I read the 2022 consultation document WPATH issued, that's the one that contains the section on Ethics, which was then removed from the final document - the bibliography of suspect research was large indeed, its only when you read the research they are allegedly reliant upon can you see how shoddy it is and how poor the actual data is.

I'm new to WPATH. I've been worried about trans ideology v real womens rights but this is unbelievable. What I'm hearing is doctors who anticipate being sued, they know harm is being done, they go ahead when consent is inpossible to get. They're not professional, they're an ideological organization, they're not medical, not scientific, no age limits, and they're in the business of mutilating and steralizing children. I thought children couldn't consent to medical interventions, i thought doctors took an oath first do no harm. So how did everyone stand by and let this happen. Where was the medical profession? Why did nobody stop them. It's unbelievable. Dysphoria is the new normal. Transitionsing children is profound child abuse.
sayings like ' right side of history ' 'trans women are women' and ' do you want a dead son or live daughter'. its ideological manipulation to the most sociopathic degree. it reminds me of WW2 to be honest. Some people have compared it to lobotomies, but I think it's far worse actually, it seems like lobotomies were not used and pushed as much as this.
I transitioned on the cusp of the 70s-80s and under the early protocols (i.e. 2 different psychiatrists, 2 years of 'living the life' prior to any surgical proceedures, etc.) I believe that this was the right choice for me, am happier, and have no regrets; but I've been increasingly concerned with the direction that I've seen trans care moving as 'informed consent' dominating the standards of care and anecdotal stories I've heard. This seems to confirm my concerns. I'm really sad and suspicious of the protocols applied to the exploding numbers of "trans" kids that we've been seeing. There is just no darn way that all these kids are receiving the appropriate care.

That's exactly how my trans friends transitioned too, and it was the right choice for them. But this new method of fast-tracking kids scares me. . . I was a tomboy who hated puberty like the plague, and if I'd been born in 2000, I would've been misdiagnosed as a trans boy. But, like many kids, I wasn't trans, I just needed time for my psychological womanhood to catch up to my physical womanhood.
Finally it is out in the open. Too late for my twins but hopefully avoiding the harm of others. You are wonderful Stella. Thank you.
To have one child go through this is unfathomable. But two? Oh my gosh. I am so sorry.
My son was told to call our pediatrician the day he turned 18(still in high school) and he would refer him to pediatric endocrinologist at Dartmouth medical center in NH. 30 minute assessment with a licsw got him an appointment with an endo and when he asked for counciling to go with his starting estrogen he was told "we don't work with therapist, but I can give you a name of a guy") 20 minute appointment with bloodwork and started estrogen the next day. NO therapy AT ALL!!!!!
Get him out of the country. Now.

It seems like these things are never the end of these types of organizations it just causes them to spread all their members to other places and eventually reform as another organization under another name
I left a comment on Sibdbh Gallagher's channel which said 'you are not a doctor, you are a butcher' and I stand by it. Sasha nailed it when she said that doctors should use the most minimally invasive option unless they have to do something else. First do no harm.
I went to school with Sidhbh "the butcher" Gallagher... I left a comment also and it said, "sidhbh, prison is too good for you"...

This wonderful news and together with the fact the Dutch Protocol is to be investigated I hope we are seeing the final days of this horrific ideology-driven experimentation on children.

I was going to say that at least adults can consent but many adults aren't fully aware of what they are signing up to, some still seem to think there is such a thing as a 'sex change' and they seem woefully ignorant about female biology in particular. One tiny compensation is if they have waited until they've gone through puberty they might still have some sexual function which can't be said for the children. One mother laughed at the probability her puberty blocked son might never experience orgasm as if it was of no importance. With parents like that kids have no chance.
I'm worried that they will find a way to spin this and bury it.
The issue is that the whole thing has a quasi-religious structure and a concept of heresy. The headlines will go something like "Right-Wing Anti-LGBT Journalist Seek to Discredit Gender-Affirming Organization in A Time When Violence Against LGBT People is At Alltime High"
Will mainstream media cover it? I fear it'll be buried.

