Nope, you don't need to study marketing too see that there is never a good outcome for that show. If he likes the food he is blowing his own whistle. If he shits on it he will loose buisness.
The attitude you see from Gordon is mainly from the US shows because he knows that's what people like to watch. People really need to see the UK shows, he's so chill and having fun. UK and US Restaurant Nightmares are like night and day.
Hi Sonny! 10:44 in Hell’s Kitchen we’re the Vietnamese family that waved at you and also yelled “I love you!” but that didn’t make the cut. Love your reviews in Vietnam and ecstatic to be in your Vegas video. We love you!
For real, his Asian ones are the best, especially the street food. The street food in the west makes me furious, it costs more than Asian restaurants & I'm not even talking 2nd & 3rd world countries, In Singapore & Japan restaurants are cheaper than western street food.
As an English man who grew up near a port and was cooked fresh fish almost daily, batter should never be thick. It should be thin and crunchy. He may be using haddock which is an oily but delicious fish. The oil in the fish is great for your heart. All my relatives, trawler men included lived very long lives on a main diet of a variety of fish dishes. As for the chips, the old fashioned way is thick but and starchy. Well done Gordon, keeping it authentic. As for quality checks, I know one of the chefs at Claridges who knows Gordon very well. He asks his chefs to visit other restaurants to do secret taste checks. He is an absolute stickler for quality. He lost it all and went bankrupt once, he hasn’t forgotten. I met the man once in the 00s when I did security for him in London for his book signings. After the event closed, he took all 4 of us out to a pub and paid for everything. What you see on the TV is not as calm and genuine as he is in real life. He’s a really good laugh. I said we should buy him a drink, he told me to “fu*k off” laughing and said “if it all goes tits up again, then I’ll let you” 😂
I've also learned that the Pescatarian/meditarian diet is the healthiest lifestyle out there....fish is HIGH in protein, has AMAZING health benefits, and is low in saturated fat and HIGH in unsaturated fat (INCREDIBLE FOR YOU)....Only downside is basically the mercury
It does indeed say haddock on the menu at Ramsay's fish and chips in the US. I am pretty sure in an episode of the original UK Kitchen Nightmares he changed a coastal restaurant over to haddock for their Fish and Chips so he definitely has a preference for it. In the US most places serving a breaded and fried whitefish will be serving Cod.
As a Vegas local, you at some point hit a wall with strip restaurants. Most of them you go to once and never return. My wife and I consistently return to Hells Kitchen and his pub. Hell's Kitchen is really sort of the perfect tourist restaurant, great Vegas vibe, excellent service, unique theme, and yes the lobster risotto is A+. In general I think Gordon Ramsay and his team understand Vegas. His burger restaurant is upbeat and fun, his pub food is really simple but executed well, and even his steakhouse has a cool vibe and is underrated.
I love how excited Sonny is about what he's eating, whether its sitting in an expensive restaurant eating the best they have to offer or squatting in the dirt drinking blood and eating bugs with the natives...
Yes, I would enjoy seeing food reviews in England. I'd also like to say I hit sticker shock on the very first meal. $20 for fish and chips? This new America is a real kick in the pants.
Sonny has started to become somewhat of an Anthony Bourdain for me. He loves knowing the cultural significance of the dishes he eats while also eating them just to eat them. When he has any 2nd thoughts or trying something, tries it as to not offend those offering it.
He said that he was immensely inspired by Andrew Zimmern and Anthony Bourdain (my favourites too). It’s a no brainier that he is so much similar to them when it comes to food!
@neshwhat702 They're 2 great inspirations when it comes to food traveling shows. Like Mark Wiens and Mike Chen, wish Mike would go back to his old-style format. At 4 minutes the question was how often does Ramsay go to the restaurants. I did a culinary trip to Vegas one year and was randomly there at the same time Ramsay was. I know that he was at 3 different ones on 3 different days. He may have doubled up on those days, but I saw him at Burger, Ramsay Steak, and the Pub & Grille.
Nice to watch a UA-camr who is both knowledgeable and fair in the review, rather than trying to be controversial and too smart. Good job, I will subscribe 👍
I appreciate Ramsay because I've cooked a bunch of his recipes and they are fairly easy to make and taste great. Every restaurant of his I've visited has been excellent.
