While everyone does not have access to this, 40+ years ago, this was the specific surface these cars were engineered or designed to run on: soft sand at the local beach. Notice how the suspension here is perfect and happy; it looks realistic like an early 80's SoCal dune buggy, but if you take it out onto asphalt or grass, it bounces around like a toy-grade POS. These cars were never meant to be competition-oriented; they're small electric novelties that you take to the beach with realism in mind.
You could be having a country music kind of day when your wife left, your dog died and someone stole your truck.. But grabbing your grasshopper and throwing rooster tails, can make your day perfect pretty quick. 😂
Wow total nostalgia! The Grasshopper, the Hornet, the Frog, the Lunch Box etc… All iconic RC’s of my youth. Such great memories. Thank you for this! 💯👍🏻subbed

Liking your toy is the motor upgraded?
Thanks! Yes, I swapped out the 380 for a stock 540 motor.
How long did it take you to get the sand out of it? I just got a grasshopper.
If it’s dry sand, just a few minutes.👌😊
