Oh, you guys are such heroes! They can be real stinkers! That shows you and the team are part of the flock/s! Lovely! It's just so lovely what all of you do! ... and so heartfelt!
Ohhhh..... that's a lot of heartbreak in one week 😟 i've had some swan heartbreak down here too with my local swans with the dominant male taking umbridge with a new, young arrival. Unfortunately I found her the next day but she hadn't made it. Then he tried to do the same with another swan the next day. This time i witnessed the attack and somehow managed to distract him and she managed to get away. A reminder that although they are very beautiful, they will do anything to protect their territory. Quite traumatic to witness. Fortunately they are all still present and accounted for today. Bless you for what you all do..... it's not for the faint-hearted.
Sorry to hear that, yes it’s awful to see these things. We are lucky to be able to move them to safety when they are attacked, but still can’t save them all sadly.
A couple days ago I went to feed some rock pigeons/doves and there was a pigeon with thread around its foot, I tried to grab it but it wouldn’t let me so I gave it seeds instead

They’re really difficult to catch, I was amazed that I caught this one but the poor thing was in agony.
