I'm so glad we got to collaborate on this crazy crazy thing.
Also, I didn't know about your channel before we met and now I'm hooked. I've been watching nonstop since. Learning a ton about guitar pedals. It's awesome.

Sam the Samuraiguitarist literally wandered around a beachtown in California with a “free pedals” sign! He had 10 fuzzboxes... gave away 9... then decided to keep a Walrus Audio one for himself. Sweetwater are also giving away a dirt box board and a delay board.

Yeah, he's got some real blind spots musically. Anything on the heavier side, he tends to not know much about. Or his issue w/picks. He's always going on about how they don't sound different, but they're not suppossed to; they attack differently, & heavier music demands better picks.

Ok but really if JHS, Wampler, Keely made a triple OD..... TS, Klon, Bluesbreaker called the triple crown I’m pretty sure it would sell out in seconds. It would of course be buffer or true bypass, allow for series or parallel in any order or combination, 9v or 18v for more headroom, and have a hidden switch inside that turns it into 3 metal zones running into each other.

There is so much to say here...
First of all, I saw Rob's video when it first came out (I was stoked you were in it, I yelled "JOSH!!!"). I've watched most everyone else's videos who have gotten pieces of the world record board, like Samurai Guitarist was giving away pedals here in LA, and Sweetwater's video...but this video was a lot more informative as to how the the pedals were connected and some of the finer details. I mean Rob's went into it, but it was a long video, this got to the nuts and bolts with out any beating around the bush. Thank you for that and great job.

I was wondering when you were going to make a video on this. Rob’s video kick off what is now a bit of an addiction. I’m a sound guy, who’s done it for years but still learning. Pedal boards and guitar amps are something that have always been there but as a sound guy I just let the guitarist handle them and let them know if I don’t have signal. 😅 So I started looking into the pedals used and one that came up in Andrew Huang’s video was the mini wave tide tremolo that you make. Gorgeous sound, I immediately looked up reviews for it and long story short found your channel talking about tremolos. Literally about two or three videos later I realize that you made that pedal along with a bunch of others but you could never tell that you were the company man because unlike other channel who you can tell are “trying to sell you something” you came of as a hobby enthusiast just having fun with his collection. In a week of subscribing I’ve learned more about the history of pedals then I ever knew existed, not to mention the amazing record recommendations!!! Love your pedals love your channel, best of luck and thank you so much for everything you’ve taught me! Fingers crossed for the pedal board, that’s the main thing I want and need to start making my own! The wahs’ are something I still need to learn about!! 😂 Thanks again!

I was a fan already - but I walked out of that place a changed kid. I don't know of anybody that can touch him when it comes to great songs over such a long career. His albums were consistently great up until the end. I miss him and his band. They always sounded so tight - and they always rocked so hard.

I was lovin' seein' all you guys get together in Rob's attempt, but when Alex Lifeson walked out on stage I was floored. That man is a guitar god to me, having listened and learned to play almost everything he's ever done with RUSH. That looked like an outstanding day overall. Congratulations to everyone!

It's great to see all of you pedal guys together. It felt like one of those Simpsons feat. Family Guy episodes. Fun, but confusing fun.

Have used them for a little under two years as well, never had issues. Granted, I use only three to five pedals at most. But still!

Favorite, would have to be Tom Petty. He wrote the soundtrack to most of my life...and that’s why I think so many folks love him. No matter how old you are, his music just makes sense across time.

Frankly, I thought it was awesome that, of all people, Alex Lifeson showed up. He (and Rush) is the reason I wanted to start playing guitar in the first place, and his choice of effects for Rush's songs were what I based my first few (BOSS) pedal choices on, way back in 1984. So, though I do love Tom Petty, my favorite artist(s), with tons of quality hits (and albums) is Rush.
Congrats to you and the rest on this record breaking accomplishment!

Saw Tom Petty in 1986 way down in Auckland New Zealand when he toured with Bob Dylan. He truly was one of the greats.
Blur has a great best of album. It’s the perfect road trip sound track.

500 nonfaulty patch cables from EBS Sweden, well done! I can testify for another 50 or so of those, which I have used over the last five years. Favourite patch cable with the smallest footwidth probably.

Imagine calling Dan from the GigRig to do this. "Yes, I've got GigRig power supply, it'll power everything. Yes, the boards will be tidily ready in the evening. Hey, I'll even throw in G2 to get rid of the noise problems. Everybody at the top of the business uses them and I build these almost every day, heck, I'll even cut the cables to length and label all the pedals on the looper" :D When you look at how much effort and possible fault points building this system has, you start appreciating those little things like GigRig gear. At first it might look like an overreaction but in the end it's just response to common problems. Like not knowing which pedals are on. No problem, turn everything on and let the G2 handle switching.
Jokes aside, great collaboration and miraculous outcome. You guys are the best. Also the Guinness record rules are one of the silliest compilation of random things. And look at that, I was just listening to the Last Dance of Mary Jane before the video and you pull out Tom Petty. My continuous hit machine would be Eppu Normaali that I once advertised to you. Every album in my opinion had a hit. Often times half the album was something you will remember. I love when pedalmakers gather up, what a bunch of happy and chill fellows. Always a mood lifter.

Mr. Petty and the Heartbreakers were the band for Johnny Cash’s American Recordings. Can’t get better than that. About an artist who has continuous great production: Andrew Bird (his violin + Line 6 DL4 loop combo is a killer). And, as Cameron said below: Tom Waits is a consistent musical heaven. Killer episode (they all are), you’re the best, Josh!

At 10:36 I was already trying to type here in the comments how amazed I was that no major failures occurred. That is a very good topic for the commemorative shirt. I am always amazed by my own ability to fail with only two or three pedals.
