My versions are so much the same.
Consider using a #10 or smaller (thinner) beading needle, from a sewing store.
Consider using Aleene's Flexible Stretchable fabric cement. Has MORE stretch and flex. Cleans up water.
Most important (you may well didagree) Silicone continues to have a strong fish repelling odor even after curing. Is it acidic acid?
Fabric cement is either without odar or it smells good rather than bad.