OMG, Sonny, that is GENIUS! Gordon has a sense of humor and I bet you could get him to do a show where he tastes the same items from his restaurants and others and rates them. That would be a sell-out!!

I love the idea of having Gordon Ramsay taste his own food not knowing it is his own food, just to see what his reaction is. I'd pay good money for that as well! LOL
Gordon is actually really fair, when evaluating food, it's just that he is very savage with bad food, but especially with people he does not hold to the standard of a professional chef he is quite nice. He just loves food and how it is made and won't tolerate chefs that don't
He loves drama. Yes he isn't a bad guy, but he knows how to create drama. If he walked into a restaurant and saw the prices he charges he would tell them they are too high. He is a bit of a hypocrite
@@libertybelllocks7476 not my point entirely. His attitude is not acceptable outside of a staged environment. It is a mystery to me how people in the gastronomic industry accept such very common behaviour. Tradition I guess.

Newsflash, it aint some thing where you are just "im very calm and this is what you do" Real life aint a movie. Yes! Definitely gotta come to the UK (but not just London- Manchester, York, the Cotswolds and other parts of England have fantastic food! Not to mention some great food in Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland).
I'd pay to see that show you talked about, Sonny, where Gordon hates on his own food not knowing it's his.....super fun and great idea! Another awesome upload, Sonny and crew, thank you!!!! Lots of love. xo
Really glad to see you do this one. I watch both this and GR's shows a lot. Always thought making a trip to LV from Oregon, for a meal at Hell's Kitchen, would be worth the trip. Also, never had a Beef Wellington, and it sounds like a winner. With Sonny's review, this show just made me want to make that special trip down to Las Vegas even more.
This is not just a food & travel channel ....This is a cultural documentary that makes me appreciate our planet and I will support this channel till I'm an old woman. 🥰🥰🥰
From the other comments here it seems there are reasonable prices for Vegas restaurants. No point comparing the prices to your local café. And if Hell's Kitchen is fully booked a week in advance, why would he even consider charging less?
Yeah I went to Vegas on Thanksgiving in 2014 and was absolutely shocked how expensive all of the restaurants were. I had always heard the myth about how cheap the food and hotels were to lure you into gamble and was taken aback by the prices of absolutely everything on the strip. I stayed at the Mirage and had Thanksgiving dinner at one of the restaurants in the casino and spent over 400 dollars for me, my wife, her sister, and my 2 year old. From this point of view, spending 250.00 on a dinner at HK for me and my wife in Vegas would seem like a bargain. Its not like we're going to be eating there once a week.
Sonny ! Definitely would love to watch an episode in England. My wife lived there for 2 years and she always tells me about the food. Nothing better than to see you going there and reviewing some food. Love your videos always.
Sticky toffee pudding is my favourite dessert, I didn't know Gordon's programmes had made it famous outside of the UK. Please do review food in England, but also Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland + Republic of Ireland. I would greatly enjoy seeing a nice, unbiased/positive look through some of our traditional meals and also some more modern ones in London. Obviously also try Chicken tikka masala if you haven't already! Contrary to what outsiders believe, it is a British dish and was made in Scotland by an immigrant (I believe a Bengali man but I do not know for sure and do not want to get any places in/around India confused.). Definitely focus on our wide array of seafood, even I have not tried it all and it interests me greatly. Oh and I know you will enjoy all of our other desserts because, they mostly consist of fruit, cream, meringue or sponge.
I do appreciate that Ramsay has restaurants for all budgets, so his food, even if it is just fish n chips, is approachable. I've eaten at one of his street burger shops in London, and although not cheap, it was still affordable enough for this humble bloke from Australia to try it, and that's commendable.
Ramsay doesn't do food for ALL budgets, it's all expensive. I got a much better more authentic fish and chips in London for £10 including tax, with proper chips. Ramsay is a brand and people who tend to eat at his places are tourists mainly.
@@Justgregular88 I'm NOT mad little Aussie boy, just pointing out facts that Ramsay doesn't operate budget restaurants. And i'm definitely NOT poor, how (through your computer and keyboard) did you decide i was poor, i'm far from poor.
After inspecting closely on frame @ 13:44 the zoom in with the piece of wellington picked up by the fork. There seems to be a hair.. off to the right hand side peeking off, twards the middle vertically.
