I love this guy. He really explains things clearly. Its easy to see what he is doing so i follow along with clear understanding. I inherited a mtb i love. Not an expensive one, but its smooth and fun. Well, ive heard from all bike shops nothing but discouraging advice. Its wasteful to throw away a bike because it needs new cables and the back tire to be trued. Also had to buy a rear and front derailleur. Inexpensive one at a time. But all together it ran up a little bill about 2/3 the cost of an exact new bike. Still I wanted to do this. No big deal, right? I work on my wrangler no prob thanks to you tube. WRONG! Bikes are more complicated to understand at first and can be overwhelming in the beginning. I told that guy at the shop im not throwing my "inherited" or "not worth it" bike out. I said youll see and will be proud of me! 6 months later, still spending money on a bolt or barrel adjuster cause someone stripped or lost pieces etc. Im finally figuring out the mechanics of it. Not soo rocket science anymore. Glad i stuck thru it. If anything goes wrong i wont be helpless. I wont be truing the wheel myself, tho. Lol I hope this guy gets paid well for his outstanding videos. Thank you Mrs. Larr
I got a bike from a bike charity stripped it to the bare frame and am rebuilding it with mostly new parts. I thought I knew about bikes but I'm learning sooo much! Park Tool vids are an indispensible resource.
The high quality, organization, and thorough nature of these videos has made Park Tool's channel my exclusive and most trusted source for all things biking! Thank you for the work you've put into these videos. Video Request: Handlebar positioning / rotation in the stem.
The videos are great and all the organization of the additional info from the titled info with time code to all the related links! Y'all are an oasis of info in this internet of poop!
If your brake lever is long enough, install the brake first and the shifter to the outside to have better reach for both shifter levers (to utilize maximum gear down by your thumb)!
May ask you something sir regarding the installation of bottom bracket. What would be the best thing to do if the frame thread has a slight damage causing problem for the installation of bottom bracket? Thanks.
A shop should have a bottom bracket tap. These will clean up issues in the thread. Even a few bad thread don't spoil the whole bottom bracket. As long as it pulls up to full torque, it will be fine.
How about the break cable of the hydraulic break system sir, most cable is too long. What should be the best thing to do? Is it advisable to cut it? Thanks

Exist the Allen key 2.25 ?, or only 2.0 and 2.5....thanks
There is 2mm and 2.5mm. However, a 3/32" fractional hex is very close to the 2.25mm.
did this man just pull a grip out of his chest pocket? LOL
