This might be the best freaking grill set up i have ever seen. Hats off.
Thank you! It’s definitely more work and harder to control the heat but the results and learning experience are worth it!
Agreed 💯…. Very cool set up…
@@fireandfatdid you have it made for you? Do you mind sharing the spec? Steel used, dimensions etc. is an amazing set up. Would love to replicate! ❤❤
Can't stop watching this video.
😊
Love the grill setup, definitely something that I'd like to have in the future!
Typical Argentinian or Uruguayan grill. Best to use with wood or large chunks of coal
@@5porteno thanks for the explanation, appreciate it
Looked rather new and unused, even for Stainless steel; rather a lot of flames for my own taste, I prefer to cook over embers rather than flames, good to have an area without embers where the meat cannot be burned in the event of any flare-ups. It’s also worth having one end of the grill elevated more than the other, either by having the legs at one end either longer or propped up on eg a fire brick, so the heat can be controlled.
FINALLY!!! the BEST steak i have seen! It doesnt look like a bloody mess! its the most perfect Med Well i have ever seen! THANK YOU!!!
True!!
Well done is the best I hate bloody steak
@VANGANG Vinny da bull ::
Man ! I "hear" you ! I use to like it well-done ... but then I had it cooked a little less and I could taste why some people feel the taste is ruined if too well-done. The textures are totally different ( rare/medium rare/medium-well ... ) This one was perfect.
Durdy Beats ::
I totally agree !
"FINALLY!!!"
Durdy Beats :: I don't know if you've heard of AlmazanKitchen on YT. I just discovered it. They cook in the forests/jungles. It is the most super-peaceful cooking videos I've ever seen. No voice-overs ; no narrators ; no music ; peaceful forest "music" ( birds chirping, an owl making an occasional appearance ). It's the best cooking video (s) you will ever see ! The food looks super fine ! 👌
Very nice and grill is well thought out/constructed for sure!!! but BRO to WELL DONE for such a nice cut of meat LOL
I like your style
Hey, that doneness is just nice for me. Good job.
very cool setup
Perfect setup. Fireproof materials all around. Easily accessible to embers and for cleanup. Nicely done.
Thank you very much!
way to go dude. love the video. no words, just action. very different from other videos with so much talking and talking. this one has only the sounds of grilling. I love it. thanks
That is one very interesting set up
Nice work mate (clean set-up as well) - subbed
Beautiful!
Thanks! 😊
Thanks for sharing! You’ll perfect your technique with practice. Congratulations on your set up, looks very cool.
It looks more done than I would but I love the video. Great technique and I would definitely be eating that steak
I think it would’ve been cooked perfectly if you would’ve thrown the steaks on after you had moved all the burning wood under the grill. Nonetheless it’s a good looking steak, it’s medium well but it looks tender, juicy, and evenly cooked 🔥
Thank you 🙏
@Fire and Fat ::
Those steaks were perfectly cooked and not too red ‼️ We all saw how tender they were ... so easy to cut ‼️ I'm definitely going to try your technique. Great demonstration ‼️
100% for me looks great. I’m sure I taste better.
Sizzling steaks are the best ASMR
Dog at 3:46 wants a piece. 😂😂😂😂
Love this cooking technique
Good luck with this channel man!!
💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻
the absolute best way to cook a solid steak ! awesome
Great Video!!
That’s exactly how I like my steak cooked. Good job!
If you put the grate on some sort of an adjustable height. Would work excellent.
Yes! Hopefully someday soon!
I like that color on that steak thats how ill eat my steak
Nice herbs
Totally awesome set up, I will be honest mate, Im gonna replicate it, thank you.
Do it it’ll be awesome!
Looks so tender and juicy from the flame sealing in all those juices and flavor of the direct flame and smoke
🙏
This is a typical "Asado" setup in Argentina. Solid method of cooking meat, although I prefer mine medium are.
Finally! A steak cooked to medium, not raw like virtually every other cook video. That's the way I like it too, but we are a minority. Thanks!
It's medium well. He over cooked it.
@@GT1Vette Medium well is great-just slightly pink inside-perfect!
As far as you are concerned it's over cooked, to someone else it might be perfect.
@@DESCENDINGDR what a shame
@@DESCENDINGDRagreed…. Taste is an individual preference….
looks great … bet the char on the meat tastes great
Perfect. 👌🏾
2:30 I wonder how many ashes you got in the butter?
😂 luckily it still tasted great even with the ash 😅
That's a perfect fuckin steak
Buddy burning that thang up!
Two hour later!
Well done!
For a set up like that, i would have used WAY more hot coals and got that grate way hotter before throwing them on. When cooking a steak, its a delicate balancing act. You need enough heat to form the outter crust and cook it to doneness. If your heat is too light, youll never get the nice crust and it can cook unevenly, etc. A ribeye should be cooked hot and fast in most cases/set-ups. And use a therma-pro meat thermometer and dont let it heat past 125⁰F internal temp while on the cooking surface. Any temp beyond 125⁰F over cooks it and destroys the flavor, tenderness, moisture, etc.
Nice 1 dude
Thanks!
Should be cooking, using hot embers, not an open flame. It will deposit a sooty chard taste on the meat.
