Somehow I keep coming back to this sound, this episode. Genre is Synthwave. Similar chord progressions in "The Neon Night" by Miami Sheriff -- check it out.
Joel Goldsmith composed the vast majority of the music in all the Stargate series... Sadly he passed away on April 29, 2012... May his soul rest in peace...
Oh, you *so* owe my dvr an apology. You took the first copy off and it would have been stuck in another endless loop so I can hear the music! That's way more work than the poor dear wants to do, but I can't help it. I *love* this music.....
man this is awesome i love the music on sgu, if you can isolate the music from the part when they are flying into the sun and realize they arent dead i would be so grateful :)
@MrLordpancakes That's because they were being extra critical, you know? When there were already three movies and two television shows, what could possibly live up to that? Well after I saw the first couple episodes I knew that SG:U could.
This is one of the best themes ever. Such a shame they never released the soundtrack.
5 years later and this theme is still in my head
11 years, such a strong all around episode
12....Don't forget to breathe
3:19 gives me chills to this day. Amazing piece of music.
Let's do a petition to release this track!
Sadly, he was one of the few greatest composers of all time, May he rest in peace.
Great upload. Thanks! Possibly one of the greatest cancelled shows. This and Firefly sit side by side.
I love this part of the episode so much. I love how Destiny gets kinda pissed that it can't jump right away.
Great actors - awesome music -> Stargate Universe
This is an absolutely amazing scene, one of the best on TV, and I think 51% of that is this musical soundtrack. THANK YOU

Still listening in 2020

Still in listening 2017 !!!
great job !
It's the music that makes 2 guys toting a storage bin across a sand dunes compelling.
this music is so awesome. lol and the kino remote that Eli uses looks more like an Ancient version of the PSP.
Still listening in 2021 RIP Joel 👊
He was a true artist and his work will live on in these shows for an eternity.
The greatest music and the greatest scene good job
Thank you so much! I've been looking for a good version of this for years! 🎉
Best upload of this track I've ever heard. Thank you!
C'est vraiment magnifique comme musique.. tout du moins, le début.
I like the end!
Still listening to this in 2015. Stargate Franchise >> [Insert any Franchise here]

congratulations your work is great
Joel Goldsmith is brilliant. Indeed. Sadly he's dead. But his music stays in this world.
lol that would really suck if the gate actually did shut down while Eli had his arm in the puddle.
The people who composed the soundtrack for this show are fucking brilliant
Honestly the best bit of this is when it hits 3:10 It sounds awesome =)
I'm still here ...in 2020

So I've heard. It's quite sad because the work done for all the series was epic.
And not to ruin the moment here, but sadly, he has since passed away. :/ May he rest in peace for eternity.
@kordova2182 All the music from that episode was pretty incredible.
👏👏👏👏👏🎶🎶🎶🎶❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
These are amazingly well-extracted. Any chance of you doing more of them from this show?
lovve it

@tribbleq oh wait nvm, you're right. lol
OH AND IM GOING TO WALK WITH IT ALL THE DAY IN THE CITY
The person, Joel Goldsmith, and yes he is a god.
@Symphoniaable well, i can agree with you only about music and one actor-Robert Carlyle
Ha! I spotted an error! If you look carefully at about 5:27, the timer runs out behind Colonel Young after it already ran out a few seconds before.
Bring back stargaze
@Generalkidd Agreed!
I HOPE. REALLY IF IM GOING TO BE THE ONLY ONE, IM GOING TO WRIGTE ON A SIGN "I WANT SGU BACK" NOT CARE OF ANYONE ELSE'S OPINION!
Any one know the name of the theme song ???
@MrLordpancakes I agree. I though it was Great from the beginning though.