I think it’s all much scarier than anyone realises, separate from the harm being caused is the fact that we are training doctors who seem to have no qualms about causing harm, so what has gone wrong in the selection and/ or training of medical students? It’s real people doing these disgusting surgeries and prescribing these hormones and it’s they who are influencing law makers who also seem to be infected with the same inability or unwillingness to care for our children. If it were a movie it would be classified as horror.
One piece that I can’t understand as far as ethics and standards is, why is Dr Marci Bowers allowed to perform surgeries? Since Bowers identifies as trans, isn’t there a conflict of interest and/or a transference of ego?? It’s like Bowers needs others in their camp to affirm their identity. How did the profession not see that Bowers was doing harm, ie. Jazz Jennings surgery as seen on TLC. 🤦🏻♀️ Bowers called Jazz a “porn star” for how much their genitals were photographed. 😮😢
For many, it is misplaced and weaponized compassion, like in Jaime Reeds case. For others, ambition and the opportunity for significant financial gain, and for some there are ominous or ideological reasons and hubris for why they have pursued these procedures. For all who go along with them, against their better instincts, there is the outsourcing of authority to others above them. This is where true horrors occur.

@@Gingerblaze I worked with medical students in a close capacity. It's def a mix of everything you laid out. These students are also so damn arrogant, and this was a mid tier medical school, not the Ivys. You could tell after speaking with many of the students that they felt they were untouchable and they could do whatever, all because they were in med school and would most likely become doctors. Me, as a Humanities major, could understand that you can't change biological sex, yet these supposedly scientific thinkers didn't think twice about the wholly unscientific idea that you can change sex with a few cosmetic procedures and hormones.

I am so grateful this has come to light but also SO FREAKING ANGRY at what my family has had to go through in the last year. I have not had one day of peace because these dishonest people (trust me, that is not the word I want to use) sold lies to my kid and the world and I am angry at the men pretending to be women on Reddit for amplifying the lies in his weak moments when he is searching the internet wondering why he is different than the "normal" kids. You all are amazing though and the only reason I have gotten through this without losing my mind (or my kid or my marriage). Using your suggestions from your podcast and book I believe is the reason he has kept him from doing anything socially or medically and now I have hope he will see the light (he has all the stereotypical traits... is a genius & prob on the spectrum but he can be reasoned with if we stay with it and not push too hard on things) and he can learn to be happy in his body (or as happy as any of us are with our bodies anyway). By this lie being exposed I believe he will also see the deception inside of it in time.
Or as happy as any of us are with our bodies. That’s right. We all have to come to terms with our faces and figures or go under the knife and pay for it ourselves.

Working on my daughter who is totally sold on Gender Affirming Care and Transphobia. Risking my otherwise great relationship with her on this for the sake of my 5 year old grandson. I feel bad saying this but the WPATH Files will make almost no difference to activists, as many are supporting for something like religious reasons, but it might sway decision makers such as prosecutors, lawyers and insurance actuaries. It's decisions with legal consequences that will bring this madness to an end.
You jave my utmost respect. Im a RGN and the amount of research and professional integrity you show blows me away. Gives me hope that there is a scientific method being followed " some where".

Thank you for highlighting this report and discussing its contents in such an accessible way. Now to read it.
If these files are reported on with the seriousness and detail that they should be, the ramifications for the way so many aspects of the way our culture operates would be enormous. It's just a flabbergastingly awful condemnation of so many of the structures of knowledge that we unquestioningly assume are considered, restrained and professional.
Psychiatry (thousands of practitioners deluded by Ideological dogma into denying the absolute core principles of the discipline),
medicine (The same, with surgeons being allowed to use untested, barely adequate surgeries to sterilise and multilate very vulnerable children, the majority of which have mental health issues or are autistic)
The media (sat by in muted silence ignoring the clear evidence presented, endlessly going to bat for the team that hasn't been able to present a single convincing argument in favour of its beliefs, in a decade of scandal and outrage)
Schools (educators and whole school boards co-opted into promoting and supporting nonsensical "facts" about sex, punishing students that spoke the truth, firing teachers that saw the truth).
The political system has given us virtually nothing, with those brave enough to open their mouths slandered and beaten down, told to shut the hell up, disregarded whilst their captured or incurious collegues lined up to make the right noises.
The list goes on and on. Virtually every discipline in The Humanities has given itself over including, unbelievably, Philosophy.
It's all says something absolutely profound about how "rational" we are as humans. This crisis has seemed to have split people into those who saw this as insane almost immediately, those that bought into it unquestioningly and those that are so disinterested and incurious that they are as useless as the sheep that swallowed the bullshit.
Which of us can trust any of these authorities to tell us the truth again when they were either unthinkingly gullible, or cowed by power and the fear of pointed fingers into solely looking after their own best interests, keeping their mouths shut? Which of us can trust that the doctor we visit, who is claiming to be giving us "The Facts" knows any more than we do about basic anatomical or psychological truths?
The biggest question is, how did this happen on such a scale?!?! What is wrong with us?!

