@@brianodonnell4496 I would love to see Roy get added, possibly as a “boss” alt for Marth in the same vein as Peppy, Slippy and Ebisumaru, but due to how much hate Fire Emblem gets for over representation in the official games they’ll probably just stick with Marth alone.
I adore that cutscene in the beginning. The little details have me hooked, Meowth gets like, a half second of an intro as a fighter and immediately gets wrecked. Truly a dedicated fan!
This project makes the original game look like some kind of early-access demo
tbf the original Smash 64 feels like a prototype itself compared to Melee and to other games on the same system.
It just felt like it was lacking content is all.

@@Sakis_Husband that's your opinion, because when I was 6 years old I thought the original was a full game and that it didn't lack any content, but I admit that without a second player, the original game starts getting repetitive (but that actually happens in every Smash game once you unlock everything).

Mad Piano and Conker are legitimately two of the most hype characters I've ever seen added to a Smash mod, and seeing Remix continue to add more and more is beyond exciting. This mod is great stuff.

I am speechless. You guys are incredible for making this entire game and adding in Marth AND Mewtwo is just so amazing. My jaw hit the floor when Marth stepped to Mewtwo, just incredible and unexpected.

For me Smash remix is the most impressive mod of a Smash game i ever seen. Not only it is for Smash64 (The one which got probaly the least attention in the modding scene before) but you guy took it and completly break hell lose with it! :D
So many ideas, so many characters and stages are added (without even replacing existing characters!) New Items, even modes!
You guys deserve all the credit and praise you got and i'm curious what you will suprise us next time :D

Always just thought that if it ever happened we would just get a very angular face similar to Link and Capt. Falcon, but they made him look nice and recognizable even on the 64. As for Mewtwo, with double jump cancels and a shockingly fast projectile, he seems like a really threatening character and one who will take a lot of time and practice to master
At this point, I'm expecting them to have remade the entirety of Subspace Emissary in Smash 64.
EDIT: I mean more in the sense that they are capable of it, not that I expect them to do it next update.
I would just expect Melee Adventure mode but yeah an Adventure mode looks doable for them

My friend Mike and I play this mod at his house all the time, emulating it on his Wii, each update I re-install the game and check out the new stuff
and boy is he gonna love this, this update is HUGE and will surely expand our options when playing team match against the CPU the whole evening
Note that the Pokémon Trainer is very tall, and Pikachu is usually the size of other small characters like: Mario, Ness, Kirby, Fox, Luigi and Lucas
It's interesting how they are adding the cancelled fighters that were supossed to be in Smash 64 (just missing King Dedede)

Words cannot express how amazing and fleshed out everything looks, I love the new toggle options, new costumes and all star mode. This mod keeps the charm of the original while improving upon it. Can’t wait for more cool additions.

It's amazing that this mod has come this far. This is the sort of update for Smash 64 I have been waiting for for a long time. I hope they continue development as I'm sure there's more stuff and characters they can fit in. For example. I would like to see: Peach, King Dedede, Pit, Roy, Zelda/Shiek, and Mr. Game & Watch from the original roster. Even some guest characters like Sonic, Snake, Ryu, Cloud and Pac-Man would be nice too! (Banjo! Please?)

All I really want is for the Smash 64 "almost made it" list to be fulfilled, which I forgot who all is on it and I'm too lazy to look it up buuut I think Dedede might be the last one left on it.

Or even Conker or wario or even wolf they were never confirmed in sakurai list only 4 characters I'm sure somewhere in development it was considered but only 4 have been stated so that would make 16 playable characters + 4 that I mentioned not consider we could be looking at a 20 playable character roster
Speechless. Amazing video presentation. The marth was such a curveball that I didn't expect it. Loved the pikachu vs mewtwo battle as well. What i love most about this mode is that despite the plethora of content is still feels only additive. It feels like I'm still playing the original game only with extras instead of something different. Well done.

Thank you guys so so SO much for adding so much content and still retaining the original nostalgic experience. You and the mod are both legendary for this
This mod, really shows the potential that Smash has, even from the very beginning, it was technically possible to go even further beyond with the game, but of course, there were a lot of limitations at the time.
Also, I think is very cute that the many of the chosen characters are actually part of the officially confirmed Smash 64 rejects (because of time constrains), with Bowser, Mewtwo, and of course, Marth (which was confirmed directly by the man himself).
