      It does help, but instead of taking the clothes out of my closet I use an AI app with an embedded calendar to plan out all my outfits weeks in advance. It helps me sooo much, my dad's old habits, but with new technology

    The conditioning to wake up super early is SO true. My mom used to make me start 2 weeks before school started. • @SayuriTsukine
      @SayuriTsukine Рік тому +53

      Back in the day (as in early 2000s) you would be walking. Nowadays, if someone sees a minor walking by themselves, they'll call the police and CPS, which is why your parents don't have a choice but to drive you. When I was in HS, if I missed the bus, I was walking to/from school the entire 2.5 miles. Uber didn't exist. All the adults with cars were at work. The public transit would have taken the same amount of time as walking. Kids today got it good compared to us lol.

      The school I went to from 8th-11th grade would've just called my gma to make sure I wasn't sick & then volunteered to come get me. I would be pissed as hell like "Damn, I know for a FACT I'm not the only kid in this school. They act like they can't function without me for 5mins... Geesh" 🤦🏽‍♀️🤣🤣🤣

    • @DarthFurie
      @DarthFurie Рік тому +6

      @flabbergasted05 it depends on where you live and a lot of other factors, but you CAN call the police if you see an unattended minor in what looks like an unsafe situation, especially something like walking on the side of the road where anyone can grab them

    I always love your videos, Jay. Realness! You made me remember how I used to have to wake at 6AM when I was in high school, momma would just come in my room and flip on the lights and yell "get up!!!" So glad I'm an adult now, working remotely, able to stay up all night gaming whenever I damn well please :)

    I love this! I just had a similar conversation with my moody 16-year-old son today! School has already started and I'm still reminding him when it's bed time because he always tries to stay up later. He also needed a reminder - if he continued being rude and sassy, he could walk to the bus stop instead of me driving him to school.
