Growing up, I didnt know anybody who was into "nerdy" things, especially as a girl I just kept it to myself, but enjoyed how thoroughly you covered the games you played. Honestly it reminds me of why I love Cyno so much; both him and Elesa seem like serious no-nonsense characters but they’re actually big dorks that crack bad jokes all the time in the same deadpan no-nonsense sounding tone! It’s a personal favorite trope. Only difference is that they build on that trait with Elesa a little more and give her a reason for it where as Cyno just kinda cracks terrible jokes because he can.
she makes another bad pun when she meets the alola protagonist Selena and Elio it's where you learn that the two characters tend to space out a lot because it took them about a minute to react to her joke
I think its notable that despite Spinda having Contrary AND getting Superpower through the Dream World, that Spinda can't learn Superpower through this move tutor. Its absolutely infuriating.
Model-level beauty with the drip, looks too cool for school but is not-so-secretly a big sweetheart and a bit of a dork? Elesa is the best. Truly electrifying.
I find it amusing that Juniper is actually just like "Yeah, that's probably the smart answer" when you say No, lol. The writing in this game is really fun.
Just a little clarification. You cannot use last resort as the only move on a pokemon. It must use a minimum of 1 move beforehand for it's requirements to be met. So the fake out + last resort strategy does work.
I freaking love Lentimas Town. It’s one of my favorite towns ever! It acted like a hub of sorts that I always returned to for various reasons. The look and aesthetic of the town is so distinct, especially with the sandstorm flowing. The move tutor here has some amazing moves. And the music, oh the music is amazing! I find myself humming or whistling it even when I don’t play the game. This town rules despite how forgotten is it! Side note: I hadn’t seen that flashback w/ Skyla and Elesa in forever, and it makes me like them even more now. The fact that Elesa doesn’t want to be seen as just a pretty face but as a genuine person people can easily approach is so heartwarming
Kinda makes sense, considering one of Elesa's signatures is Emolga, which is part flying. Also a bit of headcanon is that they met/bonded because Skyla would fly Elesa to her modeling gigs around and outside of Unova.
I never even heard about it until about a year ago and linked it to my game when I had the chance. Now, I wonder if I should start over my file just to see how more connected it becomes.
I really love this part of the game where after a decent chunk of time following a similar but different path, the game throws you for a loop and changes the route all the way to the Pokemon League completely.
I’ll always remember Lentimas Town because of the reaction I had when I reached it for the first time. I was completely shocked at the new area and how off course it was compared to the progression of the first game. It was incredible
So little fact about the move gravity that Chugga missed is that, in addition to allowing you to hit flying Pokemon and those with levitate with ground moves, it also raises the accuracy of all moves(baring OHKO moves)
I just realized how much heavier the title hits now, To the Little Place in the Sky, I don’t know if this was uploaded before or after Kirby but I want to believe that Chuggaa timed this video because riding the plane was either an attempt at chasing after Kirby’s spirit trying to bring him back or seeing him off. I also think ringing the Celestial Tower bell was premeditated too
Hearing Kirby after hearing the news makes me feel sad, and I can't begin to imaging how you're feeling. I just remember when I got into your videos as a kid, Teddy and Kirby were there. I guess it's a reminder of age, which feels oddly fitting considering your talk about not really feeling old in this video
Chuggaa's LP finally got me to play White 2, and I got here to Lentimas Town a few days ago. I was really surprised to find this place! It's very unique, and while it's small, I find it really charming.
At the risk of oversharing, I had to put my dog down today and this is really helping me feel better. Thank you for being you, Emile, even if you don't see this.
Lentimas Town is one of my favorite towns in Unova, not only for the design of it but for the music. Also Reversal Mountain’s OST too. It was a good moment heading to those places though it was short.
Last Resort was actually the cornerstone of the main set used by the Pokémon Komala in gen 7. Due to its ability Comatose (which makes it so Komala is always treated as asleep without any of the downsides), it could run a set of Sleep Talk and Last Resort, allowing it to spam an insanely powerful attack from the first turn of the battle. This strategy was of course stopped in its tracks by any Ghost type, but it was really funny nonetheless.
My favorite goofy set was running Fake Out and Last Resort on Ambipom. Technician boosted STAB Fake Out followed by STAB Last Resort with 100 base Attack and 115 base Speed is nothing to sneeze at for a gimmick set lol
Good call Emile with passing on teaching Jade Earth Power with the Move Tutor because you would've wasted 8 Blue Shards. She learns it on her own at Level 39
Continuing the theme of Unovan towns being named after types of clouds, Lentimas Town is named after lenticular clouds. They are a somewhat obscure type of cloud that usually appears in the mountains and has a distinctive disc shape. A few of them can pile on together and look like a stack of plates. They've sometimes been mistaken for UFOs.

