Marcus taught a great lesson, no matter how high on the ladder you are you can’t treat employees wrong when you are trying to get out of a bad situation.
To be fair, $400,000 wouldn't get him much of a burger restaurant by itself (unless it was a small place). Plus, the nature of this show is to invest in other businesses and make a profit from them.
@@terrancethomas9792 Oh, no. At least this Joe guy has close to a full brain. That Fuel Foods guy with the flat face had absolutely no self discipline, was a complete sexist, wasted money on a huge vehicle while not having adequate equipment in his kitchen, and most importantly, hooked up with an investor who was being investigated by the US Federal government for money laundering and running a Ponzi scheme. Marcus then said he would not be investing. The Fuel Foods guy didn't seem to understand how that could endanger and shut down his business.
Steroid Dude needs to quit that stuff and focus on the business. Not dating every woman who crosses his path and please stop the juicing. Your not the brightest 🥴
Newsflash, just because it is the highest selling item, doesn't make it a good thing. Food service is all about margins, making enough money above the cost of raw goods to pay for everything else (labor, utilities, etc).
well he lost his job as the manager ... just because you are a partner doesn't mean you don't make a salary for working 40+ hours a week there. I hope she got her job back though.
You cannot profitably build from the ground up a successful restaurant in the NYC metro area. Even now, with rents headed south, the economics are impossible. With rents so high, labor and equipment, etc., you'd have to charge $10 for a Whopper, just as they do in Hawaii.
Every little burger shack is not a candidate for a franchise--and Marcus has the mojo to start his own franchise, so why doesn't he? It's a lot harder than it looks.
Anyone else just think this place had an awful name? There’s no real ring or flavor to it and when I hear standard, I just think average. If anything, they should have focused on the hot dog business, doing the giant dogs they added. We have a million burger places, but nobody is really doing higher end hot dogs.

Marcus invested $400,000. Couldn't he have used that money to start his own burger restaurant?
Yes, but then there wouldn't be any drama.
@@ElliottChenoweth Exactly!!
nah
That would cost 1 million$ more. Also he would have to look for employees who can cook good food

He is the biggest problem there. Too much anger problem and doesn't respect others.
This is like The Profit meets Jersey Shore.
5:31 The way he lifts that chair trying to be a tough guy. I have worked in the past with people who act like that. That's not good.
For me - never invest or join a company run by bullies
yeah but this is a show, that's where the drama is lol
They're on their way to closure in 2018. How he didn't see that coming is baffling.

I really like that for Marcus is a deathly sin to mistreat employees
Best episode 🙏♥️
I agree!
Typical - the dude in authority doesn't suffer any real consequences while the young lady loses her job.

Marcus was class to have a tie and invite him to a restaurant with wine glasses on the table and fire him

That guy is going to f up the business with his jersey shore mentality.
The boss can't just fire her after working for 3 years and after they stopped dating fire her.
