The clarity of your Presence has a healing quality that is rare. That quality is similar to the spaciousness that can be felt in the pause between breaths. Expand that pause....and the one between thoughts. This place is your home. In Joy.
Thanks for the great content! Another relaxing mini movie. Great camera work and sound design. I truly enjoy your videos. Keep up the great work. Have a wonderful day!
I always come away feeling blessed by you , your journey and your talent . Your ability to capture scenes and moments in time is magical. Your voice overs bring us context. I was sorry thinking because of your title you were leaving the road. I suspect you will someday but for know I can still look forward to your inspiring posts. Take good care of that ankle. Blessings and traveling mercies from South Florida.
Pure art. Every shot is a painting. The cinematography, the colour grading, the editing, the sound design - everything is so well done. Knowing that it’s worth it to send a drone up high to shoot a beautiful overhead that’ll be a one second shot. (And driving while you’re operating it - not easy) Those skills all serve the writing and storytelling. We’re so glad you do this. It’s gotta be tough, but it’s so appreciated.

This was incredible. I have to say, you could make a documentary on your life in the road. It’s so calming, but real, beautiful and stoic. Christian, your camera talent and your thoughts about life are just so beautiful. Thank you. ❤
Watching a video like this one is so relaxing, nowadays we are so used to those videos with fast camera movements, loud music, and then seeing something different, something that slow you down that makes you wonder why are we spending so much time on our phone instead of looking outside our windows.. it’s so beautiful. Thank you so much Christian for this masterpiece of beauty. We should be more grateful to live in this planet.
As a guy that works 2 jobs I get to see the sunrise and sunset almost everyday, I’ve never taken one for granted, and enjoying seeing them from all over, your camera 🎥 work is amazing thanks for sharing 🤘⚡️🤘✨✨
I've always thought of you as a film maker and of course story teller..You make us feel like we're in the passenger seat seeing the mountains with you. Cheers, Colin
Thank you, this is mind blowing, crazy good work! This video is so overwhelmingly well made and beautiful that watching it brought tears to my eyes. It's almost impossible for me to comprehend the fact that this video was filmed and edited by one single person (you!). The meticulous framing, timing, storytelling combined with superb editing is simply amazing. I'll watch this many more times and I don't think I'll ever get tired of it. Again, thank you for sharing!

Your last line, "Thanks for being there." Are you kidding...Thank YOU for being out there! Your thoughts are visual skills just keep getting better and better. Thank you again for the inspiration and motivation!
Christian, thanks for sharing your life on the road and where it has taken you personally. The tone of your latest videos shows how ready you are to take a rest emotionally and physically. Living on the road and creating content day after day, year after year, with your ability to support yourself is based on a social media platform's willingness to put you at the top of the list must be exhausting. Constantly seeking adventure, putting your most intimate thoughts and feelings in front of hundreds of thousands of people, and processing this alone can't be easy. Doesn't hitting the offramp for a season whilst resting and recharging your batteries in a familiar place seem appealing at this point? With the skills you have developed, you can write your own ticket and work as much or as little as you like. Keep your van services, clean, and ready for adventure. Things don't have to be this or that, they can be this and this. Best of luck and I wish you all the best.
Your rawness and honesty is mostly what I appreciate...admire, of your life on the road truly is. I became minimalist since 2016...camp... Covid time I packed up my van and drove to Calgary, Alberta. 2021 was the first year where I decided to take a break. It's been a long 2 yrs!(I know you get this).. 2023 I am ready to hit the road again! Thanks Christian!💛
Christian - Echoing the sentiments of MANY commenters who are inspired by your storytelling posts… you’re an inspiration and one who has perspectives, authenticity, ‘raw’ sharing, and joy that resonates with us all. Thank you for sharing along your journey! Although from much different walks of life (as a single dad raising my kiddos with total focus going on 17 years now… but have now just left the nest… it’s a surreal time transitioning from the 3 of us at home, to just me having given most of my adult life to carrying for them)… I find myself at a crossroads as well (something you’ve helped express yourself that we all face in our own ways). So many things you share… speak to the soul and remind us (as you say in this video) “You and I, we’re travelers… and we’re only passing through.” Learning to embrace that is harder than it sounds! But it’s been refreshing watching the world through another’s eyes, including your authentic sharing the past year of watching your digital canvas… and learning that endless opportunities exist, and how ‘passing through’ will often present endless twists, turns and possibilities… even when one is scared, stuck in time, or spinning like a top at the world passing by. Thank you for helping remind us to embrace change & remove limitations along the way! Wishing you continued safe & blessed journeys ahead! 😊 p.s. by the time of this video, hopefully the ankle is back to full strength!
