guys I’m 320 days clean and these podcast seriously are a god sent. honestly dapper mate you’ve completely changed and I’m so proud of you and also Terry your a absolute rock of a block and your story about Jacob made me cry. These podcast help with my sobriety and being a better father to my 18 month old. Just struggling with feelings of emptiness and feeling lost but it’s one step at a time. Thank you guys and rip to baby Jacob to come back from that is truly inspirational.

I'm an audio listener in the van at work, but couldn't not come here to comment on how powerful a podcast this was. The story of Jacob in the last 15 minutes had tears running down my face. Thank you so much Terry for sharing everything.

Amazing story, inspiring what can be done when it looks like things are beyond hope. All suffering is caused by the avoidance of pain, Buddha.

Im glad he made the distinction for Dapper here that there may well be different symptoms and levels but fundamentally whether you're on the street doing needles or a wine mum drinking a bottle to day cope you have differnet symptoms but the same disease which is addiction. Lots of people dont get help because they are "not a dirty junkie" and that allows addiction to last longer and become more destructive.

Great podcast guys 👌 amazing work you are doing Dan bringing this subject to the light whilst going through your own journey. Love your vulnerability and genuine interest in others and their lives with addiction. I bought the book 'This naked mind by Annie Grace recommended by one of your guests and it really does get in your head. Talks of our unconscious mind being in control of our desires which is why we battle in our heads so much that 'we never drinking again' and then it takes over with out knowledge and the cycle begins again.
Every drinker can relate to this book and along the way it makes u question 'why you do it.
In my head I didn't think I drank much but on some weeks it would be half a glass of wine with my dinner most nights then pub Friday Saturday n Sunday lunch but just early doors for a couple. So in my head it wasn't much. Now I look back and I'm like wow huge denial there! I've only had the book just under a month n read it b4 bed even if its just a chapter. I now have a couple on a Saturday teatime and I even question them . Will be going full time after Xmas.
Keep up the grand work all of you your nest is growing Dan 💪🤩❤🖤❤🤎