We'll even get to Humilau later, which was our Alola pre-Alola! Such a wide diversity in land within a lil' DS cartridge!

If there’s one thing good about aqua tail is that it gives the Serperior line an actual form of coverage outside of normal type moves and dragon pulse. Otherwise, you’re using the move because you don’t have waterfall

Pignati, Entry Log 42: Lentimas Town… huh never heard of it. It looks like an interesting place though, a settlement in a mountain range, a volcanic mountain range at that. The whether here is even comparable to that of a sandstorm if extremely light. I do find myself liking it here though, the heat and rocky terrain is right up my alley. I can’t wait to test myself on the trainers around here a tough environment like this ought to be full of strong trainers. There’s even a rumor of a powerful pokémon around these parts so I look forward to getting to see them. Hmmm, ever since evolving my desire for battle has intensified even more. I suppose that competitive side of me is at full bloom now that I’m a fully evolved Fire/Fighting type. McFly, Entry Log 37: “Oh dear. I hope the weather here won’t be a problem when we get into a fight. It feels a little too close to the desert resort, a neat little town though. Lentimas town, even Pignati has never heard of this place and he’s generally pretty well informed about the region. I can’t begin to imagine what it’s like living in such a mountainous place and it being a volcano of all things. At least it’s dormant and hopefully it’ll stay like that for the foreseeable future. As for another thing, I find it quite fascinating to know we’ll be exploring the other side of the region for the rest of the journey to the Elite Four. That cave in seriously changed the planned course, I wonder what pokémon we’ll meet on this end. Aiden, Entry Log 32: Being on a plane was… a bit nerve racking. I mean it was fun getting onto a ride with everyone else and it was neat to see that the plane was made to accommodate pokémon as well, if relatively human sized pokémon or smaller. I could tell Pignati was stretching the limit with their girth. But what got to me was just the fact that… *shutters* I’m not afraid of heights but something about being in a flying vehicle just didn’t sit right with me. I can’t really explain it even, maybe the fact that I could sense the clouds around us, or perhaps the hum of the plane as it flew, I just didn’t like it. Thankfully it didn’t take that long to get us to the town. The heat is a bit much but I do resist some of it at the very least. The weather is not doing good for my skin though. Jade, Entry Log 25: Well, I didn’t have dragon breath for long. But this Dragon Pulse feels like it’ll be quite good. Blaise has to work very hard to gather up these stinking shards. I really don’t understand the desire to collect things. I mean I kind of get it if they have purpose of some sort but these shards just look like broken pieces of… something. Oh, sure the people who want these things claim they have some sort of use but do we ever see what it is? No, of course we don’t. Eh I shouldn’t really be bothered by this, getting to learn more powerful moves by simply trading random material? By all means it’s quite the bargain even if getting these shards is a pain. Heck I’m not the one trying to find them either that’s all on our trainer. Hmmm… now that I think about it, we owe Blaise a lot for the things she’s willing to do for us. She feeds us high quality food and not just canned pokéfood found on shelves. She gives us all constant cleaning and grooming whenever she can. Heck, she keeps us out of the pokéballs quite often to allow us to enjoy the adventure more. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. Harmony, Entry Log 16: Wow. Flying on your own is one thing but to get to ride on something else that flies feels totally different. It was a bit awkward for me to sit in the seat given my body shape and the protective belt didn’t feel comfortable either. But watching the outside window as the scenery went by was a treat and it felt neat to just be in the sky without doing all of the effort. Although now we’re in quite the area, I’m quite reckless, I’m willing to admit that, but I know that flying around here would be quite dangerous. Thankfully I don’t have to worry about that! I have Magic Guard I am immune to weather damage by the very definition of its power. I can’t be harmed by anything passive including things like minor air hazards or even poison. So, I can fly in this weather quite easily with absolutely no consequences. Although that doesn’t mean I can’t won’t feel uncomfortable I just won’t suffer. *Outside in the middle of town* Everyone was look up at the stars as they took the time to enjoy a quiet moment. Everyone else was in their houses and there wasn’t even any wild pokémon around. The weather had cleared up enough to allow them to see the wide starry sky as the light pollution in the town was minimal at most. Star gazing wasn’t something they did often but Blaise had them do this once in a while to just let them all relax and have their minds go blank. Blaise was laying on her back using their picnic blanket to keep from getting too dirty. Pignati, McFly, and Aiden were all staring up at the stars alongside her having all gotten quite use to this activity. Jade and Harmony for their own reasons though did their own things. Jade just wasn’t the type to enjoy star gazing. She much preferred roaming around on her own when she wanted too just let her mind turn off. That and