Christian, some of your best work yet. Amazing ! Your work feeds my soul. Your eye for capturing seemingly drive by beauty and capturing it for your audience is such a developed skilled that goes unnoticed by the common eye. Thank you for capturing the beauty for those of us who will never see or experience the awesome places you take us to. A gift ! Look forward to every ep ! Stay safe, peace and blessings !!
Thank you for creating these works of art. You continue to evolve the process and your skills. Beautiful, thought provoking, stirring. You are a secret gem in this chaotic world.
"you and I were travelers, we just passing through" you are right, the important thing is life after this, succeed in this life and prepared for the next form of life
What we’re looking for doesn’t change, the energy, the formless taking form. In the absence of ourself, ‘ It’ is always there regardless of time and illusions … I like your work! Thanks 😊
Yours are the only videos that I watch immediately after being posted. All of them are spectacular and significantly relaxing! I look forward to your next video. Thank you for making them!
This is your most magical story yet. Had me on the verge of tearing up by the end 🥹. You have mastered the art of storytelling: drawing us in with the ups and downs, evoking wonder, creating that personal connection with the viewer. Simply magic. Don't know you personally, but can't help but feel proud of you! Wishing you all the best! And thank you for what you do 🫶
Thank-you. Your voice is calming in a matter-of-fact way. The narrative is relatable and carries us along. The unique scenes, wonderfully captured, bring to light such rare hues. And your message? Time is relative. It's our observance, the point, the angle from one's individual precipice that allows us to define our purpose and give meaning to our existence. You give us more than you realize.
My wife and I just returned from a 9 day vacation at a wellness retreat where the one thing or word that I took away is "temporary". Whatever your experiencing at this moment, whether good or bad is temporary. It definitely helps me and when I rea your caption for this video "Nothing Lasts Forever" you reminded me of that again. Thanks. Darren
ça fait du bien de voir une personne nous montrer la beauté du monde réel,cela nous change du monde virtuel de Holywood.nul besoin des Avengers et de ses épigones pour rêver.merci pour ça Christian.
Thank you Christian. This was once again, worth the wait. Serenity in your work, amongst all the noise. Traveling with you is peaceful and energizing. Your gift to all of us. Be safe!
"Just passing through..." There's something about traveling because you know your time is short term in a place, it sometimes feels easier to experience life and put yourself out there more. It's exciting, thrilling, and makes you feel like it's the closest thing to being an explorer. For that reason I know for myself it gets harder when I'm in one place for a longer time, as if you're somehow giving something up for that stability and consistency that some would argue is actually what the majority of life is. I still struggle when it comes to long term living in one place, relationships, and routines. My inner nomad is always telling me to plan the next escape...
Christian, this video is so beautiful, so poignant & real! I didn’t want it to end. All things, even this beautiful video, are temporary. What an amazingly lovely reminder. Love & Blessings on your way, dear one! ❤🙏🏻
Your titles jumble my emotions. I submerge myself within the visual tranquility and insightful philosophical poetry you compose. Yet with anxiety that it mat be your last. And you end your visits with steadfast determination. And leave me with hope of another video. What an orchestra of emotion. Bravo if that's your intention.
i agree nothing lasts forever..You only live once, but if you do it right, once is enough..Your work is amazing and thanks for all your videos, much appreciated..Take it easy with that injury and happy safe travels 👍🧡
This is the best vlogger-photo-existential podcast....that I've seen for three years. This is a really, really, really special vlog-cast. Good for you. Looks like you're burned out. Don't give up. Keep going. More content. Excellent work. My favorite, in a very sublimated category that goes far beyond what everyone else is doing with vanlife. Cheers.
