I have the 80 on order. But just got the 60HE+ delivered. Perhaps when the Optimum case drops, I’d be ready for the mods.
@@midnigh7x Yeah. My 80 is coming with L45 switches and ill use that second set on a custom 60. Need to see more of the Optimum one in order figure out if im getting that or a tofu.

btw for everyone wondering the second keyboard in the latency test is an apex pro mini
i have one, the switches are very scratchy and my first one completely went poltergeist mode after updating it. definitely get the 60he or 80he if possible.

@@Cr9msonrazer one isn't as low latency for initial presses or rapid trigger, as far as i know the steelseries one is the only true competitor, but even them the software is so much worse that i would recommend the wooting purely for that, even if the hardware wasnt already a bit better
Had an apex pro mini which I actually bought on accident but anyways got into keyboards and you can’t get replacement keycaps (you can but most standard caps don’t fit on the apex pro mini) 60he is fire but the 80he is def going to be better considering the mounting and case options

For real. I'm half way through my second set of my g910 replacement switches which is hopefully enough to last until this one comes out so i could finally let go of this broken keyboard.

My brother just got his apex pro yesterday, I can't wait for my 80he rapid trigger is so nice
6 more weeks. Tho I'm a bit disappointed it doesn't have a volume knob. I went from a full size num pad, arrows, media knob and play/pause button to a 60% and I was destroyed by how I miss the media layout. At least 1 knob please, wooting. I'm so not sure if this, or a Keychron Q1 HE, which will be basically this and a knob.
Nice vid guys and girls! I'm waiting on my founders 80HE. I'm very curious if it'll be the Zinc Alloy Raw Edition, because that was never a question with the order hehe. We'll see, otherwise I just order another one. Btw, I'm also Dutch but before I heard of you guys, I only did know about your existence through Optimum Tech, cause I'm a fan of his channel with all his and also mine mini-itx build options. So, I'm very curious what the case from him is gonna be. Thanks for all the hard work you put in. I'm looking forward receiving my 80HE. (typing this from my 'old' 60HE) 🙂

How does 8khz work? 8khz mice don’t usually always output at 8khz (due to sensor/CPI)
how will 8khz keyboard and mouse affect cpu/frametimes? 8khz on mice is largely a scam in my opinion
O man, that zinc 80 raw have me second guessing my pre-order choice of black. It looks like it would match up with my Cybertruck. 😁
0.8 ms seems to be a little inconsistent with the expected 0.125 ms. Will it improve?
This is an end to end latency test. There are biases in the test that add additional delay.
When we measure latency of 0.125ms, we measure on-board that every (0.125ms) scan we successfully measure and can report a key.
With this test however you need to include everything that also happens outside the keyboard including the physical press (0 to actuation point) and processing.

Can we please get a full video on the zinc alloys (especially black). You said they were already shown, but I've barely been able to properly see anything. 8K if possible. (2K at least, come on)
the keyboard is alright but other than a metal case it needs good foam, good gasket.. the sound is too bad, and the keycaps are not that pleasing. also please lube the stabilizers more. im sure it runs good in games but the typing experience itself is a little compromised

Would you guys consider releasing the source of the code you used to use XLAT with the KB and the solenoid and what not? I would love to do this kind of of testing with my XLAT and all the HE boards that I own
I believe we will share everything publicly, and we make extra of these custom XLATs to send over to reviewers so they can test with these as well.
The firmware side is already merged into XLAT. We could also publish the PCB design for the solenoid control.

I imagine it feels crispier. Having used many keyboards in all different sorts of games, they can make a BIG difference not necessarily good or bad but a much different feel.
I prefer alu black matte case and white caps. But the frosted is also nice. Im new to customizing, but see myself doing a cream caps with white or backlit legends on a white or black case
Is there a possibility of low profile switches and keys? If it can be configured by mm, I'd assume making a 2.0mm - 2.5mm switch height possible
I doubt you guys will see this but can we PLEASE get Clear/See through Lekker Switches? See through keycaps look sick on a wooting60, and having see through switches would take it to the next level

i was so horny for the 80HE, but i didnt have patience so i got the "undisclosed competitor" keyboard and now im just sad because i know certain quality issues i have so far wouldve just not been a thing on the 80HE.

Not sure if this matters, but the actuator for the competitor keyboard looks like it is more on an angle while both actuators on the wooting keyboards look vertical.
Hey there, good spot. These setups are super finicky at the moment, we're doing our best to give every keyboard the best chance to perform at its best, but they drift over time as it taps! We will be making these more stable before we ship them (for free) to reviewers (and competitors!!) so that it's easier to get the best possible data from them.
Also to note, in this video it was a bit messed up. But throughout the day at computex it was running correctly like the others and the results were very similar to what you see here
New case, when? it looks really nice, I want to testr how well does it handle the sound and modding aspect. Looking forward to it.

Oh I remember asking you guys for a higher polling rate firmware on the 60HE. You kept saying it doesn't matter ... who cares for another tray mount case. Just use plate gasket mounting ... the Kerning on the Katakana keycaps looks horrible.
I will always push you to do better, I want you guys to do well.
The 2HE and 60HE would require a different, "better" MCU to be able to do 8khz. It cannot be solved with firmware alone unfortunately. :)

The monitor on testing area look like XV272UX which are VERY bad and inconsistent in terms of response time, ghosting, overshoot and input delay.

im a little curious though, would there be any difference with the angle that the actuator is at? its perfectly vertical on the wooting 60 and 80's, but at a good angle for the competitor's keyboard. Honestly just curious. Looks like it works by using conduction of some sort, so probably doesn't make a difference, but i would be curious if it possibly could

the 80HE looks like the only gaming keyboard you will ever need :) Not sure where you guys and the industry as a whole will go from here. I really hope my comment age poorly though :) Will get myself one for Christmas :)

Its not the switches that make it 8K, it is more that the PCB has fit it. So if we were to implement 8K on the 60HE there needs to be an overhaul on the PCB, and thus a new version.

Part of me wants to think it was purposely done to sell zinc alloy cases, which they got me with. I wouldn't want to swap cases anyways because I'm in love with that raw zinc cases omg
Even if we did a completely bogstandard TKL, there still wouldn't be any cases to swap to. TKL doesn't have an established standard for case design or mounting, nor did we want to use an existing standard at loss of our gasket mount appraoch. :)