If you do decide to go to the UK for fish n chips i would recommend trying The Magpie Cafe in Whitby ,Yorkshire. Thank you for all your videos and hard work Sonny and team members.
You need to head to the North of the UK for food if you come over, and certainly do if you want a proper chippy (fish and chip shop) Manchester,Merseyside Yorkshire, Scotland... Not just London
$37 for Shepherd’s Pie? That’s insane. Though London has some great restaurants, a lot of them are rip offs and chains. Go outside in the countryside to find real traditional fare at more normal prices and hopefully you have good researchers.
Sonny you should definitely!! Come to the UK 🇬🇧 starting in London and exploring the rest of the country. Such a great and huge food scene in London with some epic food markets.
Very good video. I have eaten (several times) at all of those restaurants and the other 3 as well. They all have something a little different, and for the most part, I am always happy when I leave, The best part for me is they all have a variation on Sticky Toffee Pudding. From standard to the toffee pudding pops. Overall, my favorite of them is "Ramseys Kitchen" at Harrah's.
I have been wanting a Welli for a while because I have watched these shows ever since they've broadcasted it. I missed his restaurant in NYC by a few minutes. Maybe one day?
Great show... AS ALWAYS☺️ I wanted to know if it were possible to go to do a show in somewhere like Greece or Turkey or Scotland? I don't know... I've never seen a food show that talks about what is eaten in those areas. I feel you and your team will make it educational as well as entertaining.
You really must come to London and all of the UK. There's huge scope in all parts of the country for great food and great content. You must have noticed that Mike Chen keeps coming back for the great food. Btw - call that fish and chips? You need a whole fillet of cod or haddock the size of a whale. I accept that Gordon has Americanised it into the little bites of fish that Americans are used to, though.
Lmao you described it perfectly with the fish and chips, I couldn't word it exactly but yeah it was like looking at chicken nuggets in fish form, also why the heck they deep fry the lobster tail?
Wow, fish and chips looked great, shrimp was huge, second place ( pub ) scorched Egg looked good, Shepherd pie looked good ,price was HIGH, Hell's kitchen - Beef Wellington looked amazing... THANKS FOR INVITING US ALONG, VERY MUCH APPRECIATED...😏
Was just at HK a couple weeks ago. Wife had Lobster risotto and i had the beef wellington. Risotto was quite good. Wellington was fine but not worth 73.
I'm a duel citizen US/UK. I've spent a few years traveling all over the UK and Ireland. When I stayed in Glasgow, my great aunt would make me Scotch Eggs every morning. She insisted I carry two of them when I was out adventurering. I was always grateful they were in my bag.
As one with strong British family ties this was...hard to watch. So much humblefolk food upmarketed with rich people stink all over it, saved only by Sonny's upbeat personality.
Love your videos......Don't know if anyone caught it or not, but the quick edit of the hair or just a crack in the pastry that he didn't like on the Beef Wellington.......13:40
Yeah you should defo go to the UK. We have some of the best cheese, beer, pies, sausage and curries in the world. I would recommend eating authentic Black pudding, haggis, scotch eggs, steak and kidney pies, pork pies, jellied eels, stilton, red Leicester and cheddar cheese (the real cheddar not the fake American version), shepherds pie, Scouse, hot cross buns, crumpets, fish pie, fish and chips, tikka masala and of course the full English if you want to experience the entire range of British cuisine. I live in Liverpool and would happily show you around, our food does not get the credit it deserves, the Christmas market is currently here also and is a really incredible experience
I wish they would bring back Hell's kitchen. Beef Wellington and the Risotto would eventually send many people home. All of this food looked amazing, thanks for the tour!!
I happen to just return from Las Vegas and I have to say this 1) Fish and Chip is very well done, if they exist in my country, I would probably visit them quite often despite I never like fish and chip in my entire life. 2) I was however disappointed in Hell Kitchen. The food taste average and even the famous sticky toffee pudding was too sweet and disappointing. I regret recommanding it to 3 of my family member who share the same opinion and we had a lot of left over. 3) I was surprise by the different in quality when I eventually went to Ramsay's Kitchen, it was very different and tasty to every bite. We did not intend to order dessert but the server gave us a free sticky toffee pudding. The quality was totally different from Hell Kitchen and I enjoy every single bit of it to the last drop. Gordon should go check on his Hell Kitchen! It should have the same standard as his Ramsay's Kitchen.