In Spain , we have the same Trojan horse
Same here in Norway. Although they did ban puberty blockers it still continues as there is a loophoule for medical trials and we just passed a conversion therapy ban explicitly designed to protect "gender identity" into law. Our school textbooks are also filled with gender identity nonsense.
One of the doctors at my medical school was more than willing to treat someone with DID with transgender hormones. I have seen it multiple times just as a student.

Thank you for covering the WPATH Files. I'm very much on the Left of the political spectrum and know for a fact many peers are fearful of speaking up over fears of losing employment or being cancelled, although I'm happy to be cancelled for supporting what is scientifically correct, i.e., I'm not one for faddism or false science and desire to be on the right side of history. Once again, many thanks for shinning a light on these pressing issues, of which protecting our youth must be a priority. Further, and residing in the People's Republic of China, our children and teenagers are not exposed to the Gender crap in Schools or Colleges, maybe that's one reason our youth educationally are miles ahead of students in the USA/UK, witnessed by South Korea, HKSAR, PRC and Singapore to name a few.

Are you suggesting Asian nations don't have human rights, or are you taking a swing at the People's Republic of China, which I've resided in since July 1997? Further, as for education, do look at the PISA rankings, you'll find the top 10 dominated by Asian nations, who put a great deal of emphasis on educating youth.

Now, talking about education and PISA, you'll find Finland has found a happy mid-ground in education, which I'm most happy to endorse. That said my own daughter attends a bilingual state-run secondary school in the HKSAR and I have no complaints about her education - this coming from someone who holds post-grad teaching qualifications from the University of Wales.
@@theroadlesstraveled3993 I trust you are aware, there is a huge economic gulf between many Asian nations, you are referencing South Korea & Japan. Hong Kong is very much a mixed bag, whilst folks in the Philippines, Malaysia. Thailand and Indonesia would struggle to afford medicines for depression. Its a big place and highly diverse, as is China itself, its not all Shanghai's I can assure you.
I think the scariest thing that came up in this talk was the physician trying to come up with medical/surgical protocols for non binary people. I guess the idea is to effectively create an individual with no apparent/external sex features: no penis, no vagina, no breasts. In other words, some kind of sexless third gender like in the star Trek Enterprise episode 'Cogenitor'. The opposite of this would be the person who wants a pseudo-vagina whilst retaining a penis (working I assume).
Why is it so difficult for physicians and the world at large to see (or at least ask the question) that these two examples are connected to sexual dysfunction/fantasies?
Fingers crossed the WPATH files has a big impact. Knowing the media they will simply not report on it very much/spin it, but lets see.

I just hope some-one in the legal department of the medical insurance companies sues the clinics and medical associations today because its their craven lack of morals and ethics that puts children at risk.
You can't protect children if you view your work as "practise" and expect them to be "patient".
The real question is WHO BENEFITS from this institutionalization of WPATH-type ideology? Clearly, it is making billions of dollars for the practitioners, but the exact mechanisms must be demonstrated. A beginning was made here with a description of the intervention of the insurance and pharmaceutical behemoths, but we should also be aware of the 'kick-backs' that go from these sources back to actual 'health-care' providers.

to have their licenses revoked, be banned from practice for life(, if not prosecuted, maybe more archaic laws that come to mind are a bit extreme...)?

Paul McHugh is one of the most vindicated men in clinical psychology, he was spot on about recovered memories and spot on about sloppy transition care decades before they emerged as the huge problems they later became. What a Cassandra.

It is…and at the same time, I imagine that getting informed consent from such a patient would offer similarly comedic challenges regardless of the treatment.
As a grandmother this news is hopeful that not all is lost. The transgender movement has hijacked the gay and lesbian letters of that alphabet group. My brother a gay man who died from AIDS related pneumonia almost 20 years ago, was embarrassed by the transgendered group as he felt many were either gay men or lesbian women wanting to deny or confused by their homosexuality. Would he have today been forced into this transition today because he struggled with his gay”ness”. Just like Covid vaccines, informed consent and trials are fictional.
Agree completely. I am astounded that gay people can promote it at all, unless there is self hatred. Maybe even projecting their own feelings onto another, while not harming their own bodies. At the top there is so much money and it is obvious that it is a grift. They are hurting vulnerable and immature children through these procedures.

TBH these days knowing what I know now that really doesn't shock me that a Dr considered such a thing. I dread to think what is happening behind close doors that we don't know about for example, the animal experiments occurring for these Dr's to test their ideas.

