It’s an honor and privilege to watch this episode today🤩. The amount of hard work and dedication to complete this task at the time is truly inspiring and will never be forgotten❤. The life of inspiration of jd vertrees lives on with this walk through Wednesday👌🏻. Thank you Mr.Maple for sharing with us all👌🏻#japanesemaples❤️🍁🔥!
What a special place. Just cannot believe the sizes of some these Japanese maples. It reminds one to give them room between each other. I will be watching this video multiple times. Thank you for sharing this special place with us today.
Beautiful garden and seeing the mature trees is amazing. This is such a treasure of a maple collection. I enjoyed the soundtrack too! Thank you for sharing this.
@@urchinsushi2041 we actually just had it in stock last week. We will again but they are popular. You can get notified by email under the Esk sunset page on MrMaple.com
@@MrMapleShow yes I noticed it was restocked because I did get notified but I’m actually in Japan right now on holiday for a couple of weeks with my family so I’m 12 hrs ahead and missed it!! 🥲 It’s been REALLY hot here (feels like temperature above 100s), so not very good for visiting gardens or the monkey forest unfortunately. Luckily my husband can speak a fair bit of Japanese though and we are still having a great time - I’ll sign up to get notified again!!
When y'all say snake bark,,,is it Davidii or rufinerve???? looks like rufinerve ,,,, which struggles for me here in GA...I don't think it likes our heat . I've killed 2 ....m
Amazing tour! Do you know what the tree is that starts showing at about the 14:04 mark? It kinda looks dark red and white in the video. I took screen shots but can’t post here, so might try FB if we can’t figure it out here. Thanks!
They are all so well pruned. Not my style at all. Part of the charm of these trees is the structure of the wood. (As in bonsai) and I tend to choose them not just for their leaves, buy their trunks as well. What a wonderful place!
I agree. One of the rules of this garden when I was purchased was to keep the trees. Many have been cut back to keep them in this garden. We discuss it at the top of the video
That garden is just unreal. I can't get enough of this type of content!

Absolutely love love you two. Listened to I believe all your shows! J.D. Vertrees book I’ve had since 90s. Did you say Oregon?
Awesome thanks for watching!
Thanks for the great tour! I wonder if they'll let you take another one at the peak time in autumn.
The house sold and it requires us flying out film crew to Oregon. Not likely but maybe one day
Jawdroppingly beautiful tour!! My favorite was Esk Sunset - would love to know Matt and Tim’s favorites in Mr. Vertrees garden 🙏
Good choice!

What an amazing place! Do you know roughly how many acres of land this garden is?
I would say it was 1 to 2 acres of land!

@@MrMapleShow Thank You! Now it makes sense why this one sells out so fast! Adding my name to the notify list… ✌️
Aratama is in my notebook, for future orders.
It is one of my favorite dwarfs now!

Acer palmatum ‘Aratama’

Anyone know what the tree with the white flowers with purplish red ring is at 34:19
Rhododendron