she’s been spending most of her time getting use to flying again. For Harmony it was quite simple she just had way too much energy to stay in one spot for too long. She did try to find something she could do that would let her to relax her mind but that was quite the challenge to do. So, she kind of just did what Jade does and wanders around with no goal in mind. Often following Jade around actually since it was good to not be alone entirely and since the point was to relax and not think to hard, they often flew around in silence. It was dreadfully boring for her though but Blaise had explained many times that it was good to just… let your head wander once in a while. To be fair, she of all mons knows what it is like, just not in a good way. She wandered the desert resort aimlessly for centuries. She was still herself but she was stuck in an endless loop of flying around, sleeping, eating, and then flying around again. Occasionally she’d fight pokémon or trainers who got to close and would either succeed in warding them off or be knocked out and get lucky to not be captured or killed while she laid in the sands. So, when Blaise and her friends caught the avianoid pokémon she was given the jolt she needed to break away from her endless routine and get back to who she used to be. Harmony just found it hard to go back into that “turn off brain” mindset for the fact she had hers turned off for so long. Yet, a part of her did understand that the type of turn off brain that Blaise wants them to do isn’t the same as the experience she went through. It was simply hard to not feel like it will be and the like. This made Harmony sigh dramatically. “You okay?” Jade then asks making the taller mon gasp and snap out of their thoughts. “O-Oh uh… yeah I’m fine.” She replies out of surprise. “Are you?” Jade asks back with a skeptical look. “Your eye is very expressive Harmony. You look troubled.” She then explains. “Oh… yeah I guess I am.” The colourful pokémon admits. “What about?” Jade then asks. “I… I really don’t like talking about it. But I *did* roam the desert resort for a very long time Jade.” Harmony points out. “The collapse of my home city, losing most of my original friends, and family. Everything I knew and it left me and the rest of my kin as roaming sentries without any real goals in mind. The scariest part is that while at one point we knew why we were left to forever repeat a flying pattern for until we died naturally or be caught by a pokémon trainer.” “Those memories slowly ebbed away and now while I know that something catastrophic must’ve happened to leave an entire species worth of Sigilyphs to fly around in a city-less environment. I just don’t know what it could've been but it was enough to make us unable to break free of our ancient duties. For more years than I can actually recall Jade, I flew around on a set path with no goal in mind. Can you imagine? Doing the same thing every single day with little to no divergence for hundreds of years, even though you had hundreds of your friends living with you, the instinct to talk and socialize had been broken out of you because of event you don’t even remember. Frankly I’m surprised I didn’t go insane.” She explains. Jade stares at Harmony for a bit and sighs softly before she stopped moving forwards and faced her. The colorful avianoid stopping as well with a “Hm?” then without warning Jade moved up to Harmony and hugged her around her long neck. Harmony gasped loudly at the surprise and feeling of the hug. “Believe it or not. I do have an idea of what that must’ve been like Harmony. But know that I am here for you and same with the others. You don’t have to talk about it any more than you already have. But at the same time don’t think you have to keep it in either. If there’s one thing, I’ve learned being with everyone. It’s that having connections is an irreplaceable safety net.” Harmony floated there with Jade for a bit before a large tear formed beneath her one eye and began to pool down. She began to make crying sounds as she wrapped her side wings around Jade and curled her neck around her friend. There they floated in the middle of the streets of Lentimas Town having a much-needed moment. Aiden 3’03”, McFly & Jade 3’07”, Harmony 4’07”, Pignati 5’03”. Harmony 30.9 lbs. Jade 33.7 lbs. Aiden 63.9 lbs. McFly 66.1 lbs. Pignati 330.7 lbs.
Lentimas Town… that blue shard Tutor is where the fun begins. Superpower Emboar can pretty much 1-hit kill everything that doesn’t resist Fighting. Pair it with a hazard setter or a shuffler, and everyone gets to come on and Slam, and Welcome to the Jam 15:10 also, I guess this finally explains the gym music for Nimbasa
Lentimas Town is so underrated. I like the aesthetic, I love the music, got some good moves from the move tutor in town... it's just really nice. Also, I'm playing along, just taught my Sunflora Earth Power, first useful coverage move it's gotten in this whole playthrough.
The scene at the end between Skyla and Elesa is interesting considering the fact that it is about a peculiar way of comedy in Japan: The manzai comedy where it works as a duo. The "boke", the one telling bad joke and playing the idiot; and the "tsukkomi", the rational one and reacting to the boke. This is why Elesa is only telling "bad jokes" as the boke would do and she wants Skyla to react and correct her as a tsukkomi would also do.
I got hyped for this episode because I was excited to find out if my Skorupi theory was correct. I didn't think there'd be anything to do in a town with four houses. I trolled myself.

