Does Joey also recommend animal free-medication?. Because the top 25 most prescribed drugs have all had animal testing involved. So, if you're taking drugs for asthma, enlarged thyroid, high cholesterol, heartburn, diabetes, depression, ADHD, anxiety, arthritis, dementia, erectile dysfunction, allergies, hypertension or pain relief what then?...
Most of those conditions are cured with a whole foods plant-based diet (which is vegan) so you won't have to take animal based drugs if you are careful with your diet. But to answer your question, no Joey does not recommend animal free medication if you actually need it. The definition of veganism is to avoid animal exploitation where possible and practical - so medication is a clear case where it is not possible. Therefore you can take animal based medicine, and still consider yourself a vegan going by the official definition.
I think now in the UK 75+% of takeaways have a vegan option, why would they not as it's good for business. If there's say a vegan and a vegetarian in a group of friends going to eat, they won't go to a place with no options - and its easy to offer.

Vegan burritos are the most satisfying, healthy, and delicious option when eating out. Simpler to order too. As long as there is no meat or cheese, you're good. My favorite restaurant (Pancho's Vegan Tacos in Las Vegas) is Mexican, and my favorite thing to order is a burrito. Handy to eat on the run too. I never get tired of them either. I always order a burrito and something else for variety.
That's completely false. For starters Loma Linda has the highest life expectancy, and they are vegan. Okinawa in Japan, has the 2nd highest, and they eat only 4% of their calories from animal products, the other 96% is sweet potato and rice, and cucumber/veg, they are almost almost vegan diet wise. And the rest of Japan does not follow this diet, and do not share their long life expectancy.
Love this! Thank you for doing all of your videos! I love your style of getting info out there. You are by far one of my favorite youtubers. Keep up the awesome work! America has a long way to go but they are getting there. I still will never understand how people are aware of the suffering they cause animals by eating them and supporting, paying to fund this torture. It makes me sick. Once I found out I never ever touched meat or dairy again & I never will. Vegan now almost 3 years! I find myself getting angry a lot at others for choosing meat & dairy when we have so many other options in this day & age. It affects my relationships. It is really sad that they still consume animals.
How awesome! The UK is definitely ahead of some parts in the US!! That said, you are sooo right! It is easy to be vegan at the food court as well as most places!❤️🌱
I live in Canada now but I'm from a small town in New Zealand where there were almost no vegan options. I used to drive half an hour to my favourite restaurant which was actually a mostly fried chicken restaurant but their vegan options are amazing. Almost all of their salads are vegan and they're always super creative, the BBQ jackfruit burger, kimchi and mayo loaded fries are all so good. My favourite meal there is actually just combining sides: The fried shrooms with vegan mayo and the charred greens with garlic, chilli and almonds was my favourite thing. I can't wait to visit so I can have it all again!

Have found Paris brilliant recently. Odd one was though that we went to a Thai place that had a vegetarian section on their menu, so, we asked if any of those vegetarian items were actually vegan. They said no because they all had fish sauce in them. We gave up trying to explain that, that made them not vegetarian either. 🙄
I feel like it's not just about having vegan options but also having vegan certification and signs to give us confidence that we're eating cruelty-free. This video shows me that things can only get better from here and I can't wait to live in a more animal friendly world!
I dig what you do, showing the way forward with your hard work, videos and how simple it is to climb out of the 'standard food' rut. You're making a difference in a big way brother and you are getting the message across, you obviously put a lot of thought into this stuff. This is your calling for sure. Standard food is a turn-off big time compared to the fresh and light and healthy and sustainable PBT (plant based tucker). You're a machine Joey, I'll send you some dough, keep up the awesome work!
Joey the Problem is a lot of fried foods are cooked in the same oils that meat and non vegan foods were cooked in. Typically a chip shop would not drain the oil and wipe down the container just for one vegetarian or vegan customer
That's what I was thinking too. Better than eating animals or their byproducts though. But if you want to be sure ( coz it's difficult in the shops) the only thing you can do is eat at home for it to be contamination free
Over in the UK y'all really have got it made!! We definitely have vegan options here in the US but I don't think if I went to the mall food court is be as lucky to find options, I definitely need to go check it out now!!
Well of course in many malls around the country possibly but where I'm from there are little to no vegan on menu options within id say 50-100 mile radius. I don't have any malls locally anyway but the last one i went to chik fil a is their main staple unless you're in much more upscale urban area. I can always find something to eat as a vegan, fries are a staple when out and about, just saying it would be wonderful to be somewhere that has on menu vegan options because where I live anyway this is definitely not the norm.
Hate to break it to you Joey but I can confidently tell you the only vegan options at my local shopping mall in Minnesota is a veggie subway sandwich , Taco Bell or a smoothie . Literally nothing labeled vegan. Midwest vegans in the U.S get jack shit when it comes to vegan labeled options at restaurants . Of course that will never stop me from continuing to be vegan but really the U.K is leaps and bounds ahead in terms of availability for vegan options . I’m always always seeing articles on vegnews , read it PRAYING that the new option can be found in Minnesota and it never is
I feel like vegan food psychologically tastes even better and is even more enjoyable when you know it doesn't come from animal suffering and murder which Joey demonstrates super well here 😊

Wow you guys have clear labels. Here in Canada you have to really look for it. When you ask the staff if there’s anything vegan none of them ever know and have to go in the back to ask.
I wish the malls here had more specifically vegan things on the menu. I'm sure we can figure it out but it'd be cool if there were sections on the menu or labeled dishes.
Bruh, I was there just a few hours ago and last week lol
But you are supporting Westfield rental space and the place is filled with LED, aircon, escalators, car parks and 1000's of staff... Construction alone goes well into the billions...
So by eating a vegan sushi from a plastic container that just counts that all out? I'm seeing a problem in your working with that math. Pause at 4:26, that's just a tiny fraction of the lights.
So we should torture animals because .... LED lights?
@@sajfen torture?
@@AliceRoche-ii2ke Yes, the animal industry is abject torture. What reasonable person would not reject that?

