  • Hey guys this week I made a double sided sensory board (AKA a busy board). This project was a commissioned piece from a friend. I made this sensory (busy) board, to fit into a little nook in her sons room. On the one side of the sensory board I attached a piece of metal to make a magnetic side to play with some foam letters. Then on the other side I put a whole bunch of activities. There are 4 small doors with different latched and animals behind each door, that can change. Then there are all different kinds of shape color and switch activities.

    Ok, this is brilliant! I love that you put in the animal cards to mix it up. Your friend can make lots of other cool cards to add interest. Cards with simple songs, or finger plays, cards with items with the same color on them for a matching game, or even letters, numbers, and words as her toddler grows up. Such a great idea.

    Hello Mailey, almost same pinch, I am also not a kid, I "do" have kids, and I act like a kid too😀. I wish I was Elias.!! Such an awesome sensory board 👌. If I were you, I would've signed it "Made by Mailey" too😀, you know, my kids draw something and "used to" show it to me, and I would immediately put my signature at the bottom, and they hated it to the core😛. Now they show it to me only from a distance🤣.!
    You've got a lot of professional tools, where did you learn to use it all🤔.
    Though it looks very simple, I would take ages to make something perfect like this.!! Great work 👏 .

      Aww thank you I'm glad you liked it! And I definitely should sign it. I haven't shipped it yet so there is still time. And I understand your kids signing there art work, how could you? haha and I learned to use all my tool from working in set shops. Since I was in high school I have been heavily involve with theatre. I used to build the sets for my high school and soon after for college. We were force to do a number of hours in the set shop in college. That when I learned how to build things and sew and well just do everything I do. I'm glad you like the sensory board and you could definitely make this is was easy but time consuming! :)

      Oh thank you! You definitely should try it out I sweat it was very easy. You can also by pre cut ply wood and make just a board instead of the box. Might be a slightly easier project! 🥰🥰🥰

    I like it. What size is the purple rectangle and what paint do you use to paint them?

      @MaileyElaine  2 роки тому

      Oh Thank you! and I used just some cheap acrylic paint I got at Michaels and then the posca paint markers. For wood rectangles were 5 inches long and 4 inches wide then the small piece was 1 inch by 4 inches.