The start of my favorite stretch of BW2's main story! I've always loved the trek from Lentimas right to the end, between the many vistas and atmospheres on the way. I'd actually be more keen to recommend Superpower as an all-out move on Pignati, in case something needs to be slammed down with a vengeance. That said, there's also Hammer Arm to relearn...

Something funny: at 17:10 when Chugga is given the Spell Tag & the lady comments that he has one, she wasn't saying he already had one from somewhere else. She forgot that she gave you the Spell Tag soon after handing it off, implying she was atleast partially possessed by it. Which falls in line with how the Spell Tag is shown in other various Pokémon Games & fits Lentimas Town since... well, next episode will probably have more about it. ;)
If Elesa were to be a real person, she and Emile would be great friends. ProtonJon would be like, "Oh God, there's two of them." when those two start making bad puns. Thinking on it now, it'd be more devastating if sans were to be real person.
hearing Kirby in the background reminds me of my old girl Buffy, who I lost a couple years back. She was 21yo. It makes these videos very bittersweet, but also reminds me of what I loved most about having an older cat. My current mogs are so young and full of energy, I forget what it was like having a much older companion around.
Something to add to the gravity tutor, gravity also raises accuracy! So it's been used in competitive with moves like hypnosis to almost have a 100% accurate sleep move

The lady in the Pokemon center who gave you the Spell Tag wasn't commenting on a Spell Tag you already had, but rather the Spell Tag she just gave you. It's implied that she was possessed by a spirit and came back to her senses after giving you the Spell Tag. There's always someone getting possessed by a ghost in these games...
I know it's pretty clear know, but I'm amazed at how they nailed it with these games. Back in the day, I assumed it was a lazy follow up to BW. How wrong I was. Loving the LP, thanks for sharing!

This is so cool, how the gym leaders are real people who have careers that affect their communities instead of being bosses that stand in their gyms all day! This is a good thing GF took from the anime.
Lentimas Town shure is a town that exists.Being a B2W2 exclusive area, located in some remote corner of Unova, and being of little importance to the plot aside from beign a pti stop on the way to more prominent areas, really meant it got the short end of the stick. Which is a shame, because the American southwest inspired architecture really helps it stand out. This is also where our route through Unova goes competely off the rails. We're going to be exploring areas that were designed to be post game routes for a while now, which means it's going to be a long journey from here to Opelucid - a journey full of massive routes to explore, a fairly large dungeon to explore, and many new towns, not to mention the like 2 dozen new species of Pokemon available along the way. This might just be my favorite part of the game. A long gap between gyms, with plenty of exploration to do, is something that Unova, for the most part, lacks. And all it took was repurposing some old areas. Unwavering Emotion is a phantastic piece of music and all, but it is hilarious seeing it paired up with this very unserious Skyla/Elesa scene. Every other time it has played so far it's been some emotional moment that reflects on the themes of the game. Here... it's just two friends hanging out, and while what they are talking about does sorta reflect on the theme of gen 5, it's just... so different than what came before. In a good way, I should add.
Ah yes. This was a scene that inspired many Elesa X Skyla fanfics. They are adorable together, whether as a couple or as friends. Elesa telling dad jokes and puns, oh she is after my heart.
Lentimas town is one of my favorite tracks added to Unova so mad they never used it in the anime. Also they added a ton of Pokemon in the area from ghost and dark type Pokemon. Its so amazing

i love that BW and BW2 expand on their gym leaders. instead of just a obstacle to battle and be done with, they're fleshed out and do stuff outside of the gym.

