All the writing is mine. But, in the episodes with Sean (Jesse-Jesus), we ad-lib a lot, and he always comes up with the best lines. Jimbo (Larry) used to do a great job ad-libbing too. Amy (Lucy) doesn't like to ad-lib.

You forgot the goofy hats in the begging segment.
factual correction: galilleo wasn't killed, other scientists were, but gallileo was forgiven. I think this is important because many catholics I know use this fact to try and quickly "get out of trouble" with science
Who are you correcting? In the episode, Mr. D. says that "they put Galileo away." There's no mention of killing him. And if I remember correctly, they only forgave him hundreds of years later. No?
misterdeity they actually forced him to recant, so he wasn't killed. So yes, being english my second language I didn't get that "put galileo away" meant to jail him (which they did) and not kill him. My point is that growing up as a catholic I was told many times that communists lie about "Galileo being killed". There are many examples of scientists being prosecuted by the church for pointing out the scientific truth, but catholics use the fact that Galileo stayed alive to pretend none of this ever happend, and that is why I'm very careful about that story, to not give them a way out.

One of the most tragic executions of a scientist was that of Giordano Bruno... Although I hesitate to call him a scientist, scientists didn't really exist back then. He was however a naturalist, which is what modern science grew out of.
It wasn't just the Christian religion that killed scientists however. Pythagoras had his own little cult and they went around killing the scientists of Ionia, some of which were even on to atomic theory. The Pythagorean cult, among other crazy beliefs, tried to push the idea that it's better to think about how the world works than to experiment and know for sure...