Please review London/England food. Besides the food Gordon Ramsey promotes for that culture, I’ve heard England doesn’t have the greatest food. I could be completely wrong because I’ve never been, but a lot of people say it’s nothing special. That would be a fun show to watch.

@@libertybelllocks7476 not my point entirely. His attitude is not acceptable outside of a staged environment. It is a mystery to me how people in the gastronomic industry accept such very common behaviour. Tradition I guess.
@@LarsEckert_Molimo What do you mean accept the behavior? How many intense situations have you been in exactly?? Newsflash, it aint some thing where you are just "im very calm and this is what you do"
Real life aint a movie. Ramsay, while going to the top, has to also think about his business and what that means for his family and the people employed. One bad night is ruin.
Stakes are higher at higher levels. Which means stress is elevated.
Go to any person at the pinnacle of their industry, especially if they have to deal with people. IT isnt a nice thing trying to be the best.
Lol. Thats like saying MJ was too mean on the basketball court and how could anyone so professional do such a thing.
Get out of your movie script and observe life a bit. Maybe even participate in some high intense situations.
I bet you think Wolfgang Puck was a choir boy during his peak too. Lmao. Delusional.
@@libertybelllocks7476 Been in too many intense situations as an occupational therapist. I changed my attitude to be more chill now. Best decision of my life. Life is too short to blow your top with children with special needs 100% of the time. Thank goodness I changed my perspective
I swear to God I thought the host was William Zabka ( Cobra Kai Jonny Lawrence) for a minute there.
That's where I thought I knew him from!
Me too. Just for the fish and chips 😊
This is not just a food & travel channel ....This is a cultural documentary that makes me appreciate our planet and I will support this channel till I'm an old woman. 🥰🥰🥰
Post your stereotypical shit on another channel or I will straight hassle you until you’re an old woman.
video starts at 1:15
Thank you gangy
I've realised I'd always go with the mid-tier option as the most enjoyable one in these videos
Sonny's wife is probably expecting, cause Sonny is mastering his dad's jokes
The prices are definitely not worth it but most things in Las Vegas are overpriced and absolutely not worth it lol 😂
Did she enjoy the food?
Great video ! Loved your humor but appreciate getting to experience the delicious food
This video was exactly what was needed. Thank you!
Yessss as well the british curry house Korma, absolutely nothing like the Bengali, Indian and Pakistani counterparts
@@charlesjay8818 don't get mad at me because you're poor
@@Justgregular88don't say like that to anyone because you never know one day all your wealths will be gone..
@@Justgregular88 I'm NOT mad little Aussie boy, just pointing out facts that Ramsay doesn't operate budget restaurants. And i'm definitely NOT poor, how (through your computer and keyboard) did you decide i was poor, i'm far from poor.
@@charlesjay8818 calm down mate, it'll be ok
What he said at 1:35 😂😂
That bread on the grilled cheese was toasted perfectly 🤌🏽 exquisite
After inspecting closely on frame @ 13:44 the zoom in with the piece of wellington picked up by the fork. There seems to be a hair.. off to the right hand side peeking off, twards the middle vertically.
He never fails to give us quality content ❤
You mean sonny ? 🐂 💩
@@samsousa3325 yes
If you do decide to go to the UK for fish n chips i would recommend trying The Magpie Cafe in Whitby ,Yorkshire. Thank you for all your videos and hard work Sonny and team members.
You need to head to the North of the UK for food if you come over, and certainly do if you want a proper chippy (fish and chip shop) Manchester,Merseyside Yorkshire, Scotland... Not just London
The way Hell's Kitchen plated the romesco sauce and jus for the lamb dish was absolutely gorgeous.
When he said, “ I’ve had like 3 risotto’s” it reminded me why he’s my favorite!!!!! 😅
Those prices are completely insane. None of those foods are worth anything close to those outrageous prices.
It’s Las Vegas.
Agreed!!
You need to get out the house more. That’s the world we live in now unfortunately. Get over it.
Sure, completely insane, but it is full ahead many weeks and the food IS worth because of the quality, experience and more.