Honestly it reminds me of why I love Cyno so much; both him and Elesa seem like serious no-nonsense characters but they’re actually big dorks that crack bad jokes all the time in the same deadpan no-nonsense sounding tone! It’s a personal favorite trope.
Only difference is that they build on that trait with Elesa a little more and give her a reason for it where as Cyno just kinda cracks terrible jokes because he can.

I think its notable that despite Spinda having Contrary AND getting Superpower through the Dream World, that Spinda can't learn Superpower through this move tutor. Its absolutely infuriating.

Just a little clarification. You cannot use last resort as the only move on a pokemon. It must use a minimum of 1 move beforehand for it's requirements to be met. So the fake out + last resort strategy does work.
I freaking love Lentimas Town. It’s one of my favorite towns ever! It acted like a hub of sorts that I always returned to for various reasons. The look and aesthetic of the town is so distinct, especially with the sandstorm flowing. The move tutor here has some amazing moves. And the music, oh the music is amazing! I find myself humming or whistling it even when I don’t play the game. This town rules despite how forgotten is it!
Side note: I hadn’t seen that flashback w/ Skyla and Elesa in forever, and it makes me like them even more now. The fact that Elesa doesn’t want to be seen as just a pretty face but as a genuine person people can easily approach is so heartwarming

Kinda makes sense, considering one of Elesa's signatures is Emolga, which is part flying.

Honestly, I have never played this game with Memory Link because I didn't realize how much it added to the story.
I never even heard about it until about a year ago and linked it to my game when I had the chance. Now, I wonder if I should start over my file just to see how more connected it becomes.
I really love this part of the game where after a decent chunk of time following a similar but different path, the game throws you for a loop and changes the route all the way to the Pokemon League completely.
I love the past memories. They give the characters more depth than they already do! ☺️
It took me completely by surprise that the eastern mountain had an arid climate. I guess that part is a rain shadow.
I’ll always remember Lentimas Town because of the reaction I had when I reached it for the first time. I was completely shocked at the new area and how off course it was compared to the progression of the first game. It was incredible
So little fact about the move gravity that Chugga missed is that, in addition to allowing you to hit flying Pokemon and those with levitate with ground moves, it also raises the accuracy of all moves(baring OHKO moves)
I just realized how much heavier the title hits now, To the Little Place in the Sky, I don’t know if this was uploaded before or after Kirby but I want to believe that Chuggaa timed this video because riding the plane was either an attempt at chasing after Kirby’s spirit trying to bring him back or seeing him off. I also think ringing the Celestial Tower bell was premeditated too
Hearing Kirby after hearing the news makes me feel sad, and I can't begin to imaging how you're feeling. I just remember when I got into your videos as a kid, Teddy and Kirby were there. Chuggaa's LP finally got me to play White 2, and I got here to Lentimas Town a few days ago. I was really surprised to find this place! It's very unique, and while it's small, I find it really charming.
At the risk of oversharing, I had to put my dog down today and this is really helping me feel better. Thank you for being you, Emile, even if you don't see this.
Lentimas Town is one of my favorite towns in Unova, not only for the design of it but for the music. Also Reversal Mountain’s OST too. It was a good moment heading to those places though it was short.
Last Resort was actually the cornerstone of the main set used by the Pokémon Komala in gen 7. Due to its ability Comatose (which makes it so Komala is always treated as asleep without any of the downsides), it could run a set of Sleep Talk and Last Resort, allowing it to spam an insanely powerful attack from the first turn of the battle. This strategy was of course stopped in its tracks by any Ghost type, but it was really funny nonetheless.
My favorite goofy set was running Fake Out and Last Resort on Ambipom. Technician boosted STAB Fake Out followed by STAB Last Resort with 100 base Attack and 115 base Speed is nothing to sneeze at for a gimmick set lol

I've always had a soft spot for Lentimas Town. It always stuck out to me, despite being really remote, is also feels very unique and distinct
Continuing the theme of Unovan towns being named after types of clouds, Lentimas Town is named after lenticular clouds. They are a somewhat obscure type of cloud that usually appears in the mountains and has a distinctive disc shape. A few of them can pile on together and look like a stack of plates. They've sometimes been mistaken for UFOs.
Kirby should be credited for his contributions at the end of the LP, he has been adding a lot with his insightful com-mew-tary!