It's not just the beautiful scenery it's the skill and vision to be able to capture it. Thank you for yet another work of art! I hope that your foot and ankle have now healed. ❤️
Christian's voice over at 7:53 reminds me of the quote from Thomas Gray's poem: "Full many a flower is born to blush unseen, And waste its sweetness on the desert air.”
Went straight to the comments and like always, you've blown people away. Tears, amazement, just such an amazing story teller. I always love your videos and I love seeing that others appreciate your work just as much.
...... brilliance ...... things are ever changing ... change is constant .... change causes things and ideas to evolve .... change effects our choices and wants ..... ultimately the route our life path takes is determined by our choices ... and, oh the choices we have ..... thx for the share Christian .. as always .. never stop dreaming, just dream bigger .. have fun be safe, save our oceans .....
Wow. I must say; this video had an impact on me. You are very fortunate in that you're able to record your memories as they happen, and this is such a better medium than pictures alone. I am jealous but also thankful for being able to see that part of the world, at that particular moment, through your eyes. P.S. You have a great wolf call too!
I sure am grateful to have this platform so I can share moments like this - almost seems criminal to keep them all to myself. And thanks, haha - tough to resist any chance to howl at the moon
Hollywood doesn't have the capability of putting out such beautiful, peaceful, pleasurable footage that you shared with us. There truly was a sacrifice on your part, and has not gone unnoticed. It was hypnotizing to say the very least. Thank you.
Each moment in time is unique and the passage of time is much more noticeable as you get older. I have had this discussion with my wife a lot as we get older. Most things are perspective and as you get older, the amount of it you carry with you is large compared to the moments you experience. You can really see time moving at 50! I try and enjoy the moments, diving deep into them and I am always trying to find something ahead of me to be curious about, excited about, etc. I am learning to sail, like really learning with instructors and getting out there to hone skills. I found new magic in that feeling of being carried by the wind, fine tuning the sails to push me through the water. I am thinking I will use that skill to push us to new adventures in a boat at some point, which is exciting. In the meantime, I try and find little things in each day. I enjoy hikes more than ever and try to spend my free time wisely. As always, your videography is beautiful and enjoyable to watch. Hope you find it enjoyable enough to continue bringing it to us from time to time.
Your last two videos have been Oscar worthy. The imagery, the pace, the editing, the music and the voice. You truly transport us in a manner that makes me yearn to be there. I have been following you since you started this journey and it's been cool watching how good you have become at doing this. Change is permanent. Getting older is not so bad. Keep up the great work and the dance moves....... : }
@@ChristianSchaffer Thank you... for what you do. Btw check your website info@email and or instagram msg. I think someone was reaching out to me pretending to be you, right after I posted this comment. I believe it was a scam. You should know. You can reply there if need more info. Cheers.
Hey girl! I have been following you for every it seems like. I took a break a year or two ago from everything, I was just a very dark place in my life. Dealing with loss, betrayal and not fitting in, homesickness and more loss. I was in Japan and even though i loved it, I was definitely home sick for my Montana skys and Washington forests Your videos have been so encouraging for me as well as sad and so many more wonderful emotions. I am back state side and I am beginning my new chapter of healing and loving the person I am. As I catch up I can relate to so many things that you have in your videos. Thank you for being you and your wonderful talent. Nothing last forever really hit me hard and I can so relate to it. If your ever in Montana the same time I am I would love to host you. Please don't ever stop being you. ❤
CS your storytelling skills are amazing. Not many will understand the simplicity of drawers closing with the echo of cutlery the same as van lifers. I miss those simple sounds. The views that nobody else will ever get to see because they decided to fly over them to their destination. Vistas that are seemingly endless even when you think you have embraced them all, Time seemingly speeds up as we get older so do your very best to enjoy the moment, be present. And never stop dancing. Thanks as always for sharing.
