I have one just like it, in the process of getting it running and updating top end, tires, cables, and everything working, 9k miles, pretty good overall cosmetically, and all mechanically..
I just bought one this week - condition same as this, but original - $2000. Might have been less, but I did the 'buy it now' at his list price rather than risk losing out on an auction.

That smoke is perfectly normal. Better to run
a little rich than not enough. very nice bike.
If a two-stroke is not smoking, it means there is no two--stroke oil mixed into the petrol and therefore no lubrication.
