Peter was speaking for himself, and not for Satan. Satan just means 'adversary' and that is what Peter was being to Jesus, because his words were adverse or opposing to what Jesus had just said. What came out of Peter's mouth was not from anything else but his own heart. For Jesus says 'For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness' (Mk 7:21,22).