You’ll be in Nat Geo one day. And I’ll say “I told you so!” Whatever changes you are going through are documented so beautifully. We are all with you for the ride!
No kidding, nothing last forever, even after 70+ years I still have a love-hate relationship with "All Things Must Pass" ... this was a mesmerizing vid, thank you !!
Wow! truly stunning cinematography and story. I was so glad the title didn't mean you were doing something else. I know nothing lasts forever, but I hope your channel sticks around for quite some time! Thanks for sharing.
I know I say this every time but that was the best footage yet, wow, that moon shot was insane! Love the narrative, "travelers passing through" Keep it up made my day :)
I was jumping up and down with excitement when I got that moonrise coming up over the mountain - the bookend footage of that sequence is a shaky mess haha
my world is put on pause for 15 min. the pnw was my backyard from 2000 - 2015. you ignite my memories and imagination with the your production. ~thank you
Every time I watch one of these; it feels like an extended version of Into the Wild. Thank YOU for being here. The ankle is almost certainly an inversion sprain. Strap it, raise it, rest it and use high-ankle footwear whenever you can for support...
Wow! One of the best you tube videos I’ve ever seen. As blogs are public projections this one seemed truly personal and honest. The skills surrounding the making seemed effortless, which is contrary to reality, and is the mark of mastery. Beautiful and resonating - soulful. Thank you!
This. Is. So. Good. Looking at those almost painfully beautiful landscapes that will not be like this any more in an instant and also always be like this. Listening to your beautifully narrated inner monologue. The use of music, the timing. Fantastic. Having no health insurance is unimaginable for me though (in Germany)
Never miss a upload from you Christian and each video you make inspires me to be better. You have a amazing gift that brings cinematic & beautiful footage to us (almost like we are experiencing it with you). Keep on doing what you do. Like I said in your previous videos. You are amazingly inspirational 🙏 My favourite UA-camr! 🙏
Christian - thanks for producing such thoughtfully crafted and beautifully deliberate meditations on human concerns. The way you weave together your adventures with a greater, universal story is awe-inspiring. Thank you!
1. Because of you, so many people get to “go” and “feel” different places, times, serenity… vicariously. Thank you! 2. How do you stay so fresh and beautiful? 3. My friend, please make sure you have vehicle maintenance checks regularly, oil, windshield, fluid, tire pressure… 4. I am doing my first van life trip from Vegas to Grand Canyon. Only a few days to taste it. You were the inspiration.
The beauty of your photos and cinematography leave me stunned. I lose track of everything around me, focused on the inner peace I feel when I watch your work. There are times, like now, when I am moved to tears. I am forever grateful for these beautiful moments you provide me. Thank you. Much love and many blessings.
I'm not sure (hoping you're not) if you're thinking about giving it up. The past few months you've seemed like maybe you're thinking about it. You're talented in the art of storytelling and your images, videography and editing are all spectacular. I am waiting to see you when I turn on Nat Geo or a post from the NPS saying they've brought you on board to document our parks. Surprised neither of them hasn't tried to snag you. Anyway, you have stories to tell and adventures still waiting for you.
Christian, Such a pleasure viewing this paradise on earth knowing one day soon L too, will be on my journey, with eyes wide open with my mind, body, and soul like a sponge taking in this beauty, this gift and feeling so energized and alive! Thank You!🌞🌈🌎🛤🏔🏜🏝🌄⛺🌘🌟🌞⭐🌜🌚❄⚡💧🌊
Congratulations!!! You got me, I've been driving tractor trailers for 47 years, and I can say I've been everywhere. I'm retiring. I've been blessed to find you. you're able to take my mind back through time. This is my first comment I've ever left. THANK YOU!!
