I think Michael Ball should play phantom
He did and he was tremendous.
I prefer Alfie's voice, but Ball injects so more heart into the performance. That's the difference between just singing the words and singing through the mask of the Phantom's soul. It's a shame Alfie turned down the role. He'd have made a great Phantom and he'd sing these songs with so much more feeling once he put himself into that mindspace.
I love Michael, but in my opinion, Alfie has the most beautiful voice in the world.

they have both wonderful voices. ❤Michael❤ in my opinion has the perfect voice. he can tell a story in a song and interprets it like no other one can. Alfies' voice suits opera and power songs but he just hasnt got the interpretation. when you watch Michael sing he tells alot if the story with his eyes, Alfie disappoints sometimes as he shuts his eyes a lot. But wonderful voices both. Michael can sing any song! but if we all liked the same thing it would be boring wouldnt it!.... ❤❤
Two incredible men and two great voices and an absolutely superb concert in Newcastle. Looking forward to Michael and Alfie touring Together again. Didn't want the evening to end.
Alfie's voice is too harsh for this song ... But is an exceptional singer nonetheless
