Your video was the first I found that explained where to mount when you have granite. Well done.
Thank you for this video!! The wife and I tackled this with confidence referring back and forth to the video while installing. Took us about 3 hours because we took our time to be sure. Saved a lot of money! We paid $400 for dishwasher, they wanted $150 to install. Saved it thanks to you folks sharing your knowledge. Recommend using plumbers tape for threaded fittings, just to be sure.
I just bought the WDF520PADM model today and I declined the $150 charge for the installation thinking I will somehow figure it out or ask my friend to help me install it when the time comes. I am glad I found this video. My dishwasher will be delivered in two days and I am excited to get started. I have so much confidence after watching this video. Installed Whirlpool model WDF330PAHS which is similar to this one. The instructions were spot on. Even with having good experience with plumbing, electrical, and appliance installation, this video provided some useful tips with this particular model and gave me good insight on exactly what to expect. Barely even needed the install manual.

Great video, clear directions. New Whirlpool dishwasher works amazing. My old Kenmore one was a champ installed in 1991. I calculated the energy costs and it appears like it will drop the KWH from about 950 down to 241. Estimated electric bill down from $122 to $31 annually. Got this dishwasher this weekend 9/2018, at a local appliance shop new for just $300. Full cost recovery in just 3 years, 4 months! Plus I'm going to have dishes that are actually clean! :)

Thanks for video, sadly this thing was much more difficult to hook to a solid brass line where the height had to be all the way lowered. If you pause at 10:48 you will see that drain line going under the feed line, mine has no room for both so they collide and connecting the solid brass feed was a nightmare.

Wait about non-garbage disposal install? I have the drain pipe setup, and 1 inch is too big, am I supposed to cut the end off?
Thanks for great vid. The instruction manual is a joke. I kept looking for the "caps" to remove to drive the screw through the plastic liner. LOL I don't know why Whirlpool (and others) don't just link to your vids on UA-cam.

The model we bought required the input of an installation cycle.
After installation we got an error code code and the dishwasher would not operate. After the inputting the installation cycle. Everything worked fine.
I was very frustrated until I reread the instructions. Lol if all else fails read the instructions..
Shouldn't the kick plate of the D/W be aligned with the kick plate of the adjacent cabinets? The way it was installed, there is a gap between the cabinet kick plate and the D/W kick plate.
I recently purchased the WDF540PADW model and I have never installed a dishwasher before. This was helpful but I don't feel super comfortable doing it on my own. Any recommendations?
My drain connection does not go thru the garbage disposal...The drain is low in the sink cabinet.
Can I do a straight connection or do I still need to loop the hose high and/or use a anti-siphon devise?

thanks for the video. The part that I'm still not sure about is how the drain hose is supposed to be oriented after you connect it. You can't see it in the video. On my unit, the drain hose that is already attached to the dishwasher has an opening pointing towards the front of the dishwasher. So when I attach the drain hose, it has to awkwardly loop back in order to go to the back of the dishwasher where the hole in the cabinet is. Not sure if my unit has the attached drainage tube oriented wrong?

Is it supposed to come with insulation out of the box? Mine didn't have it unless the delivery guys threw it away thinking it was packaging material
Hi I have a bran new dishwasher model wdp 540 in the hole where the dishwasher goes there is a 2 inch drain pipe behind it prevents it from going. All the way through I can not move the pipe because the landlord dose not want to I need help finding out what I can do to Mont the brackets on the side because it's sticking out to much
My solution, with my new dishwasher with beautiful clean filters was that the plug in the garbage disposal was not hit out!
I realize that this video is for a different model but if anyone is installing a dishwasher using the w10806906H manual be aware the height adjustment chart has an error for the 341/2 size cabinet opening. 27 millimeters is 1 inch and 1/16th not 11/16th's.
Came back from Home Depot with a *NON*metallic strain relief, didn't realize til i installed, because it looks exactly like the one in this video. Also, seems metallic. Haha, but i see now the packaging says Non. Is this ok or a problem? Thanks!

I did exactly what this video says, no water is coming in, at all. I hear the dishwasher making noise but no water. Removed the elbow, and water comes out: so idk
Uh, my dishwasher didn't come with a ground accessory (loop for screw), only bare wire! Is it all right to wrap it around the screw?

Sorry, yes the bare wire would go to ground screw in the junction box.
I don't know if the video was updated but there are clear instructions for hardwire later on in the video.
I just installed as per instructions which are very good. Now my door won't close don't know why everything is level and nothing is impeding the door. Any one else have this issue?

When the product doesnt work. No technicians to help. They dont show up for appointments. Leaving me with a $800 paperweight that should be a refridgerator. Hours on hold trying to get a hold of customer service who cant help you at all! so disappointing. will never buy again!
