Please make more videos like this! I'm not even in college, but these recipes help me save money month to month! I pre-ordered the cookbook! Can't wait!
KWOOWK you are so underrated mann, you deserve so much more views for these high quality and entertaining videos, keep it up!!! I especially wanna try the soup and the salad u made me hungry so late in the night...
This is a pretty nice channel, i am happy to see it grow, i remember finding it a few months ago through shorts, your shorts were basically my favourites, algorithm never recommended you for some time but am happy to discover this amazing channel again, u grew a lot, am proud!
I love these easy meal videos! I’m not great at cooking, and I am learning a lot through them, both in terms of brainstorming meals and being healthier. And I will def be preordering your cookbook when I get my next paycheck!
I used to take a sweet potato topped with black beans and salsa to lunch everyday. I would use my insta pot to make a large batch of sweet potatoes on the weekend. I love the idea of turning it into hash, looks delicious!!!
Love these videos KWOOWK! Cant get enough of these compilation-recipe styled videos! Really fun to watch and even if i dont like the exact recipe, provides a ton of home cooking inspiration. You’ve made a great brand!😄
I’m making the soup right now, I found a bunch of videos like this before grocery shopping, and not only did I spend a lot less than normal, my kitchen smells awesome. Thank you - a broke college student
Cheap and healthy meals to get me through retirement! Lol! I’ve binge watched a bunch of your videos in the last 24 hours and today I am making the lentil soup as soon as I finish watching the video again! Awesome channel! Awesome recipes. Which proves that more inexpensive or cheaper meals does not mean they’re not healthy or taste good! I like to cook and I cook from scratch because I like good food! So far, I have about six or so recipes on my list that I will be making! Keep up the good work!
Love fried rice. Great way to use up leftovers or anything you need to use up. Also great way to use frozen vegetables in it. Breakfast hash is fantastic. I love switching up the ingredients and sometime crumble in part of a block if firm tofu.
Poached eggs are NOT a pain. They're easy AND fast. In a nonstick skillet, bring an inch or so of water to a boil. Add 1 T. of vinegar. Carefully break an egg into the water. Turn of the heat, cover, and set a timer for 3 minutes. Your egg is done! Personally, I like mine at 3 minutes, 15 seconds.
This was really great! You’re the youtuber that’s put my algorithm down the cooking content path, which obviously is cool content, but coming back to this video I was . Much more useful and genuine. Next week I’ll move to a new apartment, the first time I’ll live alone, and this has motivated me, given me fresh ideas (not just 3-4 basic emergency meals my parents use to come up with) - please continue!!
What I ate my first year of university nearly every day: A frozen package with vegetable and garlic butter from ALDI plus white rice. All cooked of course. I was at my ideal weight at the time.
What an interesting way to make recipes! I tried the Lo Mein variation with a little bit of your fried rice recipe without the msg & cauliflower. Most Chinese people don’t use MSG unless it’s a Chinese restaurant recipe when we make Chinese food. You can use a little bit of oyster sauce (the non organic kind has MSG & organic Oyster sauce doesn’t have MSG) in Asian dishes & a use a spoonful of sesame oil to make fried rice, Lo Mein or other Asian recipes taste more savory. Thanks for all the amazing recipes you post! 😊❤️🙏🏻
For the fried rice and the soup, if you don't want to spend time chopping, you can get a back of frozen mixed vegetables and use that instead. Not as cheap as fresh veggies, but still *relatively* cheap, and saves a lot of time. (And they're just as nutritious as fresh!)
You should make the Navajo breakfast. You need one tortilla, scrambled eggs, bacon, and cut fry potatoes: put the bacon into the eggs and potatoes, then, put the mixed eggs, potatoes, and bacon into the tortilla and roll it up, all so you have the Navajo breakfast burrito.tip if you want you can add mutton.🙂
Oh boy, I wish the meals I make were that appetizing and delicious. Here, studying in Latvia and working a part-time job, the best I can cook without going broke is boiled potatoes and fried eggs.
I was recently introduced to the idea of cutting a freshly boiled potato into slices, spreading some butter and sprinkling some salt on top. It's no effort with massive enjoyment.
Try bulgur wheat in you salads, we like to use medium grain sized for salads but fine grain works to. Coarse or extra coarse Bulgur works well to replace rice and pasta as well. See if you can find the Turkish chilli and tomato concentrate paste mild or hot, we discovered it while making various Turkish bulgur recipes and we now use the mild version instead of just tomato concentrate for most recipes. Bulk bulgur, rice, beans and lentals have become our goto for cheap eats, buying in bulk 20kg sacks saves you alot [and is a nice food reserve], yes it can take some planning or use of a pressure cooker but with the use of in season vegetables from the farmers market we eat cheaper and more healthy.
You should really try mexican lentil soup it looks similar to the one you made but with a little more spice. My mom taught me how to make it and I have added and taken items of the recipe to match my preferred taste. Really cheap and healthy
These recipes look fantastic! I'm trying to find the healthy 50 cent meal but it just ain't gonna happen. These meals are still affordable and I look forward to trying them all. Thank you so much for sharing. 💜
You MUST try Indonesian food named Rawon. Rawon is from East Java and it's like black beef soup, there's some ingredient that will make you really hard to get called "Kluwek" (Pangium Edule). But if you can make this food you will get heavenly taste. And you must eat this Rawon with rice, bean sprouts, salted duck egg, Tempe, and shrimp crackers
Great meals! First dishes I will try this week as never have time (working and studying and other activities). I make almost same lentil soup just using red lentils (greens I use for warm salad).
Breakfast is the most important meal for me because in my line of work I don't really get a chance to eat a good lunch lmao. So I always fill up with breakfast
Have you ever made bagna cauda? This is essentially a garlicky cream reduction sauce and is served with a hunk of bread and raw vegetables. It was a special occasion treat in the midwestern town (US) where I used to reside that had a large Italian American population (my Italian great grandparents were from the Cuneo region of the Piedmont range, but many people had central and southern Italian heritage). While there are variations, the basic (and best) recipe is: one stick butter (not margarine), one pint heavy whipping cream (although, I have used a pint of half & half at times), 3-4 garlic minced cloves (fresh and never from a jar), 3-4 anchovy fillets (a tablespoon of anchovy can suffice; also-don’t worry if you don’t like fish as the garlic is the main flavor), plus a hunk or roll of bakery bread (like baguette or ciabatta) and raw carrot sticks, broccoli, cauliflower, and celery. First: sauté the garlic in the butter until golden, being careful to not let it brown (it starts getting bitter when brown), then adding the heavy cream and anchovy fillets and, stirring occasionally, simmer over low heat until thick/reduced by a fourth. Ladle into bowls and serve with the bread and veggies. The sauce is very rich (and very garlicky), but the raw, fresh veggies undercut the heaviness and bread is just delicious with it. If you haven’t already had this and do try it, I hope you like it (Ps-I’ve seen recipes that call for truffle or olive oil. No-don’t use them)
Please make more videos like this! I'm not even in college, but these recipes help me save money month to month! I pre-ordered the cookbook! Can't wait!

@@HenryIVth Oh, this is just classic stuff 😂
@@balkanforever1 Imagine my shock, going through life, only putting salt on top of a boiled potato, then someone says spread butter on it.
As someone who doesn't cook breakfast I tried your sweet potato hash for lunch. So yummy, so satiating, so easy! Will definitely make that again!
The cook book was your best idea. As a MMA fighter who hates cutting weight this is gonna make nutrition alot easier
