    Also I love how all those menus clearly label what they have that is vegan. In america, most places are lacking that sort of clarity. I still put in the effort and always check ingredients because it's the right thing to do, but I'm envious of other places that make it more effortless. I cant wait for culture to catch up and menus and tags on store shelves will have little "v's" everywhere. The future is vEGAN

      @ciga daze worried about faeces and bugs in your food? Probs don't eat animals then, because they live in it. Look up how much pus is in animal milk too, you might be surprised

      Exactly I was surprised! In NY there’s lots of vegan option if you look but it’s hardly ever labeled “vegan”

      @wennellen 5 років тому +9

      @ciga daze just by existing we are causing some harm. The idea is to limit that harm as much as practically possible. Do you think that because you might step on an ant while walking on the sidewalk, that it justifies purposely hurting animals and causing the maximum amount of harm? Why are you against people wanting to limit their contribution to animal suffering?

      You’re pretty ridiculous. The entire premise around veganism is contributing to the LEAST AMOUNT OF DELIBERATE HARM. What you do by eating animals is supporting the MOST harm and cruelty imaginable. AND- 91% of the crops grown are fed to the ANIMALS YOU eat so vegans are still contributing WAY less to any type of negativity in this world.
      You cannot rebutt that by talks of insects, lol.
      (And I am sure you consume pastas and rice and all of that as well so please, do not try and be high and mighty by talking about what vegans do...🤦🏻‍♀️).

    That end bit with the cow, I always thought that was really sweet, and last week I got to do it :D We were hiking past a field and I stopped to say hi to the cows. One was really curious and came over, I ended up scratching her head and she was absolutely loving it! She licked my nose haha ....I felt so sad inside that I'd ever been a meat eater but was so elated from the experience that I feel like after being vegan for nearly 2 years I've started to forgive myself, and maybe the cows have too.

      I'm starting to realize that vegans are in tune with love more than many Christians. I say this respectfully to My Christian bros and sisters. I'm a believer and almost vegan. I say almost because it's taking some adjustments,nothing major just breaking bad habits and undoing the brainwashing effect but it's easy for Me because i'm the kind of person who stops and talks to deer, cows, chickens..i love all non pray animals.

      Hormones and diet: low insulin-like growth factor-I but normal bioavailable androgens in vegan men.
      "Mean serum insulin-like growth factor-I was 9% lower in 233 vegan men than in 226 meat-eaters and 237 vegetarians (P = 0.002)."
      "Vegans had higher testosterone levels than vegetarians and meat-eaters"
      "Chan et al (1998) found that men who subsequently developed prostate cancer had 8% higher serum IGF-I concentrations than men who remained healthy, suggesting that the 9% difference we observed is large enough to significantly alter prostate cancer risk."

    Indian: coconut curry, lentil dal (beware of ghee / butter)
    Pizza: RARELY, honey or Parmesan will be in the dough. I have a secret stash of nooch in my purse for cheeseless pizza, hah! Just order red sauce, no cheese and tons of veggies, good to go

      Let's just call things what they are. When a man's love of finery clouds his moral judgment, that is vanity. When he lets a demanding palate make his moral choices, that is gluttony. When he ascribes the divine will to his own whims, that is pride. And when he gets angry at being reminded of animal suffering that his own daily choices might help avoid, that is moral cowardice.

    Does Joey also recommend animal free-medication?. Because the top 25 most prescribed drugs have all had animal testing involved. So, if you're taking drugs for asthma, enlarged thyroid, high cholesterol, heartburn, diabetes, depression, ADHD, anxiety, arthritis, dementia, erectile dysfunction, allergies, hypertension or pain relief what then?...

    • @corpsekresser243
      @corpsekresser243 5 років тому +1

      Most of those conditions are cured with a whole foods plant-based diet (which is vegan) so you won't have to take animal based drugs if you are careful with your diet.
      But to answer your question, no Joey does not recommend animal free medication if you actually need it. The definition of veganism is to avoid animal exploitation where possible and practical - so medication is a clear case where it is not possible. Therefore you can take animal based medicine, and still consider yourself a vegan going by the official definition.

America has a long way to go but they are getting there. I still will never understand how people are aware of the suffering they cause animals by eating them and supporting, paying to fund this torture. It makes me sick. Once I found out I never ever touched meat or dairy again & I never will. Vegan now almost 3 years! I find myself getting angry a lot at others for choosing meat & dairy when we have so many other options in this day & age. It affects my relationships. I live in Canada now but I'm from a small town in New Zealand where there were almost no vegan options. I used to drive half an hour to my favourite restaurant which was actually a mostly fried chicken restaurant but their vegan options are amazing. Almost all of their salads are vegan and they're always super creative, the BBQ jackfruit burger, kimchi and mayo loaded fries are all so good. My favourite meal there is actually just combining sides: The fried shrooms with vegan mayo and the charred greens with garlic, chilli and almonds was my favourite thing. I can't wait to visit so I can have it all again!
