The thing I love about The Finals is that it removes all the bs like looting, reviving, healing, hating the person who stole your main, huge maps and squishes everything into a beautiful insanely fun destructible package❤❤❤
Great video, i like the energy and positivity, fuck being a UA-cam sell out and only posting the negative reviews for clicks not actual facts or community perception, which I see a lot of these days. Anyway keep this positivity up and you’re going somewhere.
Thank you so much! I didn't really realize how many people are claiming the game is dying until after I posted the video. From what I can tell, most of people's points are things the developers are working on fixes for. Like nukes, player communication, and certain classes being anti-fun or whatever. Once those are 'fixed' I imagine player count will stabilize. Cause really the only major threat to the game is silence from developers, but we've been getting a lot of noise from them so far thankfully.@@tact1calshot989
@@gallantryharder nah they don’t have valid points at all, it’s called complaint meta, it’s something with algorithms and what UA-cam chooses to promote, negativity sells views. the game is hella fun, they plan on marketing second season, I would consider season 1 as extension of beta, I mean people seriously couldn’t put this game down during beta, unfortunately we finnished season 1 content pretty fast and only thing left to grind is ranked and that comp scene is a much smaller number, that’s the player count you see today mainly comp and die hard casuals, season two player base is gonna go back to release numbers because content is to be had, after we had finnished the content for season 1 other great games dropped, that’s why I seen numbers fall off you could have predicted this and from what I herd embark did see that happened and planed for it accordingly that was another reason they waited for marketing, they have 17 billion backing them for next season, and I can’t wait . Embarknis in it for the long haul and so am I, unfortunately there are some people making content squeing numbers and saying it’s because of this or that and it was just cause we finnished season 1 content, and maxed player level had all guns and gargets, and cool games droped right at the end, nothing more, nothing less. Don’t mean we hate the finals we got burnt out gotta take a lil break and slap back at it harder than before when we get back all fresh and dandy taking walls down
I love THE FINALS. i keep on seeing how everyone says they cant stop playing the game, having fun, etc. But the player count and viewerships are not showing that. I REALLY want this game to succeed, i really do. Im praying that Season 2 of THE FINALS makes the playercount go high because its been a long time i felt joy while playing online FPS games.
I'm right there with you. Personally, I dont think the player count is really going to effect my experience other than queue times. If they have enough players to keep the lights on, I'm playing.
BRINK back in like 2012 had cosmetic customization and the heavy/medium/light system with parkour and similar maps, but died instantly on launch because the servers could never handle the load at any point. Nexon bought the rights to that game and used it's sourcecode to create Dirty Bomb in like 2015 or so iirc. That game had the parkour from Brink but the weight classes and customization were replaced with hero-shooter characters. That game died too. The Finals feels like the game me and my teenage bros were hyped for a decade ago. It's clear some of the devs from BRINK landed here, right next to the innovators from newer battlefield games, and they just got cookin. It feels like the new TF2, the new APEX, the new Siege, all wrapped into one. As long as they keep content flowing this thing prints money without selling an edge, and provides that feeling of winning in apex with half the frustration on a loss.
I love the points brought up in this. I want this game to do well, but it seems like a lack of marketing and imagining of gamemodes seems to be very much at fault. You opened my eyes a lil more though, there's a chance that the overall shooter community just doesn't know what this game is. And I guess that should be obvious, as a light only player that hardly plays, it felt weird to me that intel was moved from medium to light entirely. But I guess that shows how much this game is truly trying at once. It's impossible to explain to new players as you said, which is my new perspective. Maybe it's too big of an issue if we can't even explain the game... The most simplistic yet unique characteristic I tend to describe is it's high time to kill, really favoring tracking more than other games. But there's so much more, and that description means nothing except to hardcore aim trainer players.
