I've just realised something you've spelt something wrong classic cars movies the harry Potter scene it says 1952 even though the model didn't come out until 1959
This is the difference between American Ford and British Ford. American Ford in the 50s and 60s made big, luxurious cars with powerful engines, while British Fords at the same time made small, economical cars.
The also made a range of larger car, but the largest was only Ford Falcon size called the Ford Zephyr and Zodiac. Six cylinder cars made over about four generations from about 1952 to 1973. In the sixties next step up was the Cortina then Classic then Corsair. Anglia was just the smallest and most affordable.
@@johnd8892 Thanks for the info! Those Fords are considered midsize cars today. Smaller cars mean better economy and saved parking space.👍 I love vintage British cars.
Fun Fact:
The blue Ford Anglia from Harry Potter got stolen after three years since the release of the movie. Three years later, it was recovered.
