Will this be the last of my ND filters review videos? Many thanks for watching and your support to the channel :)
The whole point of ND filters is to keep shutter speed at twice its framerate. So if you're shooting in 25fps, shutterspeed should be set to 50. From here, you adjust your exposure with your ND filters. If you adjust your shutterspeed there is no need to use ND. It can end up with lower image quality if you just compensate for ND.
Many thanks for the information and many thanks for watching.
@@shaunthedrone Thank you for taking the time to make it 😊
Man I’m sorry if I am going to sound a little rude but… do you even know what VNDs are for? Your shutter speed and fps are all over the place…
The main benefit of using any ND filter is to have you shutter speed double the chosen frame rate. A Variable ND basically allows you to rotate the ring to increase the neutral density instead of having to remove-install filters to adjust you exposure accordingly.
Just chose the Frame Rate you wish to shoot at, select double the Shutter Speed (ex.; 4K 30fps = Shutter Speed of 1/60sec) and rotate the ring on the VND filter until your highlights are properly exposed (not blown up). That’s it :) The main purpose is to get that natural blur that our eyes see, the ‘cinematic’ effect instead of a jittery unnatural video.
That's okay, it's all about sharing the info and many thanks for your info on the ND filters, big help. Many thanks for watching :)
@@shaunthedrone again Shawn, not wanting to be disrespectful! It was just weird seeing you messing with the settings like that… I hope you get a better feeling for NDs and enjoy your flying ;)
Many thanks for this wise explanation about Freewell VND filters. I was using with the MA2 and I liked it. Usually I change battery and filters at same time. With these filters is easy to arrange the correct exposure without changing filter. Maybe I can try ones very soon. Best regards from Ceuta.
Thank you Pedro, so many filters by Freewell and glad you enjoyed the video. Many thanks for watching :)
I love my cpl/nd filters on the gopro. Wish they did a few more like they do for the drone.
I haven’t really flown the drone much as im at work, next week im home and will be using the freewell cpl/nd filters on the drone, with 24fps.
Good to know what you use, many thanks for watching and your support :)
Интересное видео. Спасибо
Рад, что вам понравилось видео. Большое спасибо за просмотр :)
Good morning Shaun hope your well I am hooked on your videos you are easy to listen to 👍
Question do you have any cpl filter or any other one you want to give away please you seem to get plenty, many thanks Steve Edwards
Thank you Steve, glad you enjoy my videos, makes me happy making them. Too late Steve, I've given most of my filters away until the next new drone. Many thanks for watching :)
Why do you keep adjusting your shutter, follow the 180degree rule man, thats why ypu have the VND man😢
Many thanks for the info and thanks for watching.
Thanks for sharing. I pay attention to the borders of the video. I didn't notice vignetting. When dialing up or down the filter did you notice vignetting? Thank you
Many thanks for watching, I didn't notice any vignetting or blurring but I didn't blow up the screen to check the edging, so good point. I only shoot in 1080. Many thanks for your question :)
I have these variable ND on my Mini 3 Pro and I'm afraid that I notice a little bit of vignetting but only on bottom left and top right corner... and I dont know if it is a VND vilter issue or camera...
@@Drone_Rabbit thanks for that, not noticed it myself. Maybe the filter.
My word they have so many kinds…. I bought the all day 6 pack….. should I exchange for this one?
I would stick with the All day 6 pack which I think is the best value for money if you only have one pack.
So true, so many filters and as Barry has said, stick with your All pack, many thanks for watching :)
Hey Shaun what do you think about these MIST VND filters VS the ND CPL filters?
Hi Nikko, I think if you can afford them, both as they have their own uses but to me the CPL filters. Many thanks for watching :)
interesting, but it's too complex for me as a beginner.
Have to agree Steve, never been a lover with filters as you can adjust in edit if needed but have found this interesting time using these new filters. Many thanks. for watching :)
Visit 2pack or mega pack?
Many thanks for watching :)
