ONE and that is the Alpha and the Omega
7 Behold, He is coming with clouds, and every eye will see Him, even they who pierced Him. And all the tribes of the earth will mourn because of Him. Even so, Amen.
8 “I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End,” says the Lord, “who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.”

very interesting. i have a question. the divine name was known in the first century. j e s u s spoke it. the exact pronunciation, even if the religious leaders were unsure. his disciples also knew the exact pronunciation. those who wrote the tetragrammaton also knew the exact pronunciation. why is it that j e h o v a h's witnesses do not know it? they claim to be the people for his name. they claim to be servants of the enthroned kingdom. the exact pronunciation is not revealed to them, as it was revealed in the first century. if they are the people for his name, they will be the first among God's people not to know it, since the days of the tetragrammaton. could you please comment on this?

Sounds like you have a gripe with them specifically because many different religions pronounce YHWH differently and it’s ok because it’s a foreign name. You’re missing the bigger picture, don’t get tripped up on the exact pronunciation because as long as you’re close it’s ok. Jesus’ name wasn’t Jesus either it’s Yeshua etc.

@@Mr.Market777 my name is e d w a r d ... it isn't e d w i n. God does have a name, and it has a correct pronunciation. there are many reasons for why i believe this religion isn't exclusive, for that matter, any religion at this time. i have no dog in the fight here. i am not of this religion. i am an observer of many religions. this religion claims to be God's sole channel of communication, and yet God has not revealed his name to them. they claim to proclaim his incorrect name more than any other religion. if so, then m a t t h e w 7:22 has new meaning. 'did we not prophesy in your name'. this verse is applying to them. j e h o v a h is not God's name. it's a poor e n g l i s h equivalent. if these are indeed the people of prophesy, then, they should know its pronunciation.

    Isaiah 44:6
“This is what the Lord says- Israel’s King and Redeemer, the Lord Almighty: I am the first and I am the last; apart from me there is no God.
    Isaiah 48:12
“Listen to me, Jacob, Israel, whom I have called: I am he; I am the first and I am the last.
    Revelation 2:8
“To the angel of the church in Smyrna write: These are the words of him who is the First and the Last, who died and came to life again.
The 'First and the Last who died and came to life again was Jesus Christ and the First and the Last is YHWH.
Unless you want to claim that you believe in two true Lords, then Jesus is the ONLY ONE TRUE LORD YHWH

The OT was in Hebrew and the NT is in Greek so yes they are different words and a different language
in Hebrews the word used for 'first' is
      rishon: First, former, chief, primary
      Original Word: רִאשׁוֹן
      Part of Speech: Adjective
      Transliteration: rishon
      Pronunciation: ree-SHON
      Phonetic Spelling: (ree-shone')
      Definition: First, former, chief, primary
Meaning: first, in place, time, rank
Word Origin: Derived from the root רָאשׁ (rosh), meaning "head" or "beginning."
In Greek the equivalent word used for 'first' is
      prótos: First, foremost, chief, principal
      Original Word: πρῶτος
      Part of Speech: Adjective
      Transliteration: prótos
      Pronunciation: PRO-tos
      Phonetic Spelling: (pro'-tos)
      Definition: First, foremost, chief, principal
Meaning: first, before, principal, most important.
Word Origin: Derived from the Greek root πρῶτος, which is a superlative form of πρό (pro), meaning "before" or "in front of."
as we can see both of these word usages for 'first' are implying the same intended meaning with both Isiah 44:6 and Revelation 2:8
The bottom line is you have two true Lords in your theology when the bible is clear there is only one true Lord.
And that is what you have as an error, and big error at that.
The knowledge of the truth is only given to the chosen who have received the YHWH in them, these know that YHWH is Jesus Christ and there is only ONE TRUE LORD.
No matter how much knowledge man may think they can learn by reading scripture, Men will never understand the true meaning of what is written because man needs the HS first and in order to have the HS man must be chosen by God the Father.
      1 Corinthians 2:13
This is what we speak, not in words taught us by human wisdom but in words taught by the Spirit, explaining spiritual realities with Spirit-taught words.
Once you are born again then you will understand that there is only ONE TRUE LORD, but until then, you will only understand a heathen concept of having more than one Lord God.
