My very first car when I passed my test many years ago ,it had a pre cross flow 1300 engine in it ,it was very reliable 👍loved that car with lots of good memories . Keep the vids coming , my favourite channel 👍👍
When I was very small a time long ago (1969) my dad had an Anglia and I lived in Emsworth not that far from where you’re based now Sam. I went for a day out with him in the Anglia to the New Forest and the bloody car got nicked and was found totalled smashed up behind a Mini Moke that was also stolen and was towing the Anglia it having been run out of petrol. True story and early traumatic memory. Fond memories of the car and I don’t mind a bit of Harry Potter either👍
That's a awkward car to restore cause what do you do make it showroom fresh or as it was in the movie. Yes the movie finish will keep it true to form and more valuable for the movie collectors yet a mint one will appeal to the car collectors. Either way it's a cool little car that if done right will draw a crowd at shows. Just a shame that you can't register it will the HP plates.
Sam, 2 things. 1 I wish you'd had more light & someone to help with the camerawork. #2 I've NEVER watched any of the Harry Potter movies. My daughter Victoria (now 26) loved the movies though.
was it screen used? if it was used it's not the main car as that is accounted for so what was this one used for in the film? never watched harry potter but did they smash up any? this one is not smashed or even dented so i cannot understand how this one was used? if it's not got film time it's not a movie car.
Yeah, I don’t think this is a screen used car! This Anglia has the alternative, later grill and it’s missing the hole for the invisibility booster in the dash. Wrong interior too :(
That matches the front plate. Not exactly my opinion of a “holy grail movie car” but still pretty cool nonetheless. I’m definitely looking forward to the restoration of another piece of cinematic history.
Rupert Grint’s father bought one of the cars used in the film and I believe it’s since been donated to the National British Car Museum.

This is totally Amazing!, The ford Anglia from H.P. & Chamber of Secrets is my Favorite.👍, 7990 TD is the Number Plate.
I would like to see this car up and running and being driven.
Fantastic find and glad someone who loves flim cars. Now owns it and look forward to seeing more videos on it
How do you "store" a car like that? You actually have to make an effort to park it this crooked ... wth?!
There was another car in there squeezed beside it
@@Hardupgarage Thx...explains it, I guess .. but still, my OCD is making me want to kill the person doing that in the first place 😁

Not awkward at all mate. Film car would be worth astronomically more than a restored one.
I like the new intro mate!!! Well done!
Sam, speak to chris dyer. He knew where there was another "alledged" Happy Potter anglia, and it was local in a container.
Mate that looks so cool.. you done well there 👏 👌 can't wait to see it drive and clean up
Keep it as is ....
Fair play to you

They had 14 cars I’ve been told … so I was told it was a background shot car … lol
That is plate that’s in the Harry Potter number plate so that could be the car
What kind of car is that?
Let’s hope you can find Herbie the love bug
Can’t wait to come and see this
Looks like it's the wrong colour... One in the film was paler, powder blue compared to that one...

G'day from Australia 👍🇦🇺
Harry Potter plate was 7990 TD

@@Hardupgarage I grew up reading and watching HP I think I could probably word for word all 8 still.
Looks like it's still on a film set.
🧐 mmm, was I the only one to smell that one. Can we say movie car…. (Staged) 🎃🎃
Very cool

Hey Sam hard my name is Daniel Travis hard from Tennessee USA could we be kin
That’s epic!!! Hey buddy
Fake. The grass os green
Fake, not a real barn find. That engine doesn’t have one spec of dust on it. Very clean engine bay😢
According to Sam’s source it hasn’t been there that long, 2-5years, hence the clean engine bay and interior. Good news for me, less to do! 👍
its also likely not from movie, a hell of a lot of these were made
Fake barn find.