The inclusion of patients with Bi-polar, Depression, and Autisism will inflate the suicidal tendencies of any selected group. Other conditions will skew the "test", but those particular sub-groups will dramatically increase the suicidal projection.
Bipolar itself has a 20% suicide SUCCESS rate and 50% suicide attempt, and 100% experience at least 1 instance of suicidal ideation.
I think Suicide is quite high among individuals with Autism too - 10%+.
In other words, it's a stacked deck, and anyone that has completed basic statistics can expose this fraud with a few numbers and a Venn diagram.
So why hasn't anyone demonstrated the fraud using that hard concrete data that has been accumulated for decades & centuries?
No, Sasha, the clinician is demonstrating something worse. The question has to be asked, if WPATH are just promulgating an ideology, none of which is based on scientific studies, so no science, no medicine and along with this you describe the clinicians egging each other on, one has to ask, who are these people? I am very concerned about youngsters being treated for gender dysphoria, and I imagine the end goal of WPATH critics is to end childhood transition. I wonder though, what is the goal or idea for those who are already on treatment? People who perhaps have been on hormone treatment for years...? I'm just curious what the end goal is, and how current trans people (adults) would be treated going forward. ❤ I know this question is secondary to protecting children right now, but im sure that somehow the dominoes will fall in our direction eventually. Thoughts? Thank you! ❤

I don’t know why she is laughing…this has been an extremely devastating season as a grandmother. I’d like to give accolades, but I’m devastated by the length and distance my grandchild has gotten to. This disclosure still has a long way to go to inform the children, and parents!

It’s very similar to religious belief where ideology trumped actual scientific evidence and knowledge. I know this isn’t an original thing to say, but it needs to be repeated until people understand and admit that their actions weren’t motivated by anything other than doing good in order to push a greater agenda. Which is something they’ve denied even the existence of for decades.

Sasha and Stella, I adore your important work. But you are miseducated about Dissociative Identity Disorder. (And its history, and its aetiology, and the scientific basis for the theory of structural dissociation).
Young people diagnosing themselves with DID via social media IS a huge issue recognised by those of us in the field of caring for victims of severe and extreme abuse. But young people are also diagnosing themselves with Tourette’s syndrome and OCD, and you guys are not laughing about those conditions and claiming they aren’t real.
I think you should connect with the International Society for the Study of Trauma and Dissociation, and perhaps read some of the scientific and psychological literature around DID.
It has become very fashionable to dismiss structural dissociation as made up; don’t fall prey to this fashion, I beg you.

I read the journalistic summary of the files with all the “big scary quotes” and while I applaud the effort to end the very one-sided medical and journalistic take on this issue, I found a lot of the big smoking guns…left something to be desired? Many of them were just doctors talking about edge cases, or discussing how to offer care to especially troubled patients. I’m wary since it can be very easy to take a standard discussion between specialized professionals and twist it all around. But I’ll await more reporting, since I Am Not A Doctor. And whatever the conclusions, more transparency is better than less, especially in science and medicine.

So without denying that transsexualism/transgenderism is an existential phenomenon & that it needs psychological & medical intervention, how do you look at WPATH guidelines and figure out how to improve their guidelines & the way that they are cherry picked by the service providers. As long transitional treatment for those trans people that need is recognised & not wiped out by anti trans lobbyists & ill willed ignoramuses. I agree there should be an in depth process (for those that need to fully transition) but WPATH also need to include support gudrnce for those that don't need to transition medically. In terms of socially & society's general acceptance, in general the public & those in law need to level up (evolve psychologically) in their recognition acceptance & comfort around all parts of society (including Lgbtqia+) that are not part of the simplistic childish status quo that society hold as what's normal...

I'm a trans woman with schizophrenia, who was rejected by gender clinic, and yet blocked the testosterone permanently with denaturated alcohol injections, which helped to reduce schizophrenia symptoms (many forms of schizophrenia have androgenic origins). If you require a prescription to buy alcohol, I could have just injected my testes with bacteria, wait till necrosis and then ask ER to remove them. I can also extract bisphenol A or use other estradiol surrogates. I'm not afraid to perform orchiectomy on myself and the others. There are a ton of easily accessible (to minors too) but harmful and dangerous HRT methods, yet you lobby to ban access to safe factory made estradiol implants and surgeries performed by professionals.

Vocal fry as a feature of speech is not an impediment and there is no clinical research showing any long-term vocal damage resulting from use of vocal fry. Vocal fry is also a standard sound in many major languages and dialects spoken by hundreds of millions of people, including Mandarin Chinese. Get your science up. This is an old wive’s tale from opera teachers who had no clinical research to rely upon.