A wealthy individual would say "That's cheap"
I'm a huge fan of Gordon's since his 'Boiling Point' British tv series, and now i am a huge fan of you, Sonny!😅
😂 The "This is a demi.....glaze." got me...😂
As an extreme Ramsay fan (and Sonny), I approve of this EPISODE !!
Dude, you had everything on the menu that I've been craving at HK. 😊
Battering and deep frying lobster is a criminal offence in the maritimes…omg. 😆😆😆😆
I have been wanting a Welli for a while because I have watched these shows ever since they've broadcasted it. I missed his restaurant in NYC by a few minutes. Maybe one day?
Great show... AS ALWAYS☺️
I wanted to know if it were possible to go to do a show in somewhere like Greece or Turkey or Scotland?
@@rustyhowe3907 In Baja California they deep fry lobster and it's the best you'll ever have.
20 Bucks for an egg? Ill be damned...
Welcome to Vegas!
"It sounds like it has good credit."
That shit killed me!
Wow, fish and chips looked great, shrimp was huge, second place ( pub ) scorched
Egg looked good, Shepherd pie looked good ,price was HIGH, Hell's kitchen - Beef
Wellington looked amazing...
THANKS FOR INVITING US ALONG, VERY
MUCH APPRECIATED...😏
Yeah was it $37 for the shepherd’s pie? (and probably a 15-20% tip on top of that?) Crikey. I think I’ll stay here in the UK.
I've never received a video feed with 0 views. feeling special being the first person to watch this video
🎉👏
Almost $40 for a shepherds pie is ROBBERY. That's like almost $50 CAD.
Scotch Egg recipe looks like exact replica of Devils Egg we make in Bengal,India as a street food..and serve with chutney
Was just at HK a couple weeks ago. Wife had Lobster risotto and i had the beef wellington. Risotto was quite good. Wellington was fine but not worth 73.
Yes come to England and have fun with the vast range of different culture foods both cheap and expensive to weird and wonderful.😊😊
I'm a duel citizen US/UK. I've spent a few years traveling all over the UK and Ireland. When I stayed in Glasgow, my great aunt would make me Scotch Eggs every morning. She insisted I carry two of them when I was out adventurering. I was always grateful they were in my bag.
Next time you go to Vegas check out Jaburrito! Sushi burritos in rice paper 🔥!
As a brit Im offended how expensive that scotch egg was
I felt a pain in my soul on seeing that pricing.
Im so excited for this 😂🎉🎉🎉 GR just opened one at Foxwoods and im very curious
As one with strong British family ties this was...hard to watch.
So much humblefolk food upmarketed with rich people stink all over it, saved only by Sonny's upbeat personality.
Did anyone else notice the small detail at 5:23? It’s so cool!
“Let me know downstairs in the comments” made me laugh for the rest of the episode
Def got to try that Wellington!
Hella funny! Could not find anything bad in any restaurant 😂😂😂😂
Need to come to London to try fish and chips. Birmingham for the Curry and need to check out the bull ring too
The world needs more people like you. Thank you for your kind words!
Yes! I’d love to see you in London!!!
if you say "its all about the batter" with lobster, you know that lobster was crap.
Please go on a uk pub tour in different towns and try random foods and beers. You’ll meet some great characters along the journey it won’t disappoint
putting GORDON RAMSAY'S MEET DIRECT IN MY MOUTH 😂😂
20 dollars for fish and chips. Sounds about right for the prices in America.
I wish they would bring back Hell's kitchen. Beef Wellington and the Risotto would eventually send many people home. All of this food looked amazing, thanks for the tour!!
I happen to just return from Las Vegas and I have to say this
1) Fish and Chip is very well done, if they exist in my country, I would probably visit them quite often despite I never like fish and chip in my entire life.
Brits don't use tarter sauce for fish n chips, they use malt vinegar and salt.
@ 6:46 hahaha a Scotch egg for $17.99. Omg in the Philippines 🇵🇭 that 👀 looks like Quek Quek a street food.
Definitely want to see you do a food review in London ❤❤❤
Please review London/England food. Besides the food Gordon Ramsey promotes for that culture, I’ve heard England doesn’t have the greatest food. I could be completely wrong because I’ve never been, but a lot of people say it’s nothing special. That would be a fun show to watch.
''Ive never seen a carrot with balls'' LMAO!
