Watching this a bit later than the release. I cannot find my answer anywhere else so I will ask there. Do you know, if (While the plugin is bypassed) it is possible to use the Studio One marvelous way of linking plugin parameter to a controller (With the focus midi controller mode) as well as keeping the track control parameter ?
@@cefahprod Hi, thanks for your interest! If I’m following your question correctly, the answer is yes. You should be able to map the controls on the Console 1 to any number of parameters in Studio One (in Focus mode), and this should not affect the way Console 1 interacts with the Softube plug-in. Hope this helps a bit - feel free to contact me directly with any further questions, and thanks again! Caleb Lowrey, Sweetwater Sales Engineer, (800) 222-4700 ext. 1620, caleb_lowrey@sweetwater.com
I purchased a presonus faderport 8 two years ago, and that, alone, has already improved my workflow so much. There is just something about taking software out of the computer and letting you touch it in an intuitive way that makes working so much more fluid and pleasing. I’m sorely tempted by this. Time to start saving…
I got a Faderport 16 around the same time... I think I will be adding this next to it, as i am big on doing multiple fader rides for automation. The Console one is going to make me love mixing even more with how it captures everything else.
I currently have Faderport 16 and Console 1 MK2 ... its perfect for channel control with console and having faders and transport controls with my faderport... its a good combo at least for Studio One ... Console 1 now integrated with UA Luna works great... would be a dream if Softube had came out with fader unit with 20 faders to match the bank feature.
I am sure this thing will be a huge workflow improvement for people still using a mouse and keyboard, same with the new SSL controllers.. but I am already invested into the Avid Dock and S3 which many consider old and dated nowadays but the Eucon SW allows me to upgrade and change workflows if need be so I have everything I need with those hardware controller units until ..well I die to be frank about it….
Thanks for the great overview! I ordered one from you guys the other day and I am eagerly awaiting its arrival. It will be nice not having to rely on a mouse for everything. I am looking forward to the Softube MKiii fader as well... Cheers, Greg
Hello, es__music! Yes, that is how it would work. That said, the goal of Console 1 is to get you mixing without your mouse. So the ideal workflow would be to select your track directly from Console 1 and keep working from there! Give us a shout and we can discuss in more depth! Thanks for the interest! Hey, axemanfishing2703! Thanks for your interest. The console has USB-C ports, but in the box they include two USB-C to USB-C cables and one USB-C to USB-A cable, so you can connect to USB-C or USB-A ports on your computer. I hope this helps! Great question and thanks for your interest! At least from what I can find in the manual, there is no way to edit sleep mode in this scenario. Here’s a link to the full manual if you’re curious: www.softube.com/user-manuals/console-1-channel-mk-iii I hope this helps! Feel free to reach out if you have any other questions. Hey, Willie! Thanks for your interest. It probably depends on what you have in mind when you say compatible, since they are both control surfaces they are really just meant to interact with the DAW/software. Feel free to reach out to myself or your sales engineer here and we can help you get things figured out! Connor Smith, Sweetwater Sales Engineer, (800) 222-4700 ext. 1793, connor_smith@sweetwater.com

Lack of talent
When Mitch is talking with his hands, you know it’s going to be a good review.
This + Reaper = Never leaving my house!

How does this review have less than 300 thumbs up? Mitch did an excellent review. And also… what an amazing console!
Fantastic! Can't wait to get the updated version!

If you select a track in my daw, would it automatically be selected on the hardware?

What is it that makes the water sweet? Can it be also not sweet water? I like my water a bit salty
Is this USB C to USB A type connector, or C to C?

Hi Mitch any idea when the new console fader is coming?
In October of this year
Hi Mitch the console mk3 goes into sleep mode after a few minutes. Can I set that or turn it off? It does not happen when I use my daw.

I got to have it
So my stock and third party plugins are useless ?
Ordered this from Sweetwater today..
I like this nice👍
Is it compatible with ssl uf8?

Nice, looks great and professional quality, but as long I can't use other brand plugins with this, I have no use for it.
You can though. You just put the other plugin on the channel.
you can use many uad plugins with it!
nice
nice piece of hardware but should be mentioned, that the console 1 software and integration is kind of useless in combination with protools.
Sensacional
First 🎉🎉
It's a Controller for their Software and works with other stuff but at $899 Its Way Overpriced.
gee they finally put some scribble strips in their stupidly overpriced box.
why the round buttons?? it sucks. cool this conmtroller woudl be with swaure buttons. too bad no one at softube thought of that
