- Wrapping my steering wheel is something I should have done a long time ago. It's a painful process but worth the end result.

Your a legend bro, just watched all your vids and subscribed. I just got a evo 9 wagon and will have to do just about everything you have done to yours
Thanks legend! 🙏🏻
Did my steering wheel couple weeks back with full Alcantara cause the shop I gave the steering wheel to to get a quote and get started, didn't get back to me for a week and I got impatient with the Evo sitting around. The wheel looks pretty good and standard for the kits you get too. I just wish they had better instructions on how to finish a stitch and gave a bit more material cause in some spots the string was unable to fully pull the Alcantara close together enough.
The instructions are a complete waste of time! You didn’t get enough material and I got too much - can’t win 🥲
Have this on my list of things to do and it looks about as painful as expected haha
Been meaning to get this kit for my steering wheel.. but thank you for this video that I have now con the girlfriend to do the stitching for me 😂
I had an alcantera one of these on my 9, but i absolutely HATED how it felt in the hand while driving, all the sharp edges and all. I'm going to get mine re-trimmed professionally, possibly resized as well into a GT86 rim I think. Its slightly smaller and its really comfortable.
The alcantara wears pretty quickly I've noticed. So far I can't fault the leather one!
@@jxntribe yeah it was just the way the stitching was at the spokes, just didn't feel great.
Good to hear yours turned out better than mine lol
@@jxntribe by the way how did you get the plastic out of the gauge cluster, I assume you had to pull the whole thing out or can it come out on its own? I need to do the same thing, theres some oxidation on the inside I want to get rid of.
Easiest to just pull the whole cluster out
@@jxntribe gotcha, might give that a go this weekend then
