I kno a thing or 2 about Kawasaki's(hence my name). The busa of that year was about 5 more horsepower, you can check UA-cam videos or Google. I've had the argument 2 many times wit 2 many busa fanboys, they usually laid down 160 on the dyno, the 04-05 Kawasaki was like 155 on the dyno. 5 horsepower wasn't nuttin 2 overcome wit the right bolt ons. The next year's(06-07) were not as light(12 pounds) but the motor was up a few horsepower. The motor in the 18's are great, they will give u like 190-193 wit electronic unlocking & full exhaust, without cracking the motor open. I paid GOOD money 2 reach that level. Busa's are WAY overrated (sorry busa fanboys). A off the showroom floor bmw will outperform a off the showroom busa wit no problems.
Busa. The standard of all out modified...Top top rippin. Busa, since 1999, the maxed out? Ripper. Look up baddest "Pro Street" m/cycle...or turbo. They leave em plain jane. Y? Largest shop/build base of any Top performer! And y change a winner. Harley, Bonneville, also retain the final in design. Hats off to Mr... Suzuki. Richard J... Busaman

Unless you start putting in superchargers or turbos or nitrous that's when you're going to get a Busa that's going to beat the GSXR in the quarter mile. Other than that the 1000 are faster in the quarter mile. The guy in the busa almost ate s*** and he did a burn out for nothing. Lol. Good Rider on the 1000. Awesome launch..
