Im pretty sure the rest was of its stats are 88 to reference how the toxic chains look.

It is a reference to a toxic chain, but also the toxic chain is a reference to infinity I believe
It also spawns at level 88 and all of its moves it learns by level up are learnt at multiples of 8

Pecharunt's 88 stats have a threefold reference;
1. Eight is a lucky number in Japanese culture and is affiliated with long/eternal life.
2. Coupled with the previous fact, the three members of the Loyal Trio also have 8's in their stat distribution (how they gained new life from Pecharunt).
3. It looks like Pecharunt and the Loyal Trio's Toxic Chains (it also can be seen as a sideways infinity sign).
You also catch it at lvl 88 not that it’s like the other references, but still kinda neat that they kept it going thru and thru with the 88 theme

Also it takes away 60 stat points total from the other stats to give it 60 in defense, it has the same base stat total as other mythicals like Mew, Shaymin, etc.
So it could have been a flat all 100 stat mon

Surprised Ogerpon didn’t kill Pecharunt with how angry she was if you switch her in the battle with Pecharunt. Dude is a demon, mind controlled three mons that are legendaries, and tortured Ogerpon’s master to death. That has to be one of the craziest Pokemon stories ever

I think the story said Ogrepon's master was missing. Given Pecharunt's ability to control people, it may have taken over her master, and made him leave.

I think that when Khu said that it would remind us of a certain Alolan Pokémon what they meant was Celesteela and not the Tapus because both Pecharunt and Celesteela are based off of Japanese stories about a child born from a plant with neither of those Pokémon being grass type.

Idk if it'll be any good but I was thinking of a Pecharunt set for doubles with Poison Gas Recover Hex and (Protect/Fake Tears/Memento/Parting Shot) cause poison gas hits both opponents so that's a potential double poison AND confusion

How long does it take you to set up each team? Like catch, EV train, PP up, change to hidden ability, pick the right tera type, it must take weeks?

You can just buy all the items except ability patch, and if you don’t like doing raids, you can clone those with wild smeargle. The only thing that takes a while is tera shards if you don’t have them stocked up, but the DLC makes those pretty fast too

I understand why people have issues with gen 9. But honestly first time since gen 5 where I liked a ton of the designs. Although I may be biased as this was the gen Mankey finally got some love with a 3rd stage GOAT.

the reason metagros had its legs up because it has the levitate ability and not it clear body hidden. if it had clear body it would have its legs down and planted. same thing happends when you use magnet rise.
