The tour guide was excellent - very at home with explaining things to the children.

This is a lovely film - we also enjoy watching your children grow up! Re. activities, the Tudor house and garden also has a self guided walk round the medieval town walls of Southampton which would be good for history. Also Manor Farm (Pyland's Ln, Southampton SO31 1BH) looks like great children's activities. Keep up the good work!

Hi Lillian. Another great video. Perhaps you have already been there, but The Isle of Wight is nearby. Take the kids to Alum Bay to collect different shades of sand. I did this once when I was a boy, and i remember enjoying it very much. Plus there is Osbourne House, one of Queen Victoria's residences. Loads of walks and rambles as well.

Glad to see new residents taking an interest in local history in Southampton. Hopefully it is here to stay and won’t be replaced with student accommodation and casinos as with the rest of Southampton!

i have mentioned before that you should visit Exbury Gardens in The New Forest, it was the home of Lord Rothschild, lovely house and the gardens have a model train that you ride on to see the grounds, and while in the area visit Lepe beach which has WW11 historical interest

To expand floor space in this style of home the 2nd or upper floors extended beyond the ground floor walls just FYI, thanks for the video folks.

And if you'd looked over the walls in late July, 1620, you'd have seen the _Mayflower_ , moored up and awaiting the arrival of her sister ship _Speedwell_ . Even some Americans have heard of the former, I gather ;-)

Haven’t time to watch this at the moment but an image of one or both should be on your screen shot of the video. It is your logo and trade mark. :-)

The Tudors had a very slim right to the throne of England, as a result, they were a violent regime. Christian places of worship were violated and their contents were stolen for the good of the last two Tudor monarchs.
