I was 21 when this movie came out and, even back then, I knew that I would still relate to it in my 30s. As an outsider, a reject and a weirdo with a dark sense of humour, I always knew that this is what my personality is like and that it will never change. Granted, I am not working in fast food and I have a decent education but the silliness, humour and refusal to fully grow up are all there. I am basically a mish-mash of all the characters in this wonderful movie. I guess I keep coming back to it because I relate to it so much.
I like the added silence during the last scene after Randall laments that Dante is leaving for Florida. It makes Randall’s emotions feel more raw and authentic.
Randall's rant is not about Lance, is about Dante leaving him. I left a friend of mine in my hometown (in order to pursue a career) and he was just as sad and angry. I still feel kind of guilty about it
That one hit me on a different level too. He did a great job acting it out. It felt very real. Probably added some emotion from a real experience he's had in life too
10:32 to 10:55 . That's how I felt like me growing up in the 2000s. Missed hanging out with my friends at elementary school. Watch cartoon Network and played fresh games on the original Xbox and Xbox 360 games. Missed my times being a 2000s kid. It's what Minion said in his loading scene in Twisted Metal Black. We will return to our old world one day.
+Robert Jonsson They have to edit certain scenes out to maintain a R rating. The rest could have been added into a unrated version, which I'm pretty sure it was. Somehow I've seen all these scenes as if they weren't cut on the version I watched.
It would've killed my ass off if I rode in the car with 2 guys just like them. Two store clerks getting hilariously all damn personal would've killed off my laugh box everytime it's been repaired.
Whn I watched Clerks 2 these scenes were in the movie. The seen with Jay doing the buffalo bill rip off had the music... So they obviously put them back in after it was released in theatres
dude used to be a pack a day guy, he's since quit, I saw him once in Manhattan at a flower shop a pal of mine used to work at, and I managed to score a cig from him, nice guy, but he's a scientologist...to each their own surely
For some reason they cut Jay's joke when it only took 2 seconds. Them asking him how he knows they call him Pickle Fucker and him responding "You do?" then running out with the food is a great joke...no idea why they cut it
I've seen the entire Jay and Silent Bob/Clerks franchise a hundred times I can definitely hear the music in my head with the dick tuck scene. I know I'm not the only one
I feel like this movie would feel exactly like a "clerks II." if it were in black and white. But, for as long after the original as this was, it worked incredibly well and is (for the most part) pretty faithful to the original script's style. The only thing I would change is replacing the 3-4 time filler music videos from the second half with this stuff
If the multiverse theory is correct then Dante in fact impregnated his mother an infinite number of times by jizzing on the woman's room toilet seat. Late but spoiler alert.
If Randall ,,, Dante ,,, Jay & Silent Bob Don't Go Down In Cinema History As Some Of The Best Written & Acted Characters In History ⁉️ SomeThing's Definitely Wrong With This World ❗ Thanks Kevin Smith ... View Askew 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
The car dialogue should have stayed in. I remember seeing this movie in the theater and how hard people laughed during it. That scene would have killed.
As neat as t was to see Jason Lee make an appearance in Clerks2, I sorta wish it would have ben as Brodie, or Banky...ether way Kevin Smith still pulled together all he could from the previous movies, this is almost like a mash-up of all his movie's...or so I felt when I first saw it in the theaters.
As I was watching this it dawned on me that I do not even remember the tiniest bit of this film. Either it sucked, or my brain has completely gone to shitsville.
shitsville it is. i mean it is probably sillier than it seems to me, since i'm not a native english speaker, but i really like it. it's childish, but it has some depth to it.
Instead of resorting to violence like earl would have before the list he just takes a deep breath calmly gathers his thoughts and proceeds to brutally rip the fuck out the two clerks xD "karma gotta love it"
"Thanks, pickle fucker!"
"How'd you know we call him pickle fucker?"
"You do?"
Fucking priceless.
PsychoticDave I know, that line was hilarious. They totally should have kept that in!
PsychoticDa
Dangit! They should've kept that in.
Beat me to it. 🤣😂🤣
@@sstaners1234 Yeah, six years ago. Lmfao.
How Jeff Anderson can deliver those lines with a straight face is amazing.
Just telling a story
Randall always finds a way to display his intelligence in the most hilarious way possible, lmao
hehe Whenever i will see Jason Lee with mustache then i will forever see Earl.
Light beard hes Brody
Full beard he’s Banky
He was in the middle of filming Earl when he got the call for Clerks II. Drove a few hours to this set and memorized 18 pages of dialogue on the spot.
I was told it was Ben Affleck when I watched this. Lol
@@fresherzzz9240 Ben Affleck and Jason Lee are both in this

