Thank you for this video. I am clearly a little late in the drone game. But this video went over everything I wanted to know about the freewell filters.
Thanks for the detailed review of the DJI MINI3 filter. I am very interested in the MINI3 itself as well as the filters, so that was great! Thanks! 🤩👍✨
Great review bro! Liverpool looks stunning through these lenses, I do like freewells products myself! The ND8 is one i would have really liked, but cant have it all.
Thanks bro, yeah there’s some awesome locations in the UK accessible with the sub 250g drones. Seems a strange omission to me the ND 8, but the shutter speed double frame rate is a ballpark rule so it should be ok
I think that the anamorphic lens will work very well for horizontal shots, because many/most viewers consume content on smartphones (unfortunately) which have a ratio of 20:9. But what about the optical quality of such a system? Doesn't the resolution drop too much after installing such an overlay? Anamorphic cinema lenses are extremely expensive due to the difficulty of precision grinding during the manufacturing process
Hi Ian I notice the description says you're in Chester I'm down that way seeing my dad (he lives in Caerwys) are there any restrictions flying near Chester Park and the river Dee, I tried to fly there a couple of months ago but a group of people came and complained so packed up as a newbie I got worried> I've checked all normal avenues and can't see any restrictions liked and subscribed Many Thanks Martin
YOUR footage looks AWESOME!!! Butttt, YOU use the Anamorphic lens for specific purposes and results... I really like the wide angle lens results, for MY basic and VLogging footage... I see it would depend on each users needs and results trying to be achieved... Thanks for sharing this information, tips, and suggestions!!! Philly, PA intermediate Mini 3 Pro Drone Pilot who uses DaVinci Resolve.... #Salute Sir!!!
Thanks, yes anamorphic for a short film or cinematic pieces on UA-cam. Unfortunately stock agencies don’t accept anamorphic footage so the wide angle will be better for that. And as you say vlogs if it fits in better with the overall look
i mean.. can you desquueze from a program available on phones/tablets. i do not have a computer to edit on so i rely on my phone for all the editing i do. that being said, if i go and purchase the anamorphic lens for my mini 3 pro, would i be able to desquueze it somehow without the use of a laptop etc etc
Amazing video, I instantly subscribed. Thanks for this, it is extremely useful and so very well explained.

does this work for dji mini 3?
Will these be released for the Mini Pro 4. I have these for the Mini Pro 3 and is what is stopping me going to the 4?
Just released a video about a Freewell pack on the 4 pro, perfectly timed comment. Not anamorphic yet though, I’ll ask them for you though
@@Ian.A.Anderson Thank you, will have a watch. I did ask Freewell, the response I got was 'thanks for the suggestion'
Is the anamorphic lens good for vertical reels?
I wouldn’t buy it for vertical video myself

The quality drop off with the anamorphic isn’t bad at all. The autofocus with the drone doesn’t work as well though and there’s still some distortion

Hi Martin, complainers are going to complain. If you’re flying from public land sub 250g drone in Chester, then to my knowledge it’s within the law
Good I thought I was right but as a newbie thought I had made a mistake. Thx for answering by the way @@Ian.A.Anderson
You’re not worrying about distortion enough. It’s neither good or bad but depending on context it can be better to have it.

@@Ian.A.Anderson Definitely good to know.. I appreciate your response
is there any way to edit a drone video shot with a freewell anamorphic lens using only your phone/tablet ?
Yeah I mean the filter doesn’t change the editing process. I don’t use phone or tablet programs but they exist
i mean.. can you desquueze from a program available on phones/tablets. i do not have a computer to edit on so i rely on my phone for all the editing i do. that being said, if i go and purchase the anamorphic lens for my mini 3 pro, would i be able to desquueze it somehow without the use of a laptop etc etc
ohh i get you try Desqueeze - Batch Resizer to see if its compatible with your devices@@der_83
@@Ian.A.Anderson nice !!