I hope they start playin man. If not, I just saw a video by @PEEPSWasTaken that was coincidentally released the same day as this one. he touches on some more topics than I do, check it out if you have time
This the only game we’re I actually don’t mind spending 20 dollars compared to the rage inducing cod/apex were I just regret putting time and money and get nothing except a punch in the gut
For me the rock paper scissors elements and instant deaths make it too frustrating for me. And suspect there are a lot of cheaters and also playing solo with randoms is bit painful. Bought the battle pass and really enjoyed it in the start but idk don't enjoy it anymore :(
The thing I love about The Finals is that it removes all the bs like looting, reviving, healing, hating the person who stole your main, huge maps and squishes everything into a beautiful insanely fun destructible package❤❤❤
Thats a really great point actually. Most of the shooters now adays dont guarantee you're gonna be able to play your playstyle. battle royales are about making do with what you find on the ground, valorant and csgo have the economy forcing you off of certain guns, and other character based games like overwatch make it a race to pick your character. In those games, the game is forcing you to experiment with what you have. But in The finals, the game is so interesting that you want to experiment, they dont need to force you to do anything.
@@gallantryharder Exactly, freedom of choice makes The Finals so refreshing! It’s completely ruined me for Apex and I couldn’t be happier😂 Hope you make more content, this vid was really enjoyable!
stunning? lol speaking like a virgin after the 1st root, never compare apex movement to the finals lol and you slow play with a light . give it another 300 games.nice upload though
Oh is that why it's bleeding players and the ranked mode is a joke? The rest of the shooter market sucking doesn't make this game good. They've built in so many problem features that'll cause them balance issues for years. If it even lasts that long. Casual fun is about all it offers. It can only do that a few games a week, maybe. So much useless equipment playing for fun is near impossible the second you get sweaty losers playing like a ranked match in pubs. Plus the cheater problem they still haven't really solved. I highly doubt season 2 will fix much. Battlepasses aren't content and the core game is suffering.
I'm sorry you aren't having fun with the game man. I believe this is a growing period for the game though. The dev's are working tirelessly trying to fix issues with the game. After that, I'm sure the casual audience will get some game modes. I know I had a lot of fun with solo bank it, and that didn't even change up the game much.
Good design? plain character design, boring random maps, ripped off best mechanics from other shooters, questionable gunplay, not mentioning balance. As a game designer, for me it is an extremely boring "ununique" game using simulation lore to implement easy to make gmod-like interactions. edit: compare item design in TF2 and the finals, funny
Could you give me some examples? Other than ripping off the best mechanics because they did do that and the game feels so good because they learned from other games.
@@gallantryharder 1. Lazy pickup, revive, movement animations (just a holding hand or no real animation at all, reminding me of Garrys Mod custom maps made with as little artistic effort as possible) compared to competition examples: Apex, R6 2. Lazy and boring items: Skills are just cards with icons, grenades are just different shaped grenades with icons too Also weapons are just default Sword, Dagger or letters with numbers, no weapon mods compared to original weapons from Apex, TF2 loadout, Overwatch, and even R6 with its accurate weaponry mixed with scifi and customization. 3. Characters: 3 default looking humans with limited personalization options, everyone with the same "sports" clothes and shoes, so just basic everyday people running with guns, again look at other shooters. 4. Maps: Based on irl cities with added ziplines and other game elements, for me personally its not the most uninteresting thing because a concept of fighting inside real cities in a controlled universe seems nice on a first glance for me. 5. Gamefeel and gamemodes, can't really criticize that because I think it depends on everyones preferences, for me running back and forth with more teams than 2 on a small map constantly getting 3rd partied is just not fun, but others may like chaos, gamefeel reminds me too much of CoD so as a hardcore Apex veteran with hundreds of hours sinked in R6 and Overwatch I just don't enjoy it because CoD is like in opposition to those games.
gotcha, you are more focused on art style with your critique. I completely agree, the game is very basic looking. When playing on launch I described the game to friends as COD but good. When talking about games its similar to, I left out CoD because I just cant stand playing it to even go get 1 clip with it. And I cant really explain why the finals is better than CoD for me. I think its just learnt from other games and made the formula a lot more engaging for me personally. Also, as a 3d animator, I completely agree with the animations lacking. barely any squash and stretch, looks way too basic. I understand and respect why you dislike this game. @@bloqver3722