as a person who is right now in the middle of a revolution, it's good to know that seeing this extraordinary scenery is one of the few ways to reduce my mental pressure; Thank you Christian.♥️
You are nailing it ma'am,your work is indeed great medium for beauty, honor of mother nature. Your videos have absolutely a way different vibe Thanks for sharing and telling your story
Beautiful video Christian, you're right life is very fleeting. Cherish the fine moments and enjoy, we no not what is instore for us around the next bend. I hope your ankle is feeling better. Take care
I've seen a lot of your pieces, but, wow, this one really hit home. Film-wise, and the spare storytelling, superb. The music, and words, and images all worked together as one, and I forgot for a moment that I was watching a video on UA-cam. This is what I come looking for on UA-cam, and this one will remain with me for a long time. Only a few videos do that: Klara Harden's "Made In Iceland", Erik Normark's, "Five days Solo in Sarek National Park", and Iohan Gueorguiev's "Bikepacking Ruta de los Seis Miles and The Road to Rodeo (45days, 1000+km in Argentina EP29+30)" (though I love so many of his videos), to name a few. This is one of them. Thank you.
Such a pleasurable video to watch for all us tree huggin nature lovers. Reality in many ways is a mystery. And I like it like that. Happy Valentines Day.

I appreciate you 🥲🙏🏻
It always makes me happy when you come out with a new video. Your videos are always so pleasing to the eyes...and ears. Excellent job Christian.
I love that you keep in or put in your footsteps on the gravel and dirt. Simple things.
Thanks. Darren
Sounds like my kind of retreat ☺️
ça fait du bien de voir une personne nous montrer la beauté du monde réel,cela nous change du monde virtuel de Holywood.nul besoin des Avengers et de ses épigones pour rêver.merci pour ça Christian.
thank you Judith 🤍
Your titles jumble my emotions. I submerge myself within the visual tranquility and insightful philosophical poetry you compose. Yet with anxiety that it mat be your last.
And you end your visits with steadfast determination. And leave me with hope of another video. What an orchestra of emotion. Bravo if that's your intention.
4:18 Looks like living on a different planet. The peacefulness of the area is so stunning.
The fall months are my favorite, hardly any crowds at all during the weekdays
Wow. Never long enough but always perfectly formed. Thank you.
i agree nothing lasts forever..You only live once, but if you do it right, once is enough..Your work is amazing and thanks for all your videos, much appreciated..Take it easy with that injury and happy safe travels 👍🧡
Thanks James ☺️
This is the best vlogger-photo-existential podcast....that I've seen for three years. This is a really, really, really special vlog-cast. Good for you. Looks like you're burned out. Don't give up. Keep going. More content. Excellent work. My favorite, in a very sublimated category that goes far beyond what everyone else is doing with vanlife. Cheers.
It's not just the beautiful scenery it's the skill and vision to be able to capture it. Thank you for yet another work of art!
I hope that your foot and ankle have now healed. ❤️
thank you 🥲🙏🏻
Christian's voice over at 7:53 reminds me of the quote from Thomas Gray's poem: "Full many a flower is born to blush unseen, And waste its sweetness on the desert air.”
Went straight to the comments and like always, you've blown people away. Tears, amazement, just such an amazing story teller. I always love your videos and I love seeing that others appreciate your work just as much.
🥲🙏🏻🤍
👍😍
...... brilliance ...... things are ever changing ... change is constant .... change causes things and ideas to evolve .... change effects our choices and wants ..... ultimately the route our life path takes is determined by our choices ... and, oh the choices we have ..... thx for the share Christian .. as always .. never stop dreaming, just dream bigger .. have fun be safe, save our oceans .....
And thanks, haha - tough to resist any chance to howl at the moon
... like the wolf call too :)
I love that, thanks for sharing ☺️⛵️
your kettle is incredible. What a great idea to save space. I'm speechless.
Your last two videos have been Oscar worthy. The imagery, the pace, the editing, the music and the voice. You truly transport us in a manner that makes me yearn to be there. I have been following you since you started this journey and it's been cool watching how good you have become at doing this. Change is permanent. Getting older is not so bad. Keep up the great work and the dance moves....... : }
Wow, thank you Masood 🥲🙏🏻
Thanks for another wonderful video, Christian. They are inspirational and motivate me when I’m feeling down about my own nomadic journey.