Pignati, Entry Log 42: Lentimas Town… huh never heard of it. It looks like an interesting place though, a settlement in a mountain range, a volcanic mountain range at that. The whether here is even comparable to that of a sandstorm if extremely light. I do find myself liking it here though, the heat and rocky terrain is right up my alley.
I can’t wait to test myself on the trainers around here a tough environment like this ought to be full of strong trainers. There’s even a rumor of a powerful pokémon around these parts so I look forward to getting to see them. Hmmm, ever since evolving my desire for battle has intensified even more. I suppose that competitive side of me is at full bloom now that I’m a fully evolved Fire/Fighting type.
McFly, Entry Log 37: “Oh dear. I hope the weather here won’t be a problem when we get into a fight. It feels a little too close to the desert resort, a neat little town though. Lentimas town, even Pignati has never heard of this place and he’s generally pretty well informed about the region.
I can’t begin to imagine what it’s like living in such a mountainous place and it being a volcano of all things. At least it’s dormant and hopefully it’ll stay like that for the foreseeable future. As for another thing, I find it quite fascinating to know we’ll be exploring the other side of the region for the rest of the journey to the Elite Four. That cave in seriously changed the planned course, I wonder what pokémon we’ll meet on this end.
Aiden, Entry Log 32: Being on a plane was… a bit nerve racking. I mean it was fun getting onto a ride with everyone else and it was neat to see that the plane was made to accommodate pokémon as well, if relatively human sized pokémon or smaller. I could tell Pignati was stretching the limit with their girth. But what got to me was just the fact that…
*shutters* I’m not afraid of heights but something about being in a flying vehicle just didn’t sit right with me. I can’t really explain it even, maybe the fact that I could sense the clouds around us, or perhaps the hum of the plane as it flew, I just didn’t like it. Thankfully it didn’t take that long to get us to the town. The heat is a bit much but I do resist some of it at the very least. The weather is not doing good for my skin though.
Jade, Entry Log 25: Well, I didn’t have dragon breath for long. But this Dragon Pulse feels like it’ll be quite good. Blaise has to work very hard to gather up these stinking shards. I really don’t understand the desire to collect things. I mean I kind of get it if they have purpose of some sort but these shards just look like broken pieces of… something. Oh, sure the people who want these things claim they have some sort of use but do we ever see what it is? No, of course we don’t.
Eh I shouldn’t really be bothered by this, getting to learn more powerful moves by simply trading random material? By all means it’s quite the bargain even if getting these shards is a pain. Heck I’m not the one trying to find them either that’s all on our trainer. Hmmm… now that I think about it, we owe Blaise a lot for the things she’s willing to do for us. She feeds us high quality food and not just canned pokéfood found on shelves. She gives us all constant cleaning and grooming whenever she can. Heck, she keeps us out of the pokéballs quite often to allow us to enjoy the adventure more. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.
Harmony, Entry Log 16: Wow. Flying on your own is one thing but to get to ride on something else that flies feels totally different. It was a bit awkward for me to sit in the seat given my body shape and the protective belt didn’t feel comfortable either. But watching the outside window as the scenery went by was a treat and it felt neat to just be in the sky without doing all of the effort.
Although now we’re in quite the area, I’m quite reckless, I’m willing to admit that, but I know that flying around here would be quite dangerous. Thankfully I don’t have to worry about that! I have Magic Guard I am immune to weather damage by the very definition of its power. I can’t be harmed by anything passive including things like minor air hazards or even poison. So, I can fly in this weather quite easily with absolutely no consequences. Although that doesn’t mean I can’t won’t feel uncomfortable I just won’t suffer.
*Outside in the middle of town*
Everyone was look up at the stars as they took the time to enjoy a quiet moment. Everyone else was in their houses and there wasn’t even any wild pokémon around. The weather had cleared up enough to allow them to see the wide starry sky as the light pollution in the town was minimal at most.
