My childhood is influenced by IR. My teenage was the reign of arr. BUT having listened to both of their songs, I SHOULD SAY that IR tunes & songs & BGMs & preludes & interludes got into me WITHOUT ANY effort to learn or any intention to get it by-heart. IR's music has made me feel happy or cry (tears of joy or tears of agony) and gave me goosebumps (although his predecessors like MSV, KVM, SDB's songs have also done the same, but their magic stops with the songs alone). IR ALSO stirs you and rips you apart with his song interludes, preludes and BGM scores). Although ARR's 90s songs made an impact, nowadays I ALWAYS resort to IR music and no one else's music has had such a HUGE IMPACT in my life.

I'm a huge fan of ARR but IR music is magical.and coming to your Oscar thing - that's for the music in western world like here in US. If Oscar is the measure of a musician- then god bless your ignorance .since you are obsessed with Oscar let me tell you IR music and BGM is worth many Oscars. This is what I expected but they could have done even better as there is more content to discuss.
Mohamed Safwan- clearly people who have listened to IR can only laugh at your ignorance. Secondly - have some basic respect when you comment something on a public forum. Third-IR is 15 years before ARR,meaning he didn't have access to all the digital sound engineering which ARR generation had . Anyone can get a crystal clear output of sound using the modern day technology even you and me but unless you know the music in and out you can't get the soul. These modern day Anirudh 's , Harris, and others music sound can be pleasant to your ears in Bose haeadphone I don't deny that, but IR music will have soul in it .I was also ignorant like you thinking ARR is way ahead but realised as I aged that IR music will stay for generations to come but not so sure about these modern day digitally clear songs after 100 years. I agree IR can conduct himself better in public but who am I to judge a genius sent by god ? Arrogance and head strong are many times a part of a super human being ,take Steve Jobs for example .
