The new bumpers are like nice jewelry dressing for the car, good bang for the buck because it instantly makes it look that much nicer.

Ellie, my first car when I was 19 - a 1964 Mercury Comet Caliente 4 door with a 289 4V that had been imported to Canada from Texas then wrecked two months later. I bought it from the wreckers for $250 in 1983 and rebuilt the car with help from my grandfather and older brother- much like you are doing to Carl with your father now. Guess what- I still have my car 38 years later and still enjoy improving things every year! I'm sure you'll own yours for many years to come so enjoy it. Also, even more, I'm sure you'll treasure the time with you father for the rest of your life. Congratulations on your build so far.

Congratulations on your award. It a feeling and moment you will not forget. When i heard you were at the dinner i was hoping you would get an award and then you announced you received one. I was thinking well deserved. I watch from Australia and I drive a 1967 XR Falcon which I recently rebuilt from a badly rushed shell with my lovely wife for the nationals here. We do the car stuff together, just like you and your dad. You guys are a great team.

Very Nice . And you found a very nice set of bumpers. That looks so much nicer that the old ones. And getting an award is even better, it show that people appreciated the work and effort you put into your car. Looks like you got bitten by the car show bug. Now you want more. All good , have lots of fun and learn many things from the Falcon community. just like the hood latch adjustment , So nice for that gentleman to show you how to do that . See you next time in the Garage.

When I had to replace the rear bumper it was bent beyond repair. Some of the bolts just spun so i used an angle grinder to remove the heads. I found new bolts the same size and just a little longer at a local parts store. My new bumper was $300 so you got a good deal.

Great job, on the award. When i used to go to car shows. With my '67 Falcon Sport Coupe. I always put it under, "Original". which was the truth. And i Always got beat by the same guy, That had his Fully Restored. Mine was a daily driver, since 1967. ( And then other people complained, and kept asking about why mine never came close? Because It Was Actually Original, And not Restored? So, I quit car shows about 7-8 years ago. I Hated Drama! SO, I Left going to / even looking at car shows. ) Just Keep up the great job. And never lose the spirit, of cars. Like i did years ago. ( Maybe mine will come back again. )