That car scene was fucking epic!
Still feels weird that I can quote that scene verbatim even though its a deleted scene. It's so fucking good.

"Yo, some pickle fucker gave us free eats!" HAHAHAHAHAHHAHA
So thats why he says the toilet thing when Dante tells him that Rosario got pregnant.
duh
They were talking about it in the theatrical version when he says, I don't know about you, but cumming centers me
i just realized,
even though Jeff Anderson appears in almost ever View Askiew movie, this is the first time that he interacts with Jason Lee.
That's pretty ironic, seeing as Brodie Bruce from Mallrats (played by Jason Lee) is canonically Randal's cousin.
@@electrickoathanger FOR REAL?

Man lmao that back & forth in the last half was epic shit talking 😂 Exactly what friends are for!
15 bucks little man put that shit in my hand

Pure genius.
i'm the same age as kevin smith and we all used to say that.
ALDI transformers lol.
yup thats a generation xr saying
That was in the original
It was 3 bites
Randall is brilliant, what a performance !
Jeff Anderson is great. He should've done more movies.
Who is he? The Mobies guy with the Canadian accent
HOW COULD THEY HAVE CUT THESE SCENES OUT
The film would be too long?
WHY DON'T YOU CRY ABOUT?! SADDLE BAGS!

I haven't laughed that hard in a long time. The car seen at the end...I had tears!
Okay. Without "Goodbye Horses" playing in the background at 1:04, this scene is just creepy...creepy, but oh so fucking funny! 😂😂😂
That’s probably how they did it in silence of the lambs, added the music in later
sick little donnie darko tangent universe hahahahaha
Randall is a legend and he is such a merc with his mouth. Whoever wrote this part is a genius his lines were abrassively hilarious.
Rosario is GORGEOUS
Why the fuck would they cut out "You do?" That made me laugh so damn hard
Jeff Anderson with Lee and Mewes, such big personalities all in one scene
this is gold, but honestly good they cut them out, It made the movie more dynamic
wow that last scene and ending.. wow.. like that was so so deep....
"whoa thanks pickle fucker"
and people say we don't need a clerks 3
Randal going full circle in the car was great
I love the twisted conspiracies of Randal

Hey Crabman!
Hey Arnold!
*du nu nu nu nu nu nu nu nu*
Andreas Nordvall Ehh wrong show but I'm sure you know that
aye crabman
It's so hard not to see him as Earl. All because of his mustache.
I like how he mentions Donnie Darko
4:28 it's good that this line "Three bites." was cut, because it makes Randall's retort seem redundant.
It would've killed my ass off if I rode in the car with 2 guys just like them. Two store clerks getting hilariously all damn personal would've killed off my laugh box everytime it's been repaired.

what kind of version do you watch? I own the german dvd and the US Bluray and those scenes are not IN the movie
the 2 disc edition
Micheal sarver I have it too, but the scenes are not included in the main movie

I wonder if Jason Lee had a sore throat the day he shot his scene.

i started the song on another tab and it lined up perfectly hahah yes!
Did Earl get out of the hospital and think he was someone named "Lance" after getting hit by a car, because that is clearly Earl!
These arent deleted. I just watched the movie last night. All these scenes were in it
Maybe in the extended version, not the theatrical version. The theatrical version has these scenes, but shortened up a minute or two.
These deleted scenes are actually just extended scenes. Most of them are in the movie, just not as long as they are in this video