Perfect
Absolutely Awesome!!!
Perfect hate steak raw inside.
What Is the herb? I use many, but I'd like to know what herb you used here for the brush....BTW amazing video...
I used rosemary, thyme and oregano. Thanks for watching!
that meat was killed twice, cooked perfectly for the trashbin
💀💀💀
I enjoyed watching this. Everything looks brand new. Was this the first cook on your setup?
Yes it was! Still learning and getting used to it
Perfection
Us medium rare eaters are cringing at this video. But appreciate and enjoy your videos!
Wow! What did those set you back, $60???
They’re a bit cheaper if you get them at costco
so, overcooked then right?
Dig it. Do you wish you’d waited to start cooking till you had all the embers and it was super hot?
Yeah the idea was to try and impart more smoke flavor from the oak by starting slower over a small amount of embers but I think I might need the grill placed higher or use a smaller amount in the beginning.
Esta gente hace la carne como la suela de los zapatos. Que manera de cargarse un estupendo entrecot.
Rosemary , thyme, and what was the third herb? Wonderful!
Oregano!
@@fireandfat sage
You killed it😢
What type of wood is that ? Thanks
Oak
Looks like she’s five minutes too long on the heat. There’s a definite art to getting a steak juuuust riiight!.
Still getting used to cooking with embers 😅
Probably still tasted good, but yeah…5 minutes turns an amazing steak into a good one.
Bubble O Bill ::
I'm not an expert, but that is exactly what I thought ( he's cooking it too long and especially over a direct, high flame. I was hoping he would cut it so we could see ... it looked perfect ... not overcooked ... It's not too red ( perfect color ... I don't like really red meat ) ; it was so easy to cut ... very tender [ soft ]. I'm sure it melted when he started to eat it. His technique was different from others I've seen.
Great job ‼️
But a rib-eye is not as mercyless as a rump or a filet..
You need to get your fire hotter next time.
Seems like he started way too soon.
Thanks for posting. A good method, however putting the meat on a cold grill and then heating it up is a fatal flaw. The meat takes ages to cook, squeezes out the juice and ends up being tough.
What wood did you use
Oak 🪵
NIce setup!
Thanks!
You do have a very nice set up.
looks amazing, but you should create a minimized firing chamber when grilling 1 or two steaks in order to get more heat, and use less fuel, not only for environment, but also time and efficiency. ALMOST all grills are way too large for their purpose. Enjoy the beautiful steak!
Totally agree! I did grill more (not shown) and roasted some sweet potatoes in the leftover embers but generally there is definitely more waste when filming. Hopefully I can get better and more efficient because like you said it is time consuming and good wood can get expensive. Thanks for watching!
Great steak!!!! You see a lot of those type of grille setups in Europe, I closed wood grilles it’s also a great way to cook whole fish skin on of course, would love to see you cook a sea bass or snapper like that. cheers🎉 great video
👍👍😋😋😋

Thank you!
Good looking steak but the knife is not very sharp . . .
Try it with just salt, stop with butter, the herb brush whatever.. it caused the flare ups and the un needed burning.. it’s possibly carcinogenic too! Just salt it ,let it cook.. no flames under it , & for me.. it’s simply cremated.. Uhg. nice grill though ..
Overcooked!
Way to brush the salt off the top before actually cooking it into the meat❤
Over done should have gone indirect for a while
cool video but that would be overcooked for me.
Pity about the ash in the garlic butter and on the steaks....!?
Use of direct heat way off. Use of coals way off. If you wanted medium to well done, you succeeded.
Wood is such a pain in the ass. There's a certain charm to using it, but it's clearly not for me like 90% of the time.
I feel like it's time consuming.
It’s definitely a labor of love
Medium well perfection!
Unfortunate that such a nice ribeye was cooked to a shoe, but we all get better by making mistakes and learning for the next time.
it was a little more than I would do but call it a shoe is just hate
😂😂😂
Ruined Ribeye...unless one likes it grey well done, and then, what's the point?
No he cooked it perfectly
That is pretty overcooked
I found the lack of an appropriate sound track as well as his hairless arms disconcerting.
Not sure what you're desired doneness is for steak but I prefer mine medium rare. Your steak was a medium.
Nice video. But this is anything but neither cooking nor grilling.
Over cooked, grill was not hot enough when you put steak on, no need to constantly bast steak it’s not chicken, waste of good fire
Te ver door gebakken.
overcooked 😥
Over cooked, started too slow
Overcooked. Sad
Over cooked it
First thing I thought
Thats the best template with ribeye the fat had time to cook in with the meat
Bruh is just lighting
@@racerxhewett4402 bruh, it is just the lighting.
Still overcooked. That’s medium well looking, even with the funky lighting.
wasted ‼️
What an amateur
Over cooked and the butter is burned
It’s not overcooked , it’s medium. To each is own of what temp it is of when to take it off the grill .
True, but it's medium well. Maybe it was medium when you took it off the flame but it continues to cook a bit when it's resting.
looks slightly overcooked
nice grill but you damn sure don't know how to use it , why you flip the steak when its grey ...smh
Overcooked...
Nice setup poor execution
That look good i hate bloody steak
As if no one has ever grilled a steak like this before.