Star gazing wasn’t something they did often but Blaise had them do this once in a while to just let them all relax and have their minds go blank. Blaise was laying on her back using their picnic blanket to keep from getting too dirty. Pignati, McFly, and Aiden were all staring up at the stars alongside her having all gotten quite use to this activity. Jade and Harmony for their own reasons though did their own things.
Jade just wasn’t the type to enjoy star gazing. She much preferred roaming around on her own when she wanted too just let her mind turn off. That and she’s been spending most of her time getting use to flying again. For Harmony it was quite simple she just had way too much energy to stay in one spot for too long.
She did try to find something she could do that would let her to relax her mind but that was quite the challenge to do. So, she kind of just did what Jade does and wanders around with no goal in mind. Often following Jade around actually since it was good to not be alone entirely and since the point was to relax and not think to hard, they often flew around in silence. It was dreadfully boring for her though but Blaise had explained many times that it was good to just… let your head wander once in a while. To be fair, she of all mons knows what it is like, just not in a good way.
She wandered the desert resort aimlessly for centuries. She was still herself but she was stuck in an endless loop of flying around, sleeping, eating, and then flying around again. Occasionally she’d fight pokémon or trainers who got to close and would either succeed in warding them off or be knocked out and get lucky to not be captured or killed while she laid in the sands.
So, when Blaise and her friends caught the avianoid pokémon she was given the jolt she needed to break away from her endless routine and get back to who she used to be. Harmony just found it hard to go back into that “turn off brain” mindset for the fact she had hers turned off for so long. Yet, a part of her did understand that the type of turn off brain that Blaise wants them to do isn’t the same as the experience she went through. It was simply hard to not feel like it will be and the like. This made Harmony sigh dramatically.
“You okay?” Jade then asks making the taller mon gasp and snap out of their thoughts.
“O-Oh uh… yeah I’m fine.” She replies out of surprise.
“Are you?” Jade asks back with a skeptical look. “Your eye is very expressive Harmony. You look troubled.” She then explains.
“Oh… yeah I guess I am.” The colourful pokémon admits.
“What about?” Jade then asks.
“I… I really don’t like talking about it. But I *did* roam the desert resort for a very long time Jade.” Harmony points out. “The collapse of my home city, losing most of my original friends, and family. Everything I knew and it left me and the rest of my kin as roaming sentries without any real goals in mind. The scariest part is that while at one point we knew why we were left to forever repeat a flying pattern for until we died naturally or be caught by a pokémon trainer.”
“Those memories slowly ebbed away and now while I know that something catastrophic must’ve happened to leave an entire species worth of Sigilyphs to fly around in a city-less environment. I just don’t know what it could've been but it was enough to make us unable to break free of our ancient duties. For more years than I can actually recall Jade, I flew around on a set path with no goal in mind. Can you imagine? Doing the same thing every single day with little to no divergence for hundreds of years, even though you had hundreds of your friends living with you, the instinct to talk and socialize had been broken out of you because of event you don’t even remember. Frankly I’m surprised I didn’t go insane.” She explains.
Jade stares at Harmony for a bit and sighs softly before she stopped moving forwards and faced her. The colorful avianoid stopping as well with a “Hm?” then without warning Jade moved up to Harmony and hugged her around her long neck. Harmony gasped loudly at the surprise and feeling of the hug. “Believe it or not. I do have an idea of what that must’ve been like Harmony. But know that I am here for you and same with the others. You don’t have to talk about it any more than you already have. But at the same time don’t think you have to keep it in either. If there’s one thing, I’ve learned being with everyone. It’s that having connections is an irreplaceable safety net.”
Harmony floated there with Jade for a bit before a large tear formed beneath her one eye and began to pool down. She began to make crying sounds as she wrapped her side wings around Jade and curled her neck around her friend. There they floated in the middle of the streets of Lentimas Town having a much-needed moment.