UA-cam sucks.
Love you, Joey! 🐄🐖🐓💖 My favorite basics:
Sushi filled with tofu, cucumber, carrot, yam, avocado, tempura veggies (ask if tempura batter is vegan ✔️)
Mexican: burrito or bed of lettuce with rice and beans, avo/guacamole, all the salsas. Then add veggies, veg cheese if available
Thai: spring rolls/ salad rolls, coconut soup with veggies and tofu, noodles (check sauces don’t contain fish sauce and beware of egg)
Indian: coconut curry, lentil dal (beware of ghee / butter)
Pizza: RARELY, honey or Parmesan will be in the dough. I have a secret stash of nooch in my purse for cheeseless pizza, hah! Just order red sauce, no cheese and tons of veggies, good to go
Then there’s always chips/fries, salad, side of veggies, side of fruit.... 👍
I love being vegan!!! :D So glad....
It'll pass. You'll feel great for a while... Then you'll start to deteriorate... First your body then your mind, hopefully it won't be too late for you !

@Ribeye Demon hahaha funny
@Ribeye Demon ofcourse the world will go plant based it's a no brainer and quite frankly it's flipping racist that people eat meat now anyway. I mean greedy people who consume meat are using water we could give to people less fortunate in Pakistan who has no water in 2019 peace

I’m so jealous of your food court. You guys have so many vegan options. haha.
Sushi is basically fish on a piece of rice. If u remove fish it's not a sushi. It's a vegetable roll.
Vegetables and fruit are so colourful too. Our eyes are designed to pickup on the colour - it attracts us. Meat is brown when cooked.
I fell in love with the vegan soups in Pret a Manger when I visited London. The tomato one is 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻.
Great video. I get overwhelmed in food courts, and with staff who don’t understand what vegan means.

Let's just call things what they are. When a man's love of finery clouds his moral judgment, that is vanity. When he lets a demanding palate make his moral choices, that is gluttony. When he ascribes the divine will to his own whims, that is pride. And when he gets angry at being reminded of animal suffering that his own daily choices might help avoid, that is moral cowardice.
“Pasta margarita pasta nepolitana” lmaooo Joey wtf Italian ears are bleeding😩😂

6:52 prêt à manger mean "ready to eat" in french..
Hi Joey, LOVED THE VIDEO💯👌🏽 U timed it right, as it doesn't look that busy there. Most of the time I go it's really busy/packed up! Nice quieter time there for th video..
@S B Holy shit, your moronic comments are everywhere. Are you ill?
Wish it was like this is France :( they don’t even label what is vegan and what isn’t
This is great. I’ll be visiting London soon.
I think now in the UK 75+% of takeaways have a vegan option, why would they not as it's good for business. If there's say a vegan and a vegetarian in a group of friends going to eat, they won't go to a place with no options - and its easy to offer.
THank you for this vid, I'm just starting out and any advice is so useful.
Thank you for making this Joey! I never knew there was so much choice at Stratford Westfield!
well you said right. infact most indian dishes which were/are vegan becoz of this cheese butter, they started using in things like dosa etc, which are originally made in oil. i fact in south india specially kerala, they use a lot of coconut and coconut oil in their food
Hey Joey, are you sure about the pho? As far as I know the pho's soup base (broth) is made from beef and chicken meat and bones, therefore it can't be vegan, even if they serve it with vegetables only.
a lot of places make a different vegan broth, just ask them
Ps, when Joey said (about the sandwiches) “they’ve got veggie and vegan” the captions said “bitchy and vegan”......... 🤣
I like seeing these, I wanna see you do all the supermarkets and restaurants, also maybe do clothing stores for vegan shoes, bags, coats etc 👍

Japan has the highest life expectancy in the world (84 years) and they eat meat and fish.
There you have it folks. We have evolved.
Rock make fire
Meat and fish make me age gooder. Simple.
If you are on a tight budget - avoid those places, you'll have no money left.
For cheap vegan food when you want to eat out, try Taco Bell. Order "Al Fresco." Don't know if you have any in the UK though.
@@someguy2135 I think theres only 2 taco bells in the country.
UK has the most vegans by percentage of population. I am extremely jealous of their range. Hopefully more will come to you in US and me in AUS
Thanks for all you do & educating, Joey! 💪 🌱

7:19 he said 'Oh wow' to something that was vegetarian, not vegan, meaning stuff that isn't vegan still looks tasty, and In my opinion is. Meat is tasty.
I REALLY ENJOY THESE VIDS MAN PLS MORE
I feel like it's not just about having vegan options but also having vegan certification and signs to give us confidence that we're eating cruelty-free.

I dig what you do, showing the way forward with your hard work, videos and how simple it is to climb out of the 'standard food' rut. You're making a difference in a big way brother and you are getting the message across, you obviously put a lot of thought into this stuff. This is your calling for sure. So helpful for so many people!!
I love your channelll!!!!
Wow! This is great!!!😲👏👏👏🌱🌱🌱🌱💓💓💓Thanks Joey 🙏🙏💓
Be careful with beans in Mexican places. Normally they are refried with animal fat.
Canned refried beans too
Usually they will also have boiled beans alongside.
Over in the UK y'all really have got it made!! We definitely have vegan options here in the US but I don't think if I went to the mall food court is be as lucky to find options, I definitely need to go check it out now!!
I think you would be more surprised than you think. Of course you have vegan options in American mall.
