i have a 3 bay at work for 2 Avid S1s and a Avid Dock as well as a 2 bay for a Dock / S1 combo at home... mixends absolutely nailed the build and ergo on these.
I really like the look of these and think a 2x version would be great for my Fader and Console 1 MK3. Pricey at $600 for the double unit but then again, Made-In-America with real hardwood means it's not just a throwaway piece of furniture. Definitely going to check them out, thanks!
You will pay a premium. But I can verify that the construction is a notch above anything else I’ve seen in the high end market. Plus, the company owner was kind enough to talk me through all the options. So there is definitely a personal touch.
@@ToddUrban This is good to hear. As an artist I can really appreciate that. Aside from that, it's nice to live in a world where people like him come up with and build these things. It's a golden age for sure.
Happy to help, but a bit odd for a post on this video about a stand. 😆 What are you looking to accomplish? What mics do you already own? What type of music do you work with? I’m happy to make a suggestion based on my experience, but obviously there are going to be several options.
@ Hi Todd thought this would be the best way lol. 😂 I own a Rode NT-1 with a Focusrite Interface. I record pop and hip hop artists. I am looking for the next mic that could really give me a silky smooth texture and really capture high end in the tracking.
@prodbyzenx I’m not a huge NT-1 fan. I’d ask yourself if you already have an RE-20 or SM7. I have videos on them that might help. They are dynamic, but offer a character that is completely different from the Rode. Also, I’m a big fan of sE mics. Very good quality for half the price. Make sure to give them a listen. If you can find something like a Soyuz with a transformer, that would also give you a different sound from the rode. Hope that helps with a little direction. ;)
Danish Oil is a blend of penetrating oil and varnish. It penetrates deep into wood to protect and enhance it. As you apply more coats it gets even more glossy and durable finish

Nice! Thanks for the comment. It’s difficult to tell from pics, but everything is made with great attention to detail.

Hey Todd, quick question for you! What would you say would be the best condenser mic and preamp under $500 to get?

@Mixends thanks for clarifying! 😃
@@Mixends Awesome thanks!
