I recognize these sounds, specially the punching sfx, these are prime madhouse sounds, you hear it all the time in HxH(2011) this is good practice love the way you implement these sounds for the scene, Im even more hyped now for opm season 3!
Awesome work!!! I did something similar for the same trailer but it's not nearly as good as this. I'd love any advice you can give because I'm looking to get more serious into my sound effects!
For starters, there aren't enough whooshes in your video. Whenever someone lands an attack, a whoosh sound effect before the initial impact would make it sound better. The part where Garou was sent flying into the power lines could also use some type of whoosh sfx before he hits them. Secondly, for heavy hits (Bug God punching down on Garou) you don't have to be shy with the amount of impact sfx you use. Instead of just increasing the volume of one sfx, you can layer impact sfx after impact sfx and sync them together to get a much more beefier result. Thirdly, give the environment around them a little attention every now and then. If the scene displays a character getting punched so hard that the area around them gets affected (i.e. the ground cracking) add some sound effects for them. That's what I can give you so far, I hope this helps in any way. I wish you the best for your journey in getting better at sound editing!