Lentimas Town is so underrated. I like the aesthetic, I love the music, got some good moves from the move tutor in town... it's just really nice. Also, I'm playing along, just taught my Sunflora Earth Power, first useful coverage move it's gotten in this whole playthrough.

The scene at the end between Skyla and Elesa is interesting considering the fact that it is about a peculiar way of comedy in Japan: The manzai comedy where it works as a duo. The "boke", the one telling bad joke and playing the idiot; and the "tsukkomi", the rational one and reacting to the boke.
This is why Elesa is only telling "bad jokes" as the boke would do and she wants Skyla to react and correct her as a tsukkomi would also do.
This element of Elesa telling bad puns was a side of of her i comoletly forgot until it became a staring part of her apearances in pokemon masters.
I got hyped for this episode because I was excited to find out if my Skorupi theory was correct. I didn't think there'd be anything to do in a town with four houses.

The start of my favorite stretch of BW2's main story! I've always loved the trek from Lentimas right to the end, between the many vistas and atmospheres on the way.
I'd actually be more keen to recommend Superpower as an all-out move on Pignati, in case something needs to be slammed down with a vengeance. That said, there's also Hammer Arm to relearn...

She forgot that she gave you the Spell Tag soon after handing it off, implying she was atleast partially possessed by it. Which falls in line with how the Spell Tag is shown in other various Pokémon Games & fits Lentimas Town since... well, next episode will probably have more about it. ;)

hearing Kirby in the background reminds me of my old girl Buffy, who I lost a couple years back. She was 21yo.
It makes these videos very bittersweet, but also reminds me of what I loved most about having an older cat. My current mogs are so young and full of energy, I forget what it was like having a much older companion around.
Something to add to the gravity tutor, gravity also raises accuracy! So it's been used in competitive with moves like hypnosis to almost have a 100% accurate sleep move

*Ontario starts tickling Pignati's nose, and Pignati actually gets the urge to sneeze*
Shanir: AH! *grabs a tissue box* Here! Use this! *hands the box to Pignati*
Pignati: Thanks. AH-CHOOOO... *right before sneezing he takes a tissue out to his nose, but proceeds to burn right through the tissue and box as well. Thankfully the plane was not effected* ... Well what do you know... I am ticklish on my nose.
Harmony: Precisely. I will continue these facts once we are on solid ground.
Shanir: Yeah, that's probably for the best. Wouldn't want McFly sparking out and sending us back in time.
McFly: Please, that's ridiculous. There's not such thing as a time machine made out of a plane. Cars and trains, yes. But planes, don't make me laugh. No seriously, laughing actually does make me emit sparks.
Harmony: Noted.

The lady in the Pokemon center who gave you the Spell Tag wasn't commenting on a Spell Tag you already had, but rather the Spell Tag she just gave you. It's implied that she was possessed by a spirit and came back to her senses after giving you the Spell Tag. There's always someone getting possessed by a ghost in these games...
I know it's pretty clear know, but I'm amazed at how they nailed it with these games. Back in the day, I assumed it was a lazy follow up to BW. How wrong I was. Loving the LP, thanks for sharing!

Lentimas Town is one of those places in the franchise that is underrated. Maybe one day we'll see more of it.
Lentimas Town shure is a town that exists.Being a B2W2 exclusive area, located in some remote corner of Unova, and being of little importance to the plot aside from beign a pti stop on the way to more prominent areas, really meant it got the short end of the stick. Which is a shame, because the American southwest inspired architecture really helps it stand out.
This is also where our route through Unova goes competely off the rails. We're going to be exploring areas that were designed to be post game routes for a while now, which means it's going to be a long journey from here to Opelucid - a journey full of massive routes to explore, a fairly large dungeon to explore, and many new towns, not to mention the like 2 dozen new species of Pokemon available along the way.
This might just be my favorite part of the game. A long gap between gyms, with plenty of exploration to do, is something that Unova, for the most part, lacks. And all it took was repurposing some old areas.
Unwavering Emotion is a phantastic piece of music and all, but it is hilarious seeing it paired up with this very unserious Skyla/Elesa scene. Every other time it has played so far it's been some emotional moment that reflects on the themes of the game. Here... it's just two friends hanging out, and while what they are talking about does sorta reflect on the theme of gen 5, it's just... so different than what came before. In a good way, I should add.
Last Resort does not work if it is the only move a Pokemon knows.
Ah yes. This was a scene that inspired many Elesa X Skyla fanfics. They are adorable together, whether as a couple or as friends.

Lentimas town is one of my favorite tracks added to Unova so mad they never used it in the anime. Also they added a ton of Pokemon in the area from ghost and dark type Pokemon. Its so amazing
