- For years we’ve walked by the Pig in the Wall without visiting! It’s actually quite difficult to get rooms as there are only 12 in total! But we made it! Here’s our experience of an overnight stay with breakfast. We stayed in a snug room in the eaves and it was certainly unique! I’ll also show you the location, parking situation and other rooms available. Would you stay here?
And now, time to embark our cruise ship ready for a 2 week Mediterranean cruise! Follow along!

Come with me and explore this Boutique per-cruise Hotel in Southampton UK! I won’t be watching watching the Premiere live with you as I will be at sea, but I’ll catch up with all your comments as soon as I’m back on dry land ❤
Thank you for sharing! You're the first to give people a good look inside. I've got a Princess cruise this summer out of Southampton and was struggling with where to stay. This was high on my list, but I thought better of it and booked the Holiday Inn on Herbert Walker. I would love to stay at the Pig in the Wall. My husband definitely would not. Maybe we'll stop in for lunch.
You’re welcome! I’d definitely recommend lunch here at the least!
The Leonardo opposite is a good choice
We love to visit Pig for drink and food
@@lh7501 it’s one of our regulars
Hi Jamie. I called at the Pig in the Wall on my way back to the Holiday Inn as I was sailing on the Britannia the next day 30/06/. I was mesmerised when I walked in. Ordered Carrot cake and Latte. A bit on the pricey side but it was yummy. Staff were all friendly.
It’s a really fabulous venue ❤️
Oh it looks lovely! We booked one of the spacious rooms. Looks like we got a pretty good price too compared to the “from” price on the hotel webpage you showed in your video!
It looks a lovely way to start a cruise holiday. Breakfast looks pretty good too
It’s one of those hotels, again, where prices can fluctuate wildly! We loved it
@@TravelBlogJamie the algorithms, the algorithms! We love boutique hotels, more character and feels like a treat. Nothing wrong with a decent Premier Inn, which has its time and place, but we want to start our first cruise off with an overnight stay that is a bit extra!
What a fabulous hotel. I’ve passed this hotel a few times and wondered what it’s like. It’s beautiful. We stayed in the White Star Tavern a week ago in Oxford St and it was great. Lovely hotel and lovely staff. There’s something about a boutique style hotel the others just can’t offer.
Ah the white star is indeed very nice too!
Love the room, very quirky, but knowing my luck I would be constantly banging my head. But I'd definitely try staying there
Loved it here
Oh no! After watching your review of the Southampton Harbour Hotel I thought I had made up my mind on where to stay for my QM2 sailing from Southampton next spring. But now I want to stay at the Pig in the Wall! Looks like I'll have to book a second cruise soon. :)
Or a night on your return to Southampton?!
Such a lovely place, full of rustic charm
It really is!
Oh and have an excellent cruise Jaimie x
Thank you 🙏
The hotel looks amazing Jamie x I would definitely stay there ha ❤
I love this one ❤️
When speaking about a small grade-listed property, I think Hyacinth Bucket said it best: ‘Old World Bijou!’.
True story
Pig, pigs, piggy, piggy pigs!
My wife and I are staying in that very room for 2 nights before we depart on the Arcadia for a 12 night cruise to Norway. Is the hotel within walking distance to the P&O pier? Btw, we are Australian and neither one of us has visited the UK before.
It’s within walking distance of city cruise / ocean cruise terminal ❤️ Hope you have the best time!
Looks lovely. Does grate on me having to pay for parking at hotels however...especially ones that are on the pricier side!
And in Southampton they really do sting you for it!

HelloJamie, Thank you for the revew. Do you know if all of the rooms have air conditioning or if just some of them do? I reached out to the hotel and received a generic reply to please call them If they can assit.
I’m really sorry I’m not sure - every room is unique so I wouldn’t like to second guess this
I actually have no interest in staying at this place but Jamie is so entertaining I watched the whole way through 😅
😂😂😂😂
That's lush ❤❤
It’s a gorgeous place to stay
@@TravelBlogJamie looks it Jamie, do cruises sail at tea time ish lol. 😊

@Travel Blog Jamie ahh that's cool, thanks for info, I'm travelling from Oxfordshire so a tea time cruise would be ideal for me 😊