And I’ll say “I told you so!”
Whatever changes you are going through are documented so beautifully. We are all with you for the ride!
That would be a total dream come true 🥲🙏🏻
thanks to your journey, I realizes how beautiful the world that surrounds us is. 😊 Thank you.
Thanks Dino ☺️🙌🏻
Overwhelmingly beautiful and breathtaking!!! Your talent should be recognized. Soon...... Thank you!
That sir, is one of the best compliments I’ve ever received 🥲🙏🏻
Thank you! And yeah… the U.S has some stunning scenery, that’s for sure. As for the rest… 🙃
Thank you, Christian!!! I'm glad to see you are well. I hope your ankle is feeling better now.
Never miss a upload from you Christian and each video you make inspires me to be better. You have a amazing gift that brings cinematic & beautiful footage to us (almost like we are experiencing it with you). Keep on doing what you do. Like I said in your previous videos. You are amazingly inspirational 🙏
My favourite UA-camr! 🙏
Thank you Matti, you’re seriously too kind 🥲
@@ChristianSchaffer Not at all I mean every word. Hope you are feeling better now 🙏 keep on smiling
we are travelers all of us will passing through ----wow ,this is the core of believing ,god bless you ,
Christian - thanks for producing such thoughtfully crafted and beautifully deliberate meditations on human concerns. The way you weave together your adventures with a greater, universal story is awe-inspiring. Thank you!
🥲🙏🏻
1. Because of you, so many people get to “go” and “feel” different places, times, serenity… vicariously.
Thank you!
2. How do you stay so fresh and beautiful?
3. My friend, please make sure you have vehicle maintenance checks regularly, oil, windshield, fluid, tire pressure…
4. I am doing my first van life trip from Vegas to Grand Canyon. Only a few days to taste it. You were the inspiration.
Another stunner, I love how the music echoed your howl. Thank you for the reminder of the importance of this moment... ❤
🤍
That would be a dream job for sure ❤️
Simply stunning landscapes, cloudscapes, and videography, oh and the majestic music and voiceovers! This should be seen on the big screen! Thank you!
Glad you enjoyed it 🥲🙏🏻
Nice Wolf Call!😊I love your shots of the moon!
It’s interesting how the Sun gives life and beauty to something so devoid of anything.
THANK YOU!!
honored to be the recipient of your first comment 🥲
My Dad always said..'Nothing lasts forever.' and to this day it doesn't. Well done Christian. We are passing thru temporarily.
You're so talented Christian. Your videos are medicine for the soul.
as a person who is right now in the middle of a revolution, it's good to know that seeing this extraordinary scenery is one of the few ways to reduce my mental pressure; Thank you Christian.♥️
You are nailing it ma'am,your work is indeed great medium for beauty, honor of mother nature.
Your videos have absolutely a way different vibe
Thanks for sharing and telling your story
The sequence from 13:45 and on 😌 such eye candy.
Beautiful video Christian, you're right life is very fleeting. Cherish the fine moments and enjoy, we no not what is instore for us around the next bend. I hope your ankle is feeling better. Take care
I absolutely love this video. You help us to take that second and third look at nature that we are sometimes too preoccupied to see. Thank you.
Beautiful! You are allowing people to live through your experiences. Love the mountains.
Those views through the trees at Mt Rainier...OMG! Absolutely breathtaking!
Safe travels and hope the ankle is getting better!
Thank you, for the effort you have invested in sharing all the beauty your eyes have seen.
thank you for sharing with us, you brought me to a relaxed space where I did not need to begin another vlogger for a while. ❤💚
You are so beautiful inside and out. Thank you for being you. Never change. Much ❤
some of these scenes are otherworldly. I have never seen such splendour.
i always love the calming music combined with scenic backgrounds in your vids
