This sketch is 100% true... during college before any big test I’d drink a mikes hard lemonade and sip a second while taking the test online.... I made near perfect scores, where as I second guessed myself so much normally that I’d end up at around an 82 with out it. One time I just drank the second to quickly and finished it before the test.... I failed that single test hahaha
That's my experience as well. I'm a programmer and I find just sauced enough not to second guess yourself while still sober enough to remember all the jargon is an absolute sweet spot.

Drink too much and your effectivness declines, too little and there is no effect, but drink just enough and you are your perfect self without any downsides.

The score for the "The Shining" (with title-card jumpscare), the secret meeting of elites, re: "Eyes Wide Shut", and even that pillar in the courtroom lobby is reminiscent of the Monolith in "2001". Perhaps even the end of the world ("Dr. Strangelove").
I remember being 17 and actually planning to drink wine everyday before going to school because everytime I had it, it made me more confident and relaxed. I might as well have been visited by the inebriatis and be running against the psychopath who leads my country right now
