My duckling can't eat or drink himself should i force him? And does he need medications or he gets better spontaneously ? What kind of food should i give him?

@@basmasarhan5245 hey! when j had my duckling i was force feeding him and giving him water but in the end he died. i did some research and there is a special medication that your duckling needs.

@@basmasarhan5245 vitamin e and electrolytes. what i did was mic some in their water. and after every hatch of chickens the first think i do is put some vitamin e and some electrolites you can use lots of thing like sunflower seeds there is also a medication you can get from ifa that you just rub on their beak.

Thank you so much for this. Found a mocking bird yesterday with the same problem. I made a brace for its neck and try to keep it still. It trues to fly but can't lift its head. This gives me hope

An egg mixed with food & vitamin E helps. Vitamins to put in water for poultry helps too

I want to say how incredibly funny the duckling looked in that brace. However, we live in the age of virtue signalling, so let me say: a) incredibly compassionate work to help this duckling (b) curse the genetic fortunes that have afflicted this defenceless creature (c) great thinking on the neck brace and 0:36 HAHAHAHAHA oh wow that's so funny

Hi there, sorry for the long delay in replying I hadn’t seen your comment. I mostly used cotton wool for the main inside padding for the neck brace and then I used a plaster around it to keep it all together.

Yall dont put neck brace cuz it would be worse you just need to separate it to other ducks and help it eat and drink well i mean you can do what she did but the procces will be harmful for the duck cuz its forcing the duck to make they're neck straight and if you just wait and feed them will clean food and water it would be a harmless procces
    But not a fast recovery

How do you keep the duckling stable when you’re at work?

Hi Hana, I’ll be honest with you. During this time I was working from home so my little duckling was rarely left alone and if I did ever go out I would ask a family member to keep an eye on him. Due to him unable to eat and drink with wry neck it’s real vital they’re regularly helped to feed and drink. It’s definitely tough if you work away and have no one else to take care of them so if that’s the case don’t blame yourself if you’re struggling. Sorry if this doesn’t help but just wanted to be honest with you. All the best.
