In 2022 I found a 2003 882 with 252 miles on it. Between the big construction job at work where we lost 200 parking spaces, and the price of gas pegging $4 per gallon in Maryland, I could not say no. The only previous mod to the bike was adding forward controls. I like being able to easily stand up on the pegs as I used to ride in the dirt, so I guess my style of riding might prefer that. Other than that, it's a stock bike. Found your page surfing for mods. Zozzer, you have a nice style of describing your kit.
Just inherited an 03 Sportster 1200 anniversary edition. My Step Brother bought it new. Kept it bone atock and parked it in his living room for 20 years. 23k miles so he rode it. I rode om my teens and 20's. Im 57 and starting to ride again. Im a big dude. It's small for me but a great bike to reenter riding again. Loving it. I'm finding most aftermarket stuff is 04 and up though. He has a quick release HD windshield and the original seat is in a box. Never used apparently. It looks brand new. Guessing he bought the seat thats on it day 1 and saved rhe original seat to preserve it. Beautiful bike you got!
If you get decell pop, check for intake manifold leaks. I use a few pounds of compressed air rigged into the manifold, and a spray bottle of soapy water, then watch for bubbles.
Fuck yeah man. I just wanna say thank you. For not making your bike a freaking replica of every dudes bike right after they traded in their gixxer 😂 your bike is one of a kind to your liking. 🤘
Happy to see you did front suspension! Thats a badass set up. stock front suspension on them are pretty trash im sure it makes a huge difference. Id like to run a similar setup i plan on going +2 as well. Also want to pick up a fork brace!
Hey man, awesome video. Could you let me know what brand the mini floorboards are? I wanna pick some up for my roadster 1200 that i am making clubstyle
They're just cheapies from Amazon sold by a bunch of different people. There's 2 main types on there, mine have the spikes and the other has straight circular pegs instead.
@@ZozzerRidez nice thanks for the info I got a rubber one now and it just marks the hell out of my boot been looking for something better guna order mine today

Yea 04+ is definitely more popular, swap meets and Facebook marketplace can be a good spot to find parts on the cheap for 86-03 👍

2003 883 is a great bike. My opinion, to date: best around town/bar hopper ever made.

We'll see if you feel the same about my low rider 😂

Oh yea much nicer with that little lift and much stiffer quality springs 👌 the tall makes it super fun on canyon/mountain roads!
Love the bike! Just getting started on my 03 883….
Enjoy! There's lots out there to do
Bad ass bike man.
Very nice!!
What bracket did you use for the headlight to get it flush with the fairing

They advertise the shifter doesn’t mark up your shoes is that true?
It won't leave a colored mark like rubber pegs, but it will still wear on your shoe as it's still continued rubbing on a single spot.